* BrokenBase: A musical example. Their sound team is highly-regarded to the point that it spawned the phrase "There is no bad music from Falcom, just some that is less awesome than the others." or some variant of it is widespread among the fandom. However, the director of the sound team from around 2015 onward, Mitsuo Singa, has came under heavy scrutiny for his poor sound mixing and heavy usage of hard rock, resulting in very inconsistent quality relative to other members like Wataru Ishibashi"Silver Will", Ryo Takeshita"Dreamy and Boisterous Holy Land", Saki Momiyama"Geofront", "Unfathomed Force" and "Get Over The Barrier!", Hayato Sonoda"Stand Up Again and Again!", Takahiro Unisuga"Spiral of Erebos" and "Blue Destination", Yukihiro Jindo"Infinity Rage" and "The Perfect Steel of ZERO" and Shuntaro Koguchi"Wind-Up Yesterday!". About the company itself, not its games.

* CultClassic: The company as a whole is widely respected yet little known in the west, compared to other RPG juggernauts. Nevertheless, Falcoms earned a very, very loyal fanbase. Among their games, Xanadu Next is deeply respected for its tight dungeon-crawling gameplay as one of their last and best PC-exclusives. Gurumin also gained a loyal following over the years for its fun main character, lively and cute graphics, and enjoyable action platforming gameplay.

Per gushing cleanup: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13134531370A81899700&page=35#comment-860. Regardless of how well-received Falcom's soundtracks are, gushing about them outside of the Sugar Wiki page is not allowed. I'm rewriting the line to be more neutral.

* TrollingCreator: As noted elsewhere, the current head of Falcom, Toshihiro Kondo, is infamous for the seeming delight he takes in infuriating fans. In part from his origin as an AscendedFanboy, the man's enjoyed messing with the fandom's minds every now and then when engaging with company fans regarding future material. It doesn't help he has a habit of not quite lying, not quite spoiling through context clues in the marketing department, wording interview and press replies ambiguously and releasing screenshots of upcoming games without context, seemingly just to provoke their audience. This reached a kind of apex in the endings of both Cold Steel 3 and the default railroaded ending of Cold Steel 4, which stick out as trolling attempts that upends many character motivations on a massive Cliffhanger, leaving many of the Legend of Heroes fans to speculate on the fate of the characters for some time.

Ensemble Dark Horse misuse. Music in and of itself does not qualify for the trope, nore do their composers. It's meant to be for side characters in works that become popular within the fanbase.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: If there's one thing that any Falcom fan can agree on, it is that the company's employed some of the greatest composers in gaming across its thirty year-plus history. As such, many musicians have dedicated fan followings for their particular SignatureStyle. Of these, Saki Momiyama, Masanori Osaki, and especially Takahiro Unisuga are most celebrated.

* EpilepticTrees: Due to the amount of interconnected WorldBuilding in the VideoGame/KisekiSeries, many fans jokingly speculate on a theory that all Falcom games take place in the same world, and often go to great lengths to cram every single game that Falcom has made into the Kiseki lore such as VideoGame/DragonSlayer, VideoGame/Ys and VideoGame/TokyoXanadu. This resulted in spread sheets such as this popping up in many Falcom discussions, and the theory itself is not unfounded since a lot of Falcom games like to reference each other directly and indirectly on a regular basis. Kondo being a TrollingCreator about all this certainly added more fuel into the speculation.

* TrollingCreator: As noted above, Toshihiro Kondo, due to his origin as an AscendedFanboy, enjoys messing with the fandom fandom's minds]] every now and then when engaging with the rest of the fandom.fans. Sometimes getting the marketing department to word things ambiguously and releasing screenshots of upcoming games without context just to provoke the fandom to grow forests of epileptic trees. Heck, the ending of Cold Steel 3 and the default railroaded ending of Cold Steel 4 are major trolling attempts that messes with fans of many of the Legend of Heroes characters!

* EpilepticTrees: Due to the amount of interconnected WorldBuilding in the VideoGame/KisekiSeries, many fans jokingly speculate on a theory that all Falcom games take place in the same world, and often go to great lengths to cram every single game that Falcom has made into the Kiseki lore such as VideoGame/DragonSlayer, Franchise/Ys and VideoGame/TokyoXanadu. This resulted in spread sheets such as this popping up in many Falcom discussions, and the theory itself is not unfounded since a lot of Falcom games like to reference each other directly and indirectly on a regular basis. Kondo being a TrollingCreator about all this certainly added more fuel into the speculation.

Basing this on my experience in the Falcom discord.

* CultClassic: the company as a whole is widely respected, but little known in the west, compared to other RPG juggernauts. Nevertheless, Falcoms earned a very, very loyal fanbase. Among their games, Xanadu Next is deeply respected for its tight dungeon-crawling gameplay as one of their last and best PC-exclusives. Gurumin also gained a loyal following over the years for its fun main character, lively and cute graphics, and enjoyable action platforming gameplay..
