* BigThinShortTrio: Viper, Io Shirai and HZK in that order while defending the Artist Of Stardom for Queen's Quest...though Shirai was pretty short herself.

* CamelCase: [=AphroditE=], spell it right or face the wrath of Queen's Quest.

* CompetenceZone: Some where between 18 and 50. Fuka will train anyone, regardless of age, but will give any match involving anyone with an incomplete bone structure a two minute time limit tops, if she can help it. Almost every stable has at least one TagAlongKid of some sort and Io Shirai managed to win the Artist Of Stardom for Queen's Quest multiple times while figuratively and sometimes literally carrying some combination of AZM, HZK and or Momo Watanabe. Watanabe would succeed Shirai as Queen's Quest leader(and carrier) after aging into the zone.

* EvilCounterpart: Hailey Hatred to Yoshiko, Leah Vaughan to Kellie Skater, Hudson Envy to Cheerleader Melissa, Chelsea Green to Chelsea Diamond, Wrestling/KellyKlein to Nicole Savoy, not that the first three really needed evil counterparts. Some fans mistook Vaughan for Skater until she changed her gear.

* FragileSpeedster: Natsuki*Taiyo is tiny even by this fed's standards and is the first and most commonly thought of High Speed Champion, before STARDOM existed even. Kris Wolf, AZM and Riho tended to be pushed this way after Taiyo's retirment but "Portugual's Perfect Athlete" Shanna claims to be the true queen of high speed.

Kagetsu likes Sumire anyway and that tolerance started the schism between Kagetsu and Hana Kimura, as Kimura and Tam Nakano had much less patience for the dysfunction Natsu brought to Oedo~tai.

Glamour model Yuziki Aikawa was even immediately pushed as one of their top two baby faces straight out of the dojo, but aside from her, only Mayu Iwatani enjoyed career longevity. Undeterred, STARDOM simply did photo shoots with the wrestlers who did last in the model's place, with even the irreverent heels of Oedo~tai setting up breaks in between their mischief making and EvilGloating to doll up.

* Chokeholds: Utami Hayashishita uses a lot of blood chokes, but in most cases doesn't have the patience to wait and see if they will work and mainly uses them as transitions for suplexes or slams. Questionable strategy as it is, she's strong and quick to enough to usually make it work. Her Queen's Quest stablemate Konami will wait out a triangle choke, but has no success in getting Hayashishita in seeing the validity in doing so.
* CommutingOnABus: Hana Kimura had been appearing in World Wonder Ring STARDOM with Oedo~tai since the Summer of 2016. She got a lot of attention, what with her dancing, winning of title belts-holding the Goddess Of Stardom for nearly a year Kagetsu in particular, and her determination to end the career of Iwatani, but Kagetsu was the offical leader of Oedo~tai and Kimura wasn't officially considered part of the STARDOM roster until May of 2019. By then she had turned on Kagetsu and was in the process of taking over the International Army and turning it into the miscreant Tokyo Cyber Squad. Granted, Kagetsu herself had been in and out of STARDOM in 2016 before finally getting a roster spot and becoming the official Oedo~tai leader in 2017.
* DancingIsSeriousBusiness: To Hana Kimura anyway, dancing is worth prolonging a match, and breaking the rules of a dance off, even one she is not currently involved in, is a grave enough offense for her to send whatever PowerStable she is apart of after you. As Andras Miyagi showed, headbaning is not dance, Hana will take your legs for it.

* PintSizedPowerHouse: Much of the talent produced from STARDOM's dojo is on the smaller side. It was SelfDeprecation when Kaori Yoneyama, who is used to being dwarfed by the rest of the roster, managed to win the Artist Of Stardom with the just barely larger Yuhi and Kairi Hojo and decided to call their team "Chibis". The tallest person, Hojo, was an imperial 5'2 and there have since been even shorter teams to win the belts. Still, Chibis didn't have much of an answer for Alpha Female and Female Predator Amazon coming for their belts.

** Kagetsu didn't think Giulia was worth the mist in their first meeting, so she stole a drink of water from outside of the ring and spit that on her instead, then spit on the referee for complaining.

* SuperSpit: Kagetsu uses much of the poison fog spectrum, and isn't above "misting" her opponent multiple times in a single match.

