Minor re-write. Bane did show up in the original White Knight but it was also a pretty small role as well.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: The sequel introduced the ''White Knight''-verse version of [[spoiler: Bane. He spends a few short pages establishing himself by manhandling Azrael... Only for one of Azrael's minions to cut his venom tube from behind, after which Azrael cuts Bane's head off like a floundering fish. After that, one can only wonder ''why'' they even bothered introducing Bane if they were just going to kill him off so abruptly.]]

Based on reviews from both critics and users on the Comicbook Roundup website; as well as user reviews from various book sites, it just sounds like personal complaining rather than a general consensus. And the claim that they can’t create new stories now that Batman’s identity is exposed also sounds way too personal.

* {{Sequelitis}}: While the first ''ComicBook/BatmanWhiteKnight'' received praise for its art and its concept (though the [[BrokenBase execution of it was up for debate]]), reception towards the sequels and spin-offs have been considerably worse, with the story spinning out of control and the premise wearing thin. It also doesn't help that they [[spoiler: pretty much killed off a vast majority of iconic Batman characters and elements, ending with Batman being exposed and facing trial, making it unclear just ''how'' they can continue the story in the future unless they choose to bring in Ra's al-Ghul or an obscure Batman villain from the 40s or 50s that everyone's forgotten about]].

* CharacterRerailment: In ''ComicBook/BatmanWhiteKnight'', the Joker was presented as a mischievous prankster fanboy who wasn’t as bad as the main universe counterpart, and that the Gotham police had little evidence of him involved with serious crimes. Here, his plots are more dangerous, he plans to undo the work that his alter ego Jack had done combating exposing corruption in Gotham and he brings in Jean-Paul Valley, helping him become the murderous Azrael.
