History WMG / Sea3on

Sonic has had his ups and downs before, and we've seen him as a HurtingHero before. But I've noticed a pattern of insecurity that occasionally flares up now and then.

So far, we’ve only seen him use his crystalization & mind control spells even though he is clearly capable of a lot more even outside the void (& even then, he could find a way to temporarily boost his magical powers) as his [[BalefulPolymorph transformations]] on Robotnik in his debut episode show. So as the comic goes on, we’ll see more of his magical powers on display & could allow for a lot of creative situations. For example, there could be one instance where Naugus uses his magic to turn Sonic into a snail or tortoise, something slow that’ll make defeating him easier. Or perhaps he could use a “devolution spell” on Sonic & Co to turn them into ferals (I.E. Sonic gets turned into an actual hedgehog, Sally into an actual squirrel etc) & they have to find a way to turn back into their normal selves while adjusting to their newfound feral bodies and animal instincts (Tails & Antoine in particular will have to desperately resist the urge to eat their comrades & each other). Another possible situation being Naugus using a spell that de-ages the group to their five-year old selves (with Tails being turned into an outright baby or for some reason, being aged up into an adult), something that would allow for a lot of comedy if the FF’s maturity is also reversed to match their five-year old bodies (& especially if Tails is turned into a baby)

It would certainly be a fun & creative idea as to how these two universes & their inhabitants would interact with each other & Sea3on is the best opportunity for it to happen.

* Following on from this, Knux may take Tails to his sanctuary on Angel Island (which would be a much bigger floating island than the timestone one, hell, it'd probably be more of a floating ''continent'') & train him in some form of ancient echidna marital art so he can better defend himself and show him the reason why it's dangerous for anyone to use the chaos emeralds, nevermind the heroes or villains. There may even be one point in his training in which he goes into some mystical cave or temple to confront his worst fears al'a Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack (this may also be an opportunity to show Tails's origins, how he was abandoned by his parents & how he came into the care of the freedom fighters) Also, while on said island, he'll meet a familiar face which brings me to my next point.

It would certainly be a fun & creative idea as to how these two universes & their inhabitants would interact with each other & Sea3on is the best opportunity for it to happen.

The subplot could be that Sally's just discovered that Tails has ran away, which triggers her AdultFear. Sussing out that her charge has likely left to find a Chaos Emerald, she decides to kill two birds with one stone and get her team to look for two objectives simultaneously. Meanwhile, Sonic is [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness panicking]] because he remembers what happened to Tails when he went up against Naugus and abandons the hunt to find him before the bad guys do.

* The second ([[DarkerandEdgier and perhaps much more darker, tragic & even heartbreaking]]) possibility is that the freedom fighters reunite with her in Vesuvio during their hunt for the Chaos Emeralds (Vesuvio naturally being the home of the fire emerald). They track the emerald’s energies to Vesuvio where they are greeted first by two dragon children who save the group from a couple of hover swats. The children’s father then shows up and is at first unsure about this group of mobians. However, when they mention Dulcy, the three reveal they know her and offer to take the FF to Vesuvio to meet her. When they arrive in the ancient city, they are met by a large crowd of Vesuvio‘s draconian inhabitants who have mixed reactions to these strange outsiders. Among the crowd are the mother dragon & her baby from Season 2, the mother of the two children and Dulcy herself who the freedom fighters are overjoyed to see again, Tails especially if he's tagging along. However, Dulcy herself seems a little reluctant to say hello, which somewhat confuses the FF. They also notice she has a black eye and a broken arm which she claims happened during one of her crash landings. They are then met by a group of elder dragons including Glint who question the FF as to who they are. The FF explain they are looking for a chaos emerald somwhere in the area and tracked its energies to Vesuvio. They also inform the dragons that Snively has taken over his uncle's empire and now has the powerful wizard Naugus on his side and that two are seeking the emeralds to use their power, thus why they are also seeking the emeralds to stop them. Unfortunately, only Glint, the mother dragon, the two parent dragons & their children are the only ones willing to believe them. [[UntrustingCommunity Most of the elders and a sizable number of the Vesuvioian dragons are distrustful of the freedom fighters]] (believing them to be treasure hunters or worse, in the employ of their rival race the Gryphons, who want to steal their chaos emerald which is presumably a sacred stone to them called the pyrostone or something like that), the most vocal being Dulcy's new mate [[https://sonic.fandom.com/wiki/Zan/ Zan]] (or an expy), one of the only two protector dragons in Vesuvio (the other obviously being Dulcy herself) & highly respected & who like his archie counterpart, is extremely xenophobic towards non-dragons. To the FF's surprise, Dulcy actually somewhat agrees with Zan's sentiments & tells her friends they should probably go. Fortunately, Glint & the FF's few draconian allies manage to convince the rest of the elders to let the group stay albeit under the care of the two parent dragons seeing as how the father dragon is the one who brought them to the city. Later on, Sonic and/or Tails may decide to swing by Dulcy's place in the protector-dragon quarters of the city (of which Dulcy and Zan are currently the only inhabitants) to pay her a visit and witness Zan giving Dulcy a nasty verbal berating over her suggesting she go visit her friends, even looking about ready to hit her (he fortunately doesn't when she concedes). Sonic and/or Tails go and tell the rest of group plus their new dragon friends what they've just witnessed and are obviously appalled and disgusted. Said dragon friends then reveal that they've suspected Zan's abusive behavior for a while, with Dulcy not having been herself & her visitations to them becoming less frequent after her union with Zan (they also suspect, to the shock & horror of the FF, that her broken arm & black eye weren’t an accident as she claims) but haven't been able to prove it due to her living in the protector quarters (& being one of the only two inhabitants of it sides Zan) separate from the rest of the city, her not saying anything about it (obviously being too afraid of and subservient to Zan to speak out against him) and [[VillainwithGoodPublicity Zan himself commanding great respect from the citzens of Vesuvio and even a majority of the elders]] due to not only being one of the only two protector dragons currently fit to fight, but also being extremely powerful & skilled. So the FF work to convince the dragons of Vesuvio that they're not their enemy, give Dulcy the strength & courage she needs to stand up to her absuer and out Zan's abusive nature to the rest of the Vesuvioian dragons. Zan, in turn, tries to convince everyone that the FF are treasure hunters and/or agents of the Gryphons trying to steal the pyrostone from them and may even try to turn Dulcy against her former friends, an easy feat considering he has her in his power. Even if this storyline doesn't redeem Dulcy, if done right, [[AlasPoorScrappy it would almost certainly make her haters feel sorry for her]].