** Star Fire had aspiration of using lucha libre to help people and changing society for the better. Kyoko Kimura couldn't get those thoughts out of her head, but did convince Star Fire to put all that on hold.

* TheGiant: Alpha Female, Female Predator Amazon, Queen Maya and Madison Eagles on height. Goya Kong and Viper on weight. Eagles is a bit of a subversion, having a fairly mat work heavy style, but she did some bulking up before coming to STARDOM to look the part and overcoming her was part of a trial series for Takumi Iroha, who is one of STARDOM's larger wrestlers that was nonetheless dwarfed by Eagles and is something of a high flier to boot.

* BilingualDialog: Some of the gaijin learn Japanese, but most of them don't even speak each other's languages. Some of the stables that heavily recruit gaijin have "translators" who will switch language based on who they are speaking to, like Thunder Rosa in Oedo~tai, but for the most part gaijin conversations tend to consist of speaking to each other in their own language or ignoring each other altogether and hoping their point is at least made to the crowd.

* DelinquentHair: Yoshiko dies her hair blonde because she loves "Yankiis". Kyoko Kimura made a point to replace her with a "real" Yankii in Hailey Hatred.

* FanserviceFauxFight: While Thunder Rock held Goddess Of Stardom the World Wonder Ring STARDOM website teaser featured pictures of Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani "wrestling" each other and pulling each other's hair.

* MisplacedRetribution: After being invited to the promotion to prove the world's best women's wrestlers would indeed be offered shots at the World Of Stardom, Wrestling/MercedesMartinez beat up Nanae Takahashi in revenge for Wrestling/SumieSakai coming into her old home promotion and taking her title back to J'd, which was one of STARDOM's predecessors.

* OlderHeroVersusYoungerVillain: Yoshiko formed a gang with Io Shirai, Mayu Iwatani and Reo Hazuki for the purpose of holding down the older wrestlers of STARDOM, and by older wrestlers she meant Nanae Takahashi.

* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Wrestling/Holidead was introduced as the tag team partner of Alex Lee and a member of Oedo~tai alongside Act Yasukawa and Kris Wolf. The first thing all three did when she stepped into the ring was give her three on one beating, even though it was a tag match where Lee was Holidead's partner. There was one member of Oedo~tai, Thunder Rosa, who eventually took a liking to Holidead, but it's still a bestbuds friendship. Two if one counts Wrestling/LaRosaNegra, who is nonetheless is paranoid about Holidead trying to stab her.

* TheRival: As far as angles go, Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling is World Wonder Ring STARDOM's main rival promotion. In practice, SGPW is about as regionally focused as its name implies and Nanae Takahashi's tartmyownplinter fed [=SEAdLINNNG=] is their most obvious rival.

* BoundAndGagged: Hana Kimura's Oedo~tai repeatedly tried to kidnap and or kill Mayu Iwatani, which included trying to bind and gag her with the streamers fans were throwing Iwatani's way.
* BreastAttack: Many of the established wrestlers, athletes recruited directly from sports and scouted martial artists resented the fact STARDOM was catering to models so heavily in its early years, the heels especially. Most of their ire was directed at Yuzuki Aikawa and manifest in attempts to ruin her looks, be it her face or her breasts.
* CardCarryingVillain: After Act Yasukawa betrayed Trouble 2 Maker for Kimura Monster gun, she started calling herself "Evil Actress Soul"

* EqualOpportunityEvil: Kyoko Kimura used the World Of STARDOM defense clause to recruit the toughest and nastiest from around the globe that she could for her "Monster Army" she intended to topple the company with, the German giant Alpha Female winning the belt being nice bonus. Oedo~tai, what the faction became after Act Yasukawa's takeover, takes it's name from an isolationist period of Japan but continues on with Monster gun's cosmopolitan tendencies.
* RivalsTeamUp: After Meiko Satomura beat Kairi Hojo for the belt, Hojo and Thunder Rock vowed to work together until The World Of STARDOM was won back from Meiko Satomura when they saw she was using it as Sendai Girls' World Championship belt. They stuck together even afterwards, made a point of showing a united front outside of STARDOM and tended to run roughshod over the heels even when they weren't always on the same page inside of it.
* TheGiant: Alpha Female, Queen Maya and Madison Eagles on height. Goya Kong and Viper on weight.
* ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything: Hudon Envy refers to Kairi Hojo as "Fake ass pirate." Hojo is a competitive yacht sailor, but her most famous angle in the company revolved around recovering what was taken, rather than theft.

