* DemotedToExtra: Meowth only makes a cameo at Team Rocket headquarters (humorously wearing a suit) and evidently doesn't join Jessie and James in going after Ash.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Meowth is absent from the trailer for some reason.

* AnimalWrongsGroup: Ash starts one, similar to a more violent version of Team Plasma. As Brock points out, it's ''not'' a good move, noting that it's only a matter of time before they release the wrong Pokemon. Cue Ash's cult releasing ''[[PhysicalGod Mewtwo]]''.

* DeathByAdaptation: Pikachu, Ash's Primeape, Jessie and her Arbok, possibly James, Misty's Psyduck and [[InexplicablyIdenticalIndividuals one of many]] Nurse Joys are all killed in the trailer alone. [[spoiler:Though the ending implies that Pikachu is still alive]].
* FeedItABomb: A creative example--Misty kills Jessie's Arbok when it's trying to strangle her by tossing a Rare Candy into its mouth. The Rare Candy is eaten by a Magikarp it swallowed, allowing it to evolve into [[SeaMonster Gyarados]] inside of Arbok's body.
* HappilyMarried: Subverted. Ash and Misty are implied to be married here, but after Ash starts his AnimalWrongsGroup, Misty leaves him, even taking baby Togepi with her.
* MisanthropeSupreme: Mewtwo refers to humanity as "a cancer that must be eliminated".
* MythologyGag: At one point, James is attacked by a [[MemeticMutation MIGHTY MOLTRES!]]

The End Of Pokemon is a 2019 ShortFilm/FanFilm, directed by Luis Pelayo Junquera and Enol Junquera and produced by Adi Shankar.

The story set in a future where Ash Ketchum succeeded in his goal. He became the very best like no one ever was, but at what cost? When Pikachu passes away, Ash begins to see Pokémon battles as senseless violence, and he sets out on a new mission. It’s time to free them all! This new calling sets him in direct opposition to Giovanni, but that’s nothing new for Ash.

!!This short film contains examples of:
* DarkerAndEdgier: This is ''Adi Shankar'' we're talking about.
* WhatTheHellHero: Ash gets called out multiple times for his actions.
** Misty calls him out for trying the end the violence by closing down the gyms, when the gyms themselves regulate and contain said violence.
** Brock, imprisoned for defending himself, calls out Ash for endangering the world economy.
* WhamLine:
---> Mewtwo: One more thing. [[spoiler: Does Ash Ketchum know that Pikachu is still alive?]]