* The Nasty Hyenas from “Fed Up With Antoine”:They could return wanting revenge on the freedom fighters by planning to attack Knothole. Tails stumbles upon them & tries to warn the freedom fighters, but is captured and held hostage by them. Tails them spends most of the story BoundandGagged at the Nasty Hyenas camp. Fortunately, this allows him to listen in on their plan of attack. He eventually manages to escape them and his Intel becomes instrumental in stopping them.

* The first one being that Naugus, sick & tired of Snively's failures, decides to bring Robotnik back from the void to help them. However, something goes awry with the summoning spell (perhaps Snively discovers what he’s doing & tries to stop it, his interference causing the spell to go wrong) and he ends up bringing Robotnik from the AOSTH universe to their world along with Scratch, Grounder & Coconuts who were all in the middle of retreating from their latest defeat at the hands of their version of Sonic in the egg-o-matic hovercraft. Obviously furious at being abducted, AOSTH Robotnik uses some sort of wacky gadget to easily defeat Naugus (which will presumably be called his “super wizard washer-upper” or something like that) & send him back to the void while dethroning Snively and forcing him to obey his command. He then learns about how his counterpart already took over his Mobius years ago & obviously fuming with jealousy at the other robotnik's success (which does level out when he learns that Sonic is still a problem). So AOSTH Robotnik decides to take over his counterpart's empire and vows to finish what Satam Robotnik started and destroy Sonic & his freedom fighters and then use his newfound empire's resources to return to his own world & take over that as well, ruling two mobiuses with an iron-fist. Meanwhile, the freedom fighters, upon hearing rumors that Robotnik has returned, decide to scope out Robotropolis to see if said rumors are true. When they arrive, the first unusual thing they notice is a chili-dog stand with a flashing neon sign that says "free chili-dogs". At first, the group are perplexed as to it's presence, knowing it's an obvious trap, but wondering why Robotnik is using such a ridiculous & obvious way of trapping them. Sonic, however, brushes it off as "buttnik getting really desperate to stop him" and decides to spring the trap anyway just for fun, the trap being the robot vendor handing Sonic a stick of dynamite poorly disguised as a chili-dog which he proceeds to throw back at the vendor, destroying the whole stand. As they proceed through the city, Sonic & Co encounter more wacky & bizarre traps (some so pathetically lame that the FF laughably evade them with ease & others surprisingly catching them off-guard with their weirdness) such as giant mousetraps & bear traps set in painfully obvious places, plunger-bazookas, flying chatter-teeth & missiles with pitbull heads. Eventually, Sonic will run into the S.S.S.S.S Squad themselves & laugh hard at their cartoony design, stupidity and ridiculous name. Even the rest of the FF will share in a chuckle at these new goofy-looking robots of robotnik, obviously making the S.S.S.S.S Squad mad and attacking them. While they may be caught off-guard by Grounder's ability to turn his drills into various weapons & tools, they'll still easily defeat the S.S.S.S.S Squad and proceed onward. As they sneak into Robotropolis's main citadel, the gang wonder just what the hell is going on and why Robotnik is using all these insane gadgets & robots. They also wonder why they haven’t run into Naugus yet. Sonic assumes Robotnik must have simply gone completely bonkers from the defeat of Doomsday & subsequent imprisonment in the void. All of a sudden, the group find themselves surrounded by an army of robots, the S.S.S.S.S Squad among them. It is then that AOSTH Robotnik reveals himself to the freedom fighters. The FF are at first stunned & at a loss for words upon seeing this goofier-looking version of their feared & hated archnemesis (AOSTH Robotnik assumes they’re frozen with fear). The silence is finally broken when Sonic starts to giggle. Soon the others join in and the giggles turn to chuckles until eventually, the whole group breaks out in hysterical laughter, remarking how stupid and goofy-looking Robotnik is now, all of which makes AOSTH Robotnik angry to the point where his own head literally explodes and regrows before growing big (as well as sprouting razor-sharp teeth) as he shouts “NO ONE LAUGHS AT DR RRROBOTNIK AND GETS AWAY WITH IT”, all of which majorally freaks out the FF and Snively. AOSTH Robotnik then orders the robot army to kill them, but Sonic whips out a power ring and destroys the whole army and sends AOSTH Robotnik flying & crashing while he screams “I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!”. Sonic & co retreat back to HQ (Knothole or Angel Island), still confused & freaked out by what they’ve just witnessed and wondering how and why Robotnik has changed. Uncle Chuck then correctly deduces that this Robotnik is in fact an alternate dimensional counterpart, which is confirmed when Sonic and Sally go on another mission to Robotropolis and Sal manages to use NICOLE to scan AOSTH Robotnik while he & Sonic are fighting. So Sonic and the rest of the freedom fighters spend the rest of the story trying to find a way to send AOSTH Robotnik (whom they christen “Goofnik”) back to his own dimension while having to deal with his wacky schemes. Such schemes include trying to destroy the great forest with a giant lawnmower (obviously dubbed "Mower-Zilla") to uncover Knothole (And plans to turn it into a mega shopping mall), rayguns that turn Sonic & Co into babies, make them stupid & do other weird stuff, the Pseudo-Sonic robot upgraded with artificial intelligence, a laughter-destroyer robot to rid Mobius of all laughter when the FF continue to make fun of him, a vacuum-cleaner mobile with a roboticiscer at the end of it, a candy magnet to steal all candy on Satam Mobius & the numerous trapping attempts of the S.S.S.S.S Squad (again with some failing miserably, in part due to AOSTH Robot ink & the S.S.S.S.S Squad's general bumbling incompetence and due to the Satam universe [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome not running on the same cartoon logic of the aosth universe]], a prime example being "Goofnik" attempting to infiltrate the FF by using Pseudo-Sonic to impersonate the real Sonic & then later [[PaperThinDisguise by poorly disguising himself as Rotor]], the FF immediately seeing through both, & others being surprisingly effective just because of how weird, strange & unexpected they are and the FF being totally unprepared