Compare with the far more disturbing fate that befalls Darkner enemies that get hit by Snowgrave if it's hacked into the game (although admittedly, that happening to Berdly would be a bit ''too'' dark). However, most of this is made up for by the discovery of his lifeless (or at least comatose) form in the Light World.

In cases where they ''do'' acknowledge it, they paint at it as either Spamton [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone becoming remorseful after seeing the consequences of Noelle's rampage]] or otherwise [[EvenEvilHasStandards being disgusted at what you've done]], and pulling a HeelFaceTurn to stop Kris and avenge his fallen friends. In reality, Spamton is a remorseless prick who's completely fine with the "[Total Jackass Stunts]" you have pulled, and fights you for purely pragmatic reasons. Even on the Normal Route, there are implications he never had any good intentions for what to do after getting his NEO form. In a nutshell, the fanbase turns an EvilVsEvil conflict between Spamton and the SOUL into a classic good vs. evil story like the battle with Sans in ''Undertale''. In fact, it's possible the Sans fight is one of the main reasons for why this belief exists, as they're both small, funny characters with HiddenDepths [[TookALevelInBadass taking a level in badass]] and delivering a brutal, yet amazing boss fight with even better music, while their enemy is a genocidal human.
