Thus they go where the challenge now lies - idol competitions.

* MeaningfulName: Megane, the Techpriestess has giant glasses. Megane means glasses in Japanese.

* ShoutOut: Shadowsun's entire song is a shout out to [[WebAnimation/IfTheEmperorHadATextToSpeechDevice If the Emperor had a Text to Speech device]]. Which makes sense as String Storm has done work for the series.

** Macha's entire personality and song is based on the 40k's fanbase jokes about her.

* BreakingTheFourthWall: Megane directly address the viewers when the third time an Idol does an orbital insertion directly onto the stage.

* StartMyOwn: Shadowsun decides to leave the Tau Empire and be an independent idol when she's told that she can't be an Idol Singer as she's Fire Caste, and that the Farsight Enclaves already have one.

* WeAREStrugglingTogether: Chaos manages to work together just long enough to make an Idol for Chaos Undivided. Then after a success first show, they immediately start squabbling and set out to make their own idols. Which is par for the course.

* {{Meganekko}}: Megane, the Techpriestess idol is one.

* DraggedIntoDrag: What the Dark Eldar get up to these days.

After all Orks run on ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve and an Idol Singer needs to be a woman.]]
* GenreRoulette: Justified in that each song is made by a different faction and idol. So they would have a different genre and style of performance.

** Slania's [[BadGirlSong song]], Give Me!, goes [[ExaggeratedTrope even farther than the above two]] - quickly jumping past any notion of such things as "subtext", "ambiguity" and "euphemisms". It's even on a parody of an adult video website (though it's just a single page that embeds the actual unlisted video). Slaanesh ''is'' the deity of excess, after all...

* PokeThePoodle: What pretty much everyone gets up to these days. The worse the Dark Eldar do is use random humans as Fashion models for practice. And the Tyranid's plans are to charm everyone in the galaxy to give them food.

* SickAndWrong: Downplayed for laughs in ???????'s short. [[spoiler: The Ork Warboss]] is weirded out by the whole thing.

String Storm, a Youtube music creator already known for making music for [[WebAnimation/IfTheEmperorHadATextToSpeechDevice If The Emperor had a text to speech device]], decided to make a song based on a piece of fanart created by Luth of Bolter to Kokoro fame. This quickly spiraled into it's own little series of videos where various factions in the Grim Dark Future of the 41st millennium decided to get in on the Idol Singer business.