for them. In particular, one involving tricking Sonic into eating a poisoned chili-dog which almost succeeds in killing him, his life only being saved by either a power ring or chaos emerald). At first, the FF don't take AOSTH Robotnik & his robotic cohorts very seriously due to their goofy, bumbling incompetence with Sonic jokingly suggesting they keep them around for a laugh. Not helping matters is that this Robotnik isn't very keen on robotiscing and seems to prefer imprisoning or simply killing his foes (that being said, he does try and do so occasionally as mentioned above, with the Robot Transmogrifier Ray and a vaccum-cleaner-robotiscier-mobile as well as trapping Antoine in one and threatening to "turn him into a french toaster" if Sonic doesn't surrender. Scratch & Grounder also try and lure Sonic & Tails into one with a trail of chili-dog which will fail miserably). However, they eventually learn that, for all his bumbling goofiness, AOSTH Robotnik [[NotSoHarmlessVillain can actually be a dangerous threat in his own right]] helped by the fact that, as mentioned above, the FF are totally suprised by & unprepared for his more zany schemes and gadgets. AOSTH Robotnik will naturally grow to hate Satam Sonic as much as the one he knows, perhaps even a little moreso considering Satam Sonic is more snarky than his AOSTH counterpart (and uses the insults "Robuttnik" & "buttnik" more often which massivley sets off AOSTH Robotnik) and will no doubt constantly mock his goofy appearance & bumbling manchildish behavior. Meanwhile, Snively is going through absolute hell having to deal not only with being a lackey again, but one to what he considers an even worse boss than his uncle Julian, having to put up with AOSTH Robotnik's odd, eccentric, erratic & manchildish behaviour and temper and general incompetence, plus being used as a test subject for his various wacky gadgets. He may even at one point be demoted to sanitation duty (his only consolation being that he finds a way to covertly insult AOSTH Robotnik by disguising said insults as compliments e.g. adding 'ness' on the end of most of them). Thus, he conspires to get Naugus back, believing he's the only one who can get rid of this insufferable goofball. He also strikes up a surprise friendship with Coconuts, bonding over the fact that both are Buttmonkeys to their respective Robotniks. As for Naugus, after his embarrassing defeat at the hands of AOSTH Robotnik, he attempts to escape the void again but ends up in the AOSTH universe. Finding his magic is even weaker in this dimension (& finding the colors nauseating), Naugus tries to find a way to get back to the satam universe using whatever resources he can find on this strange new world. Fortunately for him, he happens upon the AOSTH Robotnik's fortress and although his magic is not as powerful as in his home dimension, he does manage to summon enough of it to temporarily shapeshift himself into AOSTH Robotnik & thus infiltrate the fortress unhindered. He then searches around the fortress's laboratory to find anything useful, only to find that AOSTH Robotnik has had most of his stuff moved to his new base on Satam Mobius, including most of the equipment in the lab, leaving it almost empty, much to Naugus's frustration. Meanwhile outside, AOSTH Sonic & Tails plan to play an April Fools day prank on Robotnik by disguising themselves as lottery presenters and giving him a fake cheque for ten thousand gizilion mobiums. When they manage to get to the front door, no one answers them however, not Robotnik, not Scratch, not Grounder, not even Coconuts. It's then that Sonic starts to suspect something's not quite right and he & Tails instead infiltrate the fortress via it's sewers. When they enter the fortress's laboratory, they are shocked and surprised not only to find empty, but to find a strange, troll-like creature their instead. Surprised by their appearance and not immediately realizing these are not the same Sonic & Tails he knows, Naugus is immediately hostile to the duo and attacks them. While Naugus does still have some considerable magical power (he also at one point catches Tails and tries to hold him hostage), because of his weakened state, AOSTH Sonic & Tails still manage to outwit and escape him. After they reach what they believe to be a safe distance, Sonic & Tails ponder who or what the strange creature they encountered was, why it was in Robotnik's fortress and if it's connected to his & his henchmen's disappearance. The two decide to look for answers first by looking in all of Mobius's public libraries and when that fails, going to see Professor Von Schlemmer & Professor Caninestein, who ask the duo to snap some photos of the strange creature to help them study it. Meanwhile, Naugus realizes that the world he's on is an alternate dimension Mobius and that the Sonic & Tails he encountered were in turn alternate dimensional counterparts to the ones he knows back on Satam Mobius. And since these are alternate dimensional counterparts, they have no knowledge of who he is, something he decides to use to his advantage. While AOSTH Sonic & Tails are out looking for Naugus, the wizard appears before them, [[WoundedGazelleGambit pretending to be on death's door]], begging the duo to help him. He then tells them that he's the ruler of another world who was dethroned and exiled by Robotnik and that the reason he attacked Sonic was because he thought the hedgehog was one of Robotnik's minions. Sonic is reluctant to believe Naugus's story and help him at first, but Tails convinces him to do so, reminding the hedgehog about [[AnAesop not judging books by their covers]]. So the two bring Naugus to Von Schlemmer & Caninestein who agree to help Naugus get back to his home dimension, conducting a series of strange tests on him to study his molecules so as to help build a machine that'll locate his dimension and create a portal there. Sonic & Tails go out and collect some specialized equipment for the machine, even getting some unexpected help from Wes Weasely (though naturally he's only in it for the cash). They eventually finish the machine and activate it, Naugus eager to escape this crazy dimension. Unfortunately, there is a malfunction, which causes Naugus, AOSTH Sonic & Tails and Weasely to be forcefully sucked into the dimensional portal, sending Naugus back to the void again and AOSTH Sonic & Tails to the Satam universe (Weasely is stuck floating in the dimensional vortex for the time being). The two then land in Robotropolis and are shocked and disgusted by the polluted & dismal environment, assuming it's the doing of their Robotnik (though AOSTH Sonic notes that it looks bad even for Robotnik).

