The cartoon is notable for using recognizable [[Music/FryderykChopin Chopin]] pieces, like the "Revolutionary Étude", the "Grande Valse Brillante in E-flat major", and the "Fantaisie-Impromptu".

Jerry is freezing half to death in the scathing temperature of the cold Swiss Alps and ends up rolling straight towards a cheese shop in a snowball, and upon surveying the interior of the shop through the window, he is more than eager to seek shelter inside, unknowingly shutting Tom, who resides in the shop, outside. Tom then spots the mouse inside the shop and tries to get back in and get rid of him.

----
!!Tropes:
* {{Ballet}}: After the wheel of cheese he is in blows up, Jerry comes out unharmed with a thin piece of cheese around his waist, acting as a tutu. Once he sees the tutu, Jerry then decides to break out in some ballet dancing, which Tom finds to be enjoyable. After Jerry's performance, Tom then applauds for the mouse as he stands up, approaches him and slaps Jerry unconscious in between his hands.
* BravingTheBlizzard: The cartoon starts off with Jerry shivering as he wanders through the cold Swiss Alps.
* CartoonCheese: The cheese shop is full of them.
* ChimneyEntry: When Tom sees Jerry in the cheese shop through the window, he tries to get back in by scaling the shop and climbing down the chimney. Unfortunately, an oblivious Jerry has decided to light the fire, causing poor Tom to be subjected to a PainPoweredLeap back out the chimney.
* CirclingBirdies: Stars circle around Jerry when he is knocked unconscious by Tom.
* DancePartEnding: After Jerry is resuscitated by Tom, he changes into an outfit from one of the Swiss dolls he collides into and dances while Tom plays the piano.
* EvilLaugh: Tom lets out one when he manages to knock Jerry unconscious by slapping him in between his hands.
* HammeredIntoTheGround: To get Jerry out of the wheel of cheese that the mouse is making himself at home in, Tom seals the holes in the cheese with corks. One of them gets driven through a hole above Jerry and drives him into the surface of the cheese at waist level.
* HarmlessFreezing: As Jerry is enjoying himself in the cheese shop, Tom, who had just failed to enter the shop via the chimney, manages to open the door with a small hook attached to a string, and we see that he has been frozen with the exception of his tail, which he uses to move himself and pump the bellows against the fireplace to defrost.
* HumanSnowball: While walking through the Alps, Jerry gets hit in the back by some snow flying in the wind, causing him to roll down a hill into a snowball before reaching a village and colliding with a pillar.
* ImpactSilhouette:
** Tom leaves an impression in the snow when the rain gutter that he's stuck in collapses.
** Jerry also leaves one in the snow when Tom throws him outside, and his tail is sticking out of it.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Tom succeeds in getting rid of Jerry and settles back to sleep in his armchair, but his conscience soon gets the better of him when he imagines Jerry dying from hypothermia and ascending to Heaven.
* PunBasedTitle: Of "nobody loves me".
* PrehensileTail: A frozen Tom manages to get back inside the cheese shop and thaw himself against the fireplace with his tail, which is the only body part of him that remains unfrozen.
* PublicDomainSoundtrack: As stated before, the soundtrack of the cartoon consists of notable Chopin musical pieces.
* ShrugTake: Jerry unintentionally causes Tom to land in the lit fireplace, causing the poor cat to fly out of the chimney, tumble into the rain gutter and fall into the snow below. The mouse just shrugs off what happened and goes along his business.
* SnowMeansCold: Jerry is visibly freezing almost to death in the snow, and Tom suffers it too when he steps outside, unaware that Jerry has snuck into the cheese shop.
* WingedSoulFliesOffAtDeath: Prior to saving Jerry's life out of a change of heart, Tom imagines the mouse passing away in this manner.
* WrittenSoundEffect: The explosion of the wheel of cheese is punctuated by a "BLAM!".
