* TransformationConventionsTransformationConventions: The appearance of the alien form matches the person wearing the Omnitrix. Ben's Grey Matter form is an innocuous-looking small humanoid with those big, green eyes of his. Meanwhile, Albedo's supreme Grey Matter form is a cylindrical monstrosity with three red eyes and a wizened old man's face. Albedo is Ben's EvilCounterpart.

** The Plumbers themselves: In the original series, they were a defunct TheMenInBlack-type organization, and all human (and many were ''very'' anti-alien) with [[GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe Xylene]] only being an honorary member. In AF, they're now a still-active interstellar police force, and pretty much all of the known human members married aliens. Thankfully the discrepancy was fixed by WordOfGod explaining there were ''two'' separate groups of Plumbers, the Earth-based MenInBlack of the Original Series and the SpacePolice of the sequels, with the remnants of the Earth group merged into the larger organization at some point before the start of WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce

* PaperThinDisguise: Two issues of the TieInComic have plots predicating on this.
** ''Bad Boy'' has Kevin posing as Ben by wearing his jacket and taping his Plumber badge to his wrist to simulate an Omnitrix. The [=DNAliens=] he’s dealing with are utterly fooled.
** The later issue ''Double Trouble'' has Albedo pose as Ben in front of his parents. No, [[RefugeInAudacity he doesn’t hide any of his differently coloured features, or his personality]]. Ben’s parents are [[OpenMindedParent liberal enough to accept that Ben’s going through changes]].