When they arrive and order their food, 2 pairs of metallic clamps (made of an incredibly strong metal) suddenly come out from under the stools and restrain the duo. The vendors then reveal themselves to be non other than the S.S.S.S.S Squad (Scratch, Grounder & even Coconuts) who, thinking it’s their Sonic & Tails, are overjoyed at having finally captured their quarry in a trap even they can’t escape from. Like in the above scenario, Sonic (and Tails) naturally mocks their goofy design and ridiculous name which in turn makes them rather annoyed. Grounder also wonders why Sonic & Tails don’t recognise them and Coconuts notices the subtle differences between them and the AOSTH Sonic & Tails. In particular, one involving tricking Sonic into eating a poisoned chili-dog which almost succeeds in killing him, his life only being saved by either a power ring or chaos emerald). At first, the FF don't take AOSTH Robotnik & his robotic cohorts very seriously due to their goofy, bumbling incompetence with Sonic jokingly suggesting they keep them around for a laugh. Not helping matters is that this Robotnik isn't very keen on robotiscing and seems to prefer imprisoning or simply killing his foes (that being said, he does try and do so occasionally as mentioned above, with the Robot Transmogrifier Ray and a vaccum-cleaner-robotiscier-mobile as well as trapping Antoine in one and threatening to "turn him into a french toaster" if Sonic doesn't surrender. Scratch & Grounder also try and lure Sonic & Tails into one with a trail of chili-dog which will fail miserably). Meanwhile, Snively is going through absolute hell having to deal not only with being a lackey again, but one to what he considers an even worse boss than his uncle Julian, having to put up with AOSTH Robotnik's odd, eccentric, erratic & manchildish behaviour and temper and general incompetence, plus being used as a test subject for his various wacky gadgets. He may even at one point be demoted to sanitation duty (his only consolation being that he finds a way to covertly insult AOSTH Robotnik by disguising said insults as compliments e.g. adding 'ness' on the end of most of them). Thus, he conspires to get Naugus back, believing he's the only one who can get rid of this insufferable goofball. He also strikes up a surprise friendship with Coconuts, bonding over the fact that both are Buttmonkeys to their respective Robotniks. As for Naugus, after his embarrassing defeat at the hands of AOSTH Robotnik, he attempts to escape the void again but ends up in the AOSTH universe. Finding his magic is even weaker in this dimension (& finding the colors nauseating), Naugus tries to find a way to get back to the satam universe using whatever resources he can find on this strange new world. Fortunately for him, he happens upon the AOSTH Robotnik's fortress and although his magic is not as powerful as in his home dimension, he does manage to summon enough of it to temporarily shapeshift himself into AOSTH Robotnik & thus infiltrate the fortress unhindered. He then searches around the fortress's laboratory to find anything useful, only to find that AOSTH Robotnik has had most of his stuff moved to his new base on Satam Mobius, including most of the equipment in the lab, leaving it almost empty, much to Naugus's frustration. Meanwhile outside, AOSTH Sonic & Tails plan to play an April Fools day prank on Robotnik by disguising themselves as lottery presenters and giving him a fake cheque for ten thousand gizilion mobiums. When they manage to get to the front door, no one answers them however, not Robotnik, not Scratch, not Grounder, not even Coconuts. It's then that Sonic starts to suspect something's not quite right and he & Tails instead infiltrate the fortress via it's sewers. When they enter the fortress's laboratory, they are shocked and surprised not only to find empty, but to find a strange, troll-like creature their instead. Surprised by their appearance and not immediately realizing these are not the same Sonic & Tails he knows, Naugus is immediately hostile to the duo and attacks them. While Naugus does still have some considerable magical power (he also at one point catches Tails and tries to hold him hostage), because of his weakened state, AOSTH Sonic & Tails still manage to outwit and escape him. After they reach what they believe to be a safe distance, Sonic & Tails ponder who or what the strange creature they encountered was, why it was in Robotnik's fortress and if it's connected to his & his henchmen's disappearance. The two decide to look for answers first by looking in all of Mobius's public libraries and when that fails, going to see Professor Von Schlemmer & Professor Caninestein, who ask the duo to snap some photos of the strange creature to help them study it. Meanwhile, Naugus realizes that the world he's on is an alternate dimension Mobius and that the Sonic & Tails he encountered were in turn alternate dimensional counterparts to the ones he knows back on Satam Mobius. And since these are alternate dimensional counterparts, they have no knowledge of who he is, something he decides to use to his advantage. While AOSTH Sonic & Tails are out looking for Naugus, the wizard appears before them, [[WoundedGazelleGambit pretending to be on death's door]], begging the duo to help him. He then tells them that he's the ruler of another world who was dethroned and exiled by Robotnik and that the reason he attacked Sonic was because he thought the hedgehog was one of Robotnik's minions. Sonic is reluctant to believe Naugus's story and help him at first, but Tails convinces him to do so, reminding the hedgehog about [[AnAesop not judging books by their covers]]. So the two bring Naugus to Von Schlemmer & Caninestein who agree to help Naugus get back to his home dimension, conducting a series of strange tests on him to study his molecules so as to help build a machine that'll locate his dimension and create a portal there. Sonic & Tails go out and collect some specialized equipment for the machine, even getting some unexpected help from Wes Weasely (though naturally he's only in it for the cash). They eventually finish the machine and activate it, Naugus eager to escape this crazy dimension. Unfortunately, there is a malfunction, which causes Naugus, AOSTH Sonic & Tails and Weasely to be forcefully sucked into the dimensional portal, sending Naugus back to the void again and AOSTH Sonic & Tails to the Satam universe (Weasely is stuck floating in the dimensional vortex for the time being). The two then land in Robotropolis and are shocked and disgusted by the polluted & dismal environment, assuming it's the doing of their Robotnik (though AOSTH Sonic notes that it looks bad even for Robotnik).

