However, bronze is a ''lot'' tougher than many people think, able to be hardened to a degree surpassing most forms of iron. If the Ataeginans figured out how to make quality bronze weapons, they could very well indeed punch through Xenomorph armor; the problem is how little wounds tend to bother them and dealing with their acid blood. Exploiting the properties of caminus leaves to neutralize the acid blood solves both problems, and are major plot points in the novel and turning points in Ataegina's fight against the demons.
