* FridgeBrilliance: Remember Carter's views on Black People? Yeah, since he dated Lois at one point, we can guess some of Jerome's views are justified, though that probably adds another layer to why him and Lois dated.

Rewording; Both Sides Have A Point is not YMMV, this trope is.

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: More like "Both Sides are Wrong" in this case. While Jerome has a reason to be weary of White people due to his experiences with institutionalized racism/effects thereof, he shouldn't have been so quick to judge Chris and Pam's relationship on those pretenses, however, on the same hand, while Peter is well-meaning, he's really, really, ''really'' ignorant as hell, which isn't doing him any favors in convincing Jerome that things aren't all bad.

* SignatureScene: Peter hallucinating Quagmire as a toilet, which became the subject of several memes.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: While Jerome shouldn't have been so quick to judge Chris and Pam's relationship on racial pretences, he has a reason to be weary of White people due to his experiences with institutionalized racism and effects thereof. And while Peter is well-meaning, he's also ''really'' ignorant, which doesn't do him any favors in convincing Jerome that White people aren't all bad.

* JerkassWoobie: Jerome, who is revealed to be rather livid towards white people, due to his own bad experiences. His daughter sets him straight at the end, although it's easy to feel for him.

* EarWorm: As racist as it is, "Thank the Whites" WILL stick with you for a while.

* {{Hatedom}}: This episode is disliked by a lot of people who believe black people can't be racist against white people and missed the point that the song "Thank the Whites" was, like a few songs on ''FamilyGuy'', satirical and not meant to be taken seriously.