* Ro-Becca from, well, “Ro-Becca”:Being that the short “Hare-Care” has introduced Bunnie’s Salon to the SatAM universe, Rotor might reprogram her to be Bunnie’s assistant to help her out round and look after the place while Bunnie’s away on missions.

He then learns about how his counterpart already took over his Mobius years ago & obviously fuming with jealousy at the other robotnik's success (which does level out when he learns that Sonic is still a problem). So AOSTH Robotnik decides to take over his counterpart's empire and vows to finish what Satam Robotnik started and destroy Sonic & his freedom fighters and then use his newfound empire's resources to return to his own world & take over that as well, ruling two mobiuses with an iron-fist. Meanwhile, the freedom fighters, upon hearing rumors that Robotnik has returned, decide to scope out Robotropolis to see if said rumors are true. When they arrive, the first unusual thing they notice is a chili-dog stand with a flashing neon sign that says "free chili-dogs". At first, the group are perplexed as to it's presence, knowing it's an obvious trap, but wondering why Robotnik is using such a ridiculous & obvious way of trapping them. Sonic, however, brushes it off as "buttnik getting really desperate to stop him" and decides to spring the trap anyway just for fun, the trap being the robot vendor handing Sonic a stick of dynamite poorly disguised as a chili-dog which he proceeds to throw back at the vendor, destroying the whole stand. As they proceed through the city, Sonic & Co encounter more wacky & bizarre traps (some so pathetically lame that the FF laughably evade them with ease & others surprisingly catching them off-guard with their weirdness) such as giant mousetraps & bear traps set in painfully obvious places, plunger-bazookas, flying chatter-teeth & missiles with pitbull heads. Eventually, Sonic will run into the S.S.S.S.S Squad themselves & laugh hard at their cartoony design, stupidity and ridiculous name. Even the rest of the FF will share in a chuckle at these new goofy-looking robots of robotnik, obviously making the S.S.S.S.S Squad mad and attacking them. While they may be caught off-guard by Grounder's ability to turn his drills into various weapons & tools, they'll still easily defeat the S.S.S.S.S Squad and proceed onward. As they sneak into Robotropolis's main citadel, the gang wonder just what the hell is going on and why Robotnik is using all these insane gadgets & robots. They also wonder why they haven’t run into Naugus yet. Sonic assumes Robotnik must have simply gone completely bonkers from the defeat of Doomsday & subsequent imprisonment in the void. All of a sudden, the group find themselves surrounded by an army of robots, the S.S.S.S.S Squad among them. It is then that AOSTH Robotnik reveals himself to the freedom fighters. The FF are at first stunned & at a loss for words upon seeing this goofier-looking version of their feared & hated archnemesis (AOSTH Robotnik assumes they’re frozen with fear). The silence is finally broken when Sonic starts to giggle. Soon the others join in and the giggles turn to chuckles until eventually, the whole group breaks out in hysterical laughter, remarking how stupid and goofy-looking Robotnik is now, all of which makes AOSTH Robotnik angry to the point where his own head literally explodes and regrows before growing big (as well as sprouting razor-sharp teeth) as he shouts “NO ONE LAUGHS AT DR RRROBOTNIK AND GETS AWAY WITH IT”, all of which majorally freaks out the FF and Snively. AOSTH Robotnik then orders the robot army to kill them, but Sonic whips out a power ring and destroys the whole army and sends AOSTH Robotnik flying & crashing while he screams “I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!”. Sonic & co retreat back to HQ (Knothole or Angel Island), still confused & freaked out by what they’ve just witnessed and wondering how and why Robotnik has changed. Uncle Chuck then correctly deduces that this Robotnik is in fact an alternate dimensional counterpart, which is confirmed when Sonic and Sally go on another mission to Robotropolis and Sal manages to use NICOLE to scan AOSTH Robotnik while he & Sonic are fighting. So Sonic and the rest of the freedom fighters spend the rest of the story trying to find a way to send AOSTH Robotnik (whom they christen “Goofnik”) back to his own dimension while having to deal with his wacky schemes. AOSTH Robotnik also reveals to the FF that his world does in fact have it's own Princess Sally (the one from [[WesternAnimation/SonicChristmasBlast Christmas Blast]]) and that like his counterpart, he too attempted a coup on her father's kingdom which unlike his counterpart, ended in failure due to AOSTH Sonic's interference. He also reveals, to the shock & horror of the FF, that he has his own handheld and alarmingly efficient version of the roboticiser in the form of the Robot Transmogrifier Ray (though they’re somewhat relieved when they see that this form of robotiscisation is easily reversible and they soon go back to making fun of him when they realise that even with something as powerful & dangerous as a roboticiser raygun, he still hasn’t conquered his own Mobius). It's here that he shows them how petty & childish he is (spelling the word "crush" with a K and deciding that everyone on Mobius will spell it that way from now on) and they'll naturally mock him for it, Sally especially, who gets into an ArgumentofContradictions with AOSTH Robotnik which she wins rather effortlessly, obviously making AOSTH Robotnik mad. AOSTH Robotnik also reveals to the FF that his world does in fact have it's own Princess Sally (the one from [[WesternAnimation/SonicChristmasBlast Christmas Blast]]) and that like his counterpart, he too attempted a coup on her father's kingdom which unlike his counterpart, ended in failure due to AOSTH Sonic's interference. He also reveals, to the shock & horror of the FF, that he has his own handheld and alarmingly efficient version of the roboticiser in the form of the Robot Transmogrifier Ray (though they’re somewhat relieved when they see that this form of robotiscisation is easily reversible and they