* CruelMercy: Everyone else in South Park, including his own friends, decide not to seek any retribution for all the things that he had done to them. Instead they just cut ties with Cartman, leave him all by himself, and focus on their own happiness. However, with no one bothering to give Cartman the attention he craves, he goes mad from loneliness, growing up to become a homeless alcoholic who's miserable as a result of a complete lack of any human contact. This proves to be such a terrible fate for Cartman that the next time Stan and Kyle see him, they consider Cartman's predicament a FateWorseThanDeath and feel extreme pity for him.

* HappyEnding: The revised timeline is the closest the show may ever get to a proper happy ending. The heroes all grow up to have successful and happy lives, everyone who was previously dead is alive this time, the town is moving towards a positive direction, and the one person who has a terrible ending (Cartman) is the one who is [[LaserGuidedKarma truly deserving of such a fate]].

Surprisingly Realistic Outcome isn't for things that make sense. it's for things happening as they would in real life instead of using common Artistic License.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Ultimately Cartman becoming a lonely homeless man in the new future makes sense given the factors of his personality. His lazy and childish tendencies would not allow him to develop the skills needed to take care of himself when he gets older while his rude, bigoted, and manipulative attitude towards everyone would cause people not to give him a job while also driving the rest of his peers away from him.

** Empathy and {{forgiveness}} are the most powerful forces of the world, or, as the special puts it, "cutting each other some slack". The pandemic couldn't have been prevented, even with time travel, so it's only until everyone forgives each other, understands they are all stressed about the same thing, and learn to trust each other again that the future changes for the better.
** You can't worry about things that are way out of your scope of control. Instead, focus on what you can change, take special care of them, and appreciate what you do have rather than bemoaning what you don't. It'll spare you a lot of stress later on.

** Cartman uses very questionable methods to prevent the future from being fixed (much like his younger, bad self) and he does it for selfish reasons. Yet the selfish reasons are the love of his family and the apparently correct belief that in every other future he will be an unloved jerkass. His HeelFaceTurn is triggered by realizing that his good self is turning into his bad self. He helps to fix the future and as a result his family and his good future self never exist and his new future self is not just bad but also a bum.
