Manaketes don't exist in the Fates world.

* HilariousInHindsight: This wouldn't be the last time [[VideoGame/FireEmblemFates the series would star a half-human half-manakete protagonist]].

Forgot to add a note for my edit, but I added this here, because as an autistic person who read this manga, I dislike the fact that the fan translation had to use the R-slur, even if it's only used once, and it bothers me.

* TheScrappy: Despite being the main character, Al is not popular at all and even people who enjoy the manga can't stand him. It's bad enough that he's seen as one of the most painfully stereotypical {{Shonen}} protagonists you could think of, who isn't just annoying but also doesn't fit in with the rest of the series at all, but what ''really'' makes people despise him is the fact that he [[SpotlightStealingSquad upstages Roy in his own story]], which to many feels like something out of a bad self-insert fanfiction. How much his backstory [[spoiler:as the half-dragon son of Hartmut]] messes with the established lore of the Elibe games doesn't do him any favors, either.

* ValuesDissonance: The fan translation has Tiena calling Al "Retarded" in the third chapter, a word that has long since been considered an offensive slur.

Requires work commercially underperform to prove it alienated.

* AudienceAlienatingPremise: It's a manga based on ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBindingBlade''! Except Roy is not even the main character, an [[OriginalGeneration OC]] hogs all the glory, and it messes heavily with the Elibe lore, though.