soon go back to making fun of him when they realise that even with something as powerful & dangerous as a roboticiser raygun, he still hasn’t conquered his own Mobius). Deciding he's had enough playing around, AOSTH Robotnik attempts to force the group to spill the location of their base. He first tries to use a "Hypno-Matic" (a tv screen on wheels projecting a classic hypno swirl) to hypnotize the FF which fails miserably. He then uses a robot armed with goose feathers to TickleTorture the group into giving up Knothole/Angel Island's location, fortunately being saved by Sonic who also manages to steal the Robot Transmogrifier Ray off of him (they later on try to use it to reverse Bunnie's roboticsiation which not only fails due to it being a different form of roboticsiation, but also causes it to run out of power). At first, the FF don't take AOSTH Robotnik & his robotic cohorts very seriously due to their goofy, bumbling incompetence with Sonic jokingly suggesting they keep them around for a laugh. Meanwhile, Snively is going through absolute hell having to deal not only with being a lackey again, but one to what he considers an even worse boss than his uncle Julian, having to put up with AOSTH Robotnik's odd, eccentric, erratic & manchildish behaviour and temper and general incompetence, plus being used as a test subject for his various wacky gadgets. He may even at one point be demoted to sanitation duty (his only consolation being that he finds a way to covertly insult AOSTH Robotnik by disguising said insults as compliments e.g. adding 'ness' on the end of most of them). Thus, he conspires to get Naugus back, believing he's the only one who can get rid of this insufferable goofball. He also strikes up a surprise friendship with Coconuts, bonding over the fact that both are Buttmonkeys to their respective Robotniks. As for Naugus, after his embarrassing defeat at the hands of AOSTH Robotnik, he attempts to escape the void again but ends up in the AOSTH universe. Finding his magic is even weaker in this dimension (& finding the colors nauseating), Naugus tries to find a way to get back to the satam universe using whatever resources he can find on this strange new world. Fortunately for him, he happens upon the AOSTH Robotnik's fortress and although his magic is not as powerful as in his home dimension, he does manage to summon enough of it to temporarily shapeshift himself into AOSTH Robotnik & thus infiltrate the fortress unhindered. He then searches around the fortress's laboratory to find anything useful, only to find that AOSTH Robotnik has had most of his stuff moved to his new base on Satam Mobius, including most of the equipment in the lab, leaving it almost empty, much to Naugus's frustration. Meanwhile outside, AOSTH Sonic & Tails plan to play an April Fools day prank on Robotnik by disguising themselves as lottery presenters and giving him a fake cheque for ten thousand gizilion mobiums. When they manage to get to the front door, no one answers them however, not Robotnik, not Scratch, not Grounder, not even Coconuts. It's then that Sonic starts to suspect something's not quite right and he & Tails instead infiltrate the fortress via it's sewers. When they enter the fortress's laboratory, they are shocked and surprised not only to find empty, but to find a strange, troll-like creature their instead. Surprised by their appearance and not immediately realizing these are not the same Sonic & Tails he knows, Naugus is immediately hostile to the duo and attacks them. While Naugus does still have some considerable magical power (he also at one point catches Tails and tries to hold him hostage), because of his weakened state, AOSTH Sonic & Tails still manage to outwit and escape him. After they reach what they believe to be a safe distance, Sonic & Tails ponder who or what the strange creature they encountered was, why it was in Robotnik's fortress and if it's connected to his & his henchmen's disappearance. The two decide to look for answers first by looking in all of Mobius's public libraries and when that fails, going to see Professor Von Schlemmer & Professor Caninestein, who ask the duo to snap some photos of the strange creature to help them study it. Meanwhile, Naugus realizes that the world he's on is an alternate dimension Mobius and that the Sonic & Tails he encountered were in turn alternate dimensional counterparts to the ones he knows back on Satam Mobius. And since these are alternate dimensional counterparts, they have no knowledge of who he is, something he decides to use to his advantage. While AOSTH Sonic & Tails are out looking for Naugus, the wizard appears before them, [[WoundedGazelleGambit pretending to be on death's door]], begging the duo to help him. He then tells them that he's the ruler of another world who was dethroned and exiled by Robotnik and that the reason he attacked Sonic was because he thought the hedgehog was one of Robotnik's minions. Sonic is reluctant to believe Naugus's story and help him at first, but Tails convinces him to do so, reminding the hedgehog about [[AnAesop not judging books by their covers]]. So the two bring Naugus to Von Schlemmer & Caninestein who agree to help Naugus get back to his home dimension, conducting a series of strange tests on him to study his molecules so as to help build a machine that'll locate his dimension and create a portal there. Sonic & Tails go out and collect some specialized equipment for the machine, even getting some unexpected help from Wes Weasely (though naturally he's only in it for the cash). They eventually finish the machine and activate it, Naugus eager to escape this crazy dimension. Unfortunately, there is a malfunction, which causes Naugus, AOSTH Sonic & Tails and Weasely to be forcefully sucked into the dimensional portal, sending Naugus back to the void again and AOSTH Sonic & Tails to the Satam universe (Weasely is stuck floating in the dimensional vortex for the time being). The two then land in Robotropolis and are shocked and disgusted by the polluted & dismal environment, assuming it's the doing of their Robotnik (though AOSTH Sonic notes that it looks bad even for Robotnik).

