* {{Narm}}: Berdly's death in the Weird Route is an incredibly shocking moment that gets a dread-inducing buildup, but the end result somewhat clashes with this, with Berdly being preserved in a perfectly symmetrical prism (that happens to look a lot like a [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda Rupee]]), and his frozen form inside the ice block just being a reused, silhouetted version of the "shocked" pose he makes throughout the Chapter, which was primarily used in ''comedic'' moments. Compare with the far more disturbing fate that befalls Darkner enemies that get hit by Snowgrave if it's hacked into the game (although admittedly, that happening to Berdly would be a bit ''too'' dark). However, most of this is made up for by the discovery of his lifeless (or at least comatose) form in the Light World.

** The Addisons get this a lot in fanart. In the game, they have very simplistic designs with basic cutout shapes for heads, but fanart often transforms them into smoldering TallDarkAndHandsome {{Bishonen}} with very elaborate hairstyles. Pink Addison is an especially popular target due to having a ponytail and thus being interpreted as a LongHairedPrettyboy.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Queen threatens in her first BossBattle that she will forcibly assimilate the trio and make them bow to her thinking, since Berdly "[[NightmareFuel came around]]" to that. The thing is that she just straight-up kills you if you fail to dodge or run out of healing items; several attacks do involve plugs, but she doesn't try to brainwash Kris, Susie, or Ralsei. It's unclear if Ralsei is naturally immune owing to being magical, or if Queen overdid her attack a little, but it would be interesting to see how the Heroes would fend off her influence, and how they would look with plugs on their faces.

This is now a Trivia trope that needs to be backed up with Word of God to show that it was intended.

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** A common complaint about the first Chapter was how long it took to spare some enemies if you were trying to go the Pacifist route, due to several ACT options needing a large amount of the Tension meter to use. Using Tension to spare enemies is far less common in Chapter 2, although some special actions do still require it. Also, boss enemies will be automatically spared if their Mercy Meter reaches 100% in Chapter 2, removing the need to dodge one last attack from a boss in order to win the fight.
** Another issue fans had with Chapter 1 was Kris being the only party member able to ACT, which limited combat options and made Susie and Ralsei's usefulness highly situational, especially during a PacifistRun. Chapter 2 addresses this by introducing X-Actions, a more limited form of [=ACTing=] for other party members that makes them more useful for pacifist players and expands the amount of options/strategies available to match violent approaches.

** Spamton being the fan-favorite of the Chapter and a JerkassWoobie makes people forget his MoralEventHorizon crossing on the Weird Route, [[UpToEleven or in extreme cases]], basically any instance of anything evil he's ever done. In cases where they ''do'' acknowledge it, they paint at it as either Spamton [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone becoming remorseful after seeing the consequences of Noelle's rampage]] or otherwise [[EvenEvilHasStandards being disgusted at what you've done]], and pulling a HeelFaceTurn to stop Kris and avenge his fallen friends. In reality, Spamton is a remorseless prick who's completely fine with the "[Total Jackass Stunts]" you have pulled, and fights you for purely pragmatic reasons. Even on the Normal Route, there are implications he never had any good intentions for what to do after getting his NEO form. In a nutshell, the fanbase turns an EvilVsEvil conflict between Spamton and the SOUL into a classic good vs. evil story like the battle with Sans in ''Undertale''. In fact, it's possible the Sans fight is one of the main reasons for why this belief exists, as they're both small, funny characters with HiddenDepths [[TookALevelInBadass taking a level in badass]] and delivering a brutal, yet amazing boss fight with even better music, while their enemy is a genocidal human.
