There's a mechanic in the UsefulNotes/PlaystationVita visual novel/dating sim that involves Rito praying at a shrine ''specifically'' to make the occurrence of him "pratfalling" less likely.

Yabuki obviously has a fairly strong attachment to Yami/[[Manga/BlackCat Eve]]'s character, seeing how he's used her in two separate manga so far (three if you count her cameo appearance in Anime/MayoiNekoOverrun) yet he didn't really do a whole lot with her in TLR. But notice how she's featured prominently on the [[http://shrine.lowyat.net/to-love-ru-spinoff-announced/ promotional art]] for the new series, and it's apparently named "To Love Ru: ''Darkness''". Assuming the source is correct, this would be a good way to alter the series' primary love triangle and get rid of Haruna by replacing her with Yami.

Since Series 1 had Haruna and Lala, Series 2 had Yami and Momo, Series 3 could have Mikan and Nana as the female leads.

* Then Haruna will be given either TheNthDoctor or TheOtherDarrin treatment. She's too popular to BrotherChuck or PutOnTheBus, so she will be redesigned, perhaps literally by one of Lala's inventions, to divorce her aspect entirely from the artist's real-life ex-wife, who is said to have caused the situations that may have killed the manga.

Sometimes in their childhood Mikan confessed to Rito or telling other people about her crush and get a reply that she cannot marry her brother. Hence Mikan calling him in a FirstNameBasis to make some [[FridgeBrilliance distance]] [[IncestIsRelative between them]], this behavior continues to her puberty even though she know it's hopeless now ([[OvershadowedByAwesome she think]]).

Their father is 24/7 on his manga, and Mom is pretty much the same in the world of fashion. Not the worst anime parents by any standard (Paging Mr. and Mrs. Hayate, Beyblade's Judy Tate, Mayu's Mom from Elfen Lied among countless others) but still not the most engaged. Then, he gave soccer up to care for a sister who can plainly care for herself--or can she? See, Rito, even in his denseness, knows that the Yuuki clan loses its sense of responsibility and many social skills once adulthood begins to kick in, and he wanted to be there for her as she fell. Evidence : At story's start, while always caring for him, Mikan is head and shoulders above her brother in almost all things, even knowing how he should handle girls better than he, and snickering constantly at his expense. Now she is a raging pile of bro-plex, teased by her friends just as he was, and noting that he really does rather well versus the insanity of life with Lala. Soon, any traces of the uber-fiend Ruthie Camden will vanish from her, and Lala will have her porting starkers into the boys' changing area, with her hair and eyes exploding while she stutters.

* She's been taking mechs apart since she was little, and seems to have an intense interest in inventing, just as people on the spectrum have their own intense interests. Her talent with inventing is such that her intelligence was sought to make military-grade machines. On the flipside, she's failed to recognize how Rito feels about the situations she and her inventions sometimes get him into, although she seems to be improving in this regard. In addition, people with ASD tend to be very kind: Lala has gone out of her way to do nice things for people (one instance being where she changed Rito into his female form for Saruyama to have a date with Riko). My last line of reasoning here is that people with ASD have a delayed development, which I'm positing is the explanation as to why Lala is so childish. Her enjoyment of "Magical Kyouko" is my main example there. In short, I think Lala has the Devilukean equivalent of Asperger's and is on the high-functioning end while not being diagnosed.

* Plus he is in a Badass Normal in a world full of Dragonball Z-level characters, so it would make sense for him to be able to use some ConfusionFu or at the very least DeadlyDodging, otherwise he wouldn't survive the beyond the long.

* It's outright said in-universe that Rito's constant encounters with Yami ending in her trying to injure him heightened his reactions and agility. He's so good a dodging because he's used to one of the ''greatest assassins in the universe'' regularly trying to hurt him.

** Chapter 66 has Mikado confirm that it IS, in fact, an alien disease, and incurable, even if Mikado ''wants'' to cure it.

** [[ArtisticLicenseHistory That's not correct.]] While it is true that coca-cola once had cocaine as an ingredient, that ended in the late 60s or early 70s when the dangers of cocaine use were discovered. It is far more likely that Celine gets drunk from the carbonation, ie the carbon-dioxide in cola since she's a plant-based alien, and plants inhale Carbon Dioxide and exhale oxygen. People who are put into an environment with an oxygen ratio that's too high have been known to act intoxicated as well.

* Since we don't see any other type of soda that she gets drunk on, I would have to assume that Celine's release of pollen when she drinks cola is a result of the coca wine made from the coca leaf. The result of another product of the coca leaf, cocaine, would cause the effects to magnify to the point that it would basically make a large explosion of pollen, and would probably have a permanent effect on the brain.

* When Yami sees Rito's "physics breaking accidents" she's very stoic about it, even after Lala teleported him and Tearju in front of her, naked, or nearly so, and Tearju acted like Rito was going to make sexual advances. Yami just swatted Rito aside, and told him to just go find some clothes, but when Tearju fell down some stairs and landed on Rito, and Yami saw her enjoying the afterglow, she became more murderous than just about any other time in the series. (The only time she's been angrier is when Oshizu's psychic powers went amok and she got thrown naked onto Rito's face, and Rito had to be rescued by Momo because he had fainted in sheer terror.)

* It apparently involves some kind of microscopic organism because it's now ''contagious.'' Girls affected to date include Mikan, Yui, and ''Yami.'' What's worse is that it seems to be of alien origin because he has no record of doing this prior to having physical contact with Lala.