So AOSTH Robotnik decides to take over his counterpart's empire and vows to finish what Satam Robotnik started and destroy Sonic & his freedom fighters and then use his newfound empire's resources to return to his own world & take over that as well, ruling two mobiuses with an iron-fist. Meanwhile, the freedom fighters, upon hearing rumors that Robotnik has returned, decide to scope out Robotropolis to see if said rumors are true. When they arrive, the first unusual thing they notice is a chili-dog stand with a flashing neon sign that says "free chili-dogs". At first, the group are perplexed as to it's presence, knowing it's an obvious trap, but wondering why Robotnik is using such a ridiculous & obvious way of trapping them. Sonic, however, brushes it off as "buttnik getting really desperate to stop him" and decides to spring the trap anyway just for fun, the trap being the robot vendor handing Sonic a stick of dynamite poorly disguised as a chili-dog which he proceeds to throw back at the vendor, destroying the whole stand. As they proceed through the city, Sonic & Co encounter more wacky & bizarre traps (some so pathetically lame that the FF laughably evade them with ease & others surprisingly catching them off-guard with their weirdness) such as giant mousetraps & bear traps set in painfully obvious places, plunger-bazookas, flying chatter-teeth & missiles with pitbull heads. Eventually, Sonic will run into the S.S.S.S.S Squad themselves & laugh hard at their cartoony design, stupidity and ridiculous name. Even the rest of the FF will share in a chuckle at these new goofy-looking robots of robotnik, obviously making the S.S.S.S.S Squad mad and attacking them. While they may be caught off-guard by Grounder's ability to turn his drills into various weapons & tools, they'll still easily defeat the S.S.S.S.S Squad and proceed onward. As they continue to look for Robotnik, the gang wonder just what the hell is going on and why Robotnik is using all these insane gadgets & robots. They also wonder why they haven’t run into Naugus yet. Sonic assumes Robotnik must have simply gone completely bonkers from the defeat of Doomsday & subsequent imprisonment in the void. All of a sudden, the group find themselves surrounded by an army of Swatbots, the S.S.S.S.S Squad among them. It is then that AOSTH Robotnik reveals himself to the freedom fighters, flying in his egg-o-matic (with Snively sitting in the sidecar). The FF are at first stunned & at a loss for words upon seeing this goofier-looking version of their feared & hated archnemesis (AOSTH Robotnik assumes they’re frozen with fear). The silence is finally broken when Sonic starts to giggle. Soon the others join in and the giggles turn to chuckles until eventually, the whole group breaks out in hysterical laughter, remarking how stupid and goofy-looking Robotnik is now, all of which makes AOSTH Robotnik angry to the point where his own head literally explodes and regrows before growing big (as well as sprouting razor-sharp teeth) as he shouts “NO ONE LAUGHS AT DR RRROBOTNIK AND GETS AWAY WITH IT”, all of which majorally freaks out the FF and Snively. AOSTH Robotnik then orders the robot army to kill them, but Sonic whips out a power ring and destroys the whole army and sends AOSTH Robotnik & Snively flying & crashing into a nearby building while he screams “I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!”. Sonic & co retreat back to HQ (Knothole or Angel Island), still confused & freaked out by what they’ve just witnessed and wondering how and why Robotnik has changed. Uncle Chuck then correctly deduces that this Robotnik is in fact an alternate dimensional counterpart, which is confirmed when Sonic and Sally go on another mission to Robotropolis and Sal manages to use NICOLE to scan AOSTH Robotnik while he & Sonic are fighting. So Sonic and the rest of the freedom fighters spend the rest of the story trying to find a way to send AOSTH Robotnik (whom they christen “Goofnik”) back to his own dimension while having to deal with his wacky schemes. The comic could also fix the other big issue fans have with Dulcy by inserting flashbacks in her return story showing how she came to Knothole (probably quite literally crashing into the village after escaping some of Robotnik's air forces and having to be nursed back to health by the Freedom Fighters) and joined the freedom fighters as well as showing the friendships she had with the individual freedom fighters (challenging Sonic to races & even chili-dog eating completions, receiving some motherly comfort from Sally after having a nightmare, helping Rotor & Bunnie lift some heavy machinery, getting a spa treatment & pedicure from Bunnie with Sally & few of knothole's villagers helping out), in particular one with Tails. Being that she has a childlike mentality, Dulce would've probably been the closest thing to having another child in Knothole (plus Tails naturally being of the curious sort, would be in awe of such a huge creature and Dulcy would naturally find the young fox cub irresistibly adorable) so it's likely the two could have had a close friendship which would also be shown in these flashbacks (playing hide & seek, giving him rides in her pouch with Tails naturally bailing before Dulcy crash-lands, watching cartoons, having sleepovers, [[FriendlyTickleTorture tickling each other]] & playing pranks on the other knothole resisdents and even each other and lots of other cutesy fluffy stuff). In the second scenario in the context of Dulcy's abuse at the hands of Zan, these flashbacks become a lot more tragic & heartbreaking.