* RivalsTeamUp: FallacyOfDivision: As individuals, Kairi Hojo, Mayu Iwatani and Io Shirai were among of the most vulnerable women to ever be called STARDOM's "Ace". Shirai, considered the most dominant of the three, was beaten flat by a then rookie Hudson Envy, but Shirai and Iwatani as a team were a nut Envy could not crack no matter which partner she recruited. Shirai, Iwatani and Hojo as a trio seemed nearly unstoppable at points.
* HandOrObjectUnderwear: Star Fire was vocal about being a luchadora instead of a model, but she knew what she was getting into when signing with STARDOM and had as much fun with their "promotional" photo shoots and videos as she could. She even frequently removed her mask, but made sure to always hide her face, not unlike Flamita in Wrestling/DragonGate.
* HellBentForLeather: Lampshaded by Wrestling/Cross Storm, who all basically stated she didn't plan on wrestling leather and was only wearing it because it looked she would look sexy in a promotional campaign.
* KidAppealCharacter: The Kid's Fight series at least began as parody of the concept with the nine year old girl HARUKA, whose first opponent, Yuzupon, was in turn a parody of Tiger Mask, one of professional wrestling's most successful kid appeal characters who was assaulting the child instead.
* MaskedLuchador: Much like Kaientai Dojo's Mask Festival and Fukumen's Mask Fiesta, STARDOM also hosts events were every wrestler who is not already a masked luchador becomes one. STARDOM's version tends to double as a HalloweenEpisode.
* MissFanservice: The company took a similar approach to the by then defunct JD STAR in that it took to training models to be wrestlers while putting a heavy emphasis on glamour photo shoots.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Even before STARDOM proper was running, Nanae Takahashi knew the company was going get flak for heavily recruiting models and Yuzuki Aikawa in particular would be looked on with scorn for all the promotion she was getting while being one and a rookie to boot, so she promised everyone's concerns would be addressed as soon as possible. Takahashi promised Aikawa's dues would be paid in full by the end of her first match at Yuzupon Matsuri before STARDOM's first official show. It should have been a SquashMatch but Takahashi deliberately drew it out to make sure Aikawa's body was sufficiently bruised and swollen.
* NotInTheFace: Face punches were banned in STARDOM in response to the negative publicity they gained from the "ghastly match". Initially it seemed like all punches were forbidden but Io Shirai quickly disproved that by giving her springboard superman punch to the back of Hudson Envy's head.
* RivalsTeamUp
** Yuzuki Aikawa and her biggest rival Yoko Bito teamed up to form the BY Hou TagTeam to overcome a wall both had failed to scale in Nanae Takahashi and went on to become the first Goddess Of Stardom champions.
**
After Meiko Satomura beat Kairi Hojo for the belt, Hojo and Thunder Rock vowed to work together until The World Of STARDOM was won back from Meiko Satomura when they saw she was using it as Sendai Girls' World Championship belt. They stuck together even afterwards, made a point of showing a united front outside of STARDOM and tended to run roughshod over the heels even when they weren't always on the same page inside of it.
* SpitefulSpit
** Act Yasukawa initially came to the ring with a bottle of rum because she enjoyed alcohol, rum was one of her favorite samurai's choice of drink and the particular brand was brewed in her own district. She kept bringing it to the ring with her because it was something she could spit on the fans chanting her name.
** Yoshiko tracked down Kyoko Kimura in the locker room, beat her down and shoved a banana down her throat to add insult to injury. Kimura wasn't capable of spitting it on Yoshiko in the condition Yoshiko left her in, but it was clear from her body language that was what she was trying to do.
* StrongerSibling: Physically speaking, Mio Shirai was this to Io, and was better known and more respected in part because of it. Mio showed up very rarely in STARDOM however, where Io was allowed to make more of name for herself.
* TheCorrupter
** Filipina photographer and English teacher Kris Wolf happened upon joshi puroresu while doing a hands on study of Japanese culture. She tried to learn as much as she could from everyone she met, always show respect and follow the rules but Kyoko Kimura suggested Wolf should "Follow her heart" and Wolf's heart said "Fuck Everything". Before long Kimura Monster gun had a new member.