It could also be revealed that in addition to them, Satam Mobius [[FantasyKitchenSink is also host to other mythological creatures]] such as mermaids, elves (Lazaar's species) & Trolls (Naugus's species), [[AllMythsAreTrue all of which even existed back when Mobius was Earth]], but were feared & hunted by humans, thus forcing them to go into hiding until they faded into myth & fairytale, only coming out of hiding when humanity was wiped out and replaced by the much friendlier and accepting mobians.

So let’s say that Tails is allowed to come with the Knothole group as they search for their Chaos Emerald in spite of Sally and Sonic’s fears. Perhaps as suggested below, the emerald they’re looking for is located in the underground world of the Kraken from “Sub-Sonic” (being that they know the Kraken, they figure it shouldn’t be too dangerous for him to come).

The group will set off to said underground world with their newest member Gavin in tow, unaware that he’s studying the group to find their weaknesses and drive them apart so that his commander Dirk can take control of the resistance. And along the journey, he believes he’s discovered one; their strong affection and protectiveness of the young Tails. So after meeting the Kraken and convincing him to give them the Emerald (Tails naturally being psyched to have met the Kraken & exploring his underground world) and just before they make their triumphant return to Knothole, Gavin (possibly under Dirk's orders since it's likely the two will have some form of long-distance two-way communication since Gavin is supposed to report the Knothole group's progress) will kidnap Tails by drugging him (either by offering him some laced candy or drink or using a chloroform rag) and then tricks the group into thinking he’s been captured (depending on how intelligent and resourceful Gavin is, he may also fake a transmission from Robotropolis saying the the young lad has already been robotiscised. Alternatively, Dirk may send out said transmission).

It can't be a coincidence that the mobian royal family have had two french coyotes in their service & now a third one in the form of self-proclaimed palace guard Antoine. So they almost-certainly are related to Ant somehow. Perhaps his uncle & aunt, grandfarther & grandmother or even father & mother replacing Armand & Marie D'Coolette from Archie. If the latter does turn out to be true, then Belopis could suffer the same fate as Armand, being roboticized into a servant of the Robotniik empire and Antoine being forced to fight him.

If Knuckles does manage to get all 7 chaos emeralds, the FF may find a way to locate Angel Island (possibly using the same emerald tracking device they used to uncover the emeralds in the first place) and go there to retrieve them, followed by Naugus & Robotnik (at this point, Snively may have defected to the freedom fighters while secretly plotting to betray them as well, as in the original plan for season 3). What would follow then would pretty much be a loose adaptation of [[VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles]] and the "Robotnik Reigns Supreme" storyline from STC, with both Sonic & Co and Naugus & Robotnik traversing Angel Island's varied locales, opposing Knuckles & each other, eventually ending in Robotnik revealing his deception to Knuckles and everyone else and gaining both the seven emeralds, plus the Master Emerald keeping Angel Island afloat, thus becoming a nigh-unstoppable godlike being who'll completely obliterate Naugus and cement his control over Mobius, requiring Sonic to defeat him with wits instead of speed.

So AOSTH Robotnik decides to take over his counterpart's empire and vows to finish what Satam Robotnik started and destroy Sonic & his freedom fighters and then use his newfound empire's resources to return to his own world & take over that as well, ruling two mobiuses with an iron-fist. Meanwhile, the freedom fighters, upon hearing rumors that Robotnik has returned, decide to scope out Robotropolis to see if said rumors are true. When they arrive, the first unusual thing they notice is a chili-dog stand with a flashing neon sign that says "free chili-dogs". At first, the group are perplexed as to it's presence, knowing it's an obvious trap, but wondering why Robotnik is using such a ridiculous & obvious way of trapping them. Sonic, however, brushes it off as "buttnik getting really desperate to stop him" and decides to spring the trap anyway just for fun, the trap being the robot vendor handing Sonic a stick of dynamite poorly disguised as a chili-dog which he proceeds to throw back at the vendor, destroying the whole stand. As they proceed through the city, Sonic & Co encounter more wacky & bizarre traps (some so pathetically lame that the FF laughably evade them with ease & others surprisingly catching them off-guard with their weirdness) such as giant mousetraps & bear traps set in painfully obvious places, plunger-bazookas, flying chatter-teeth & missiles with pitbull heads. As they continue to look for Robotnik, the gang wonder just what the hell is going on and why Robotnik is using all these insane gadgets & robots. They also wonder why they haven’t run into Naugus yet. Sonic assumes Robotnik must have simply gone completely bonkers from the defeat of Doomsday & subsequent imprisonment in the void. All of a sudden, the group find themselves surrounded by an army of Swatbots, the S.S.S.S.S Squad among them. It is then that AOSTH Robotnik reveals himself to the freedom fighters, flying in his egg-o-matic (with Snively sitting in the sidecar). The FF are at first stunned & at a loss for words upon seeing this goofier-looking version of their feared & hated archnemesis (AOSTH Robotnik assumes they’re frozen with fear). The silence is finally broken when Sonic starts to giggle. Soon the others join in and the giggles turn to chuckles until eventually, the whole group breaks out in hysterical laughter, remarking how stupid and goofy-looking Robotnik is now, all of which makes AOSTH Robotnik angry to the point where his own head literally explodes and regrows before growing big (as well as sprouting razor-sharp teeth) as he shouts “NO ONE LAUGHS AT DR RRROBOTNIK AND GETS AWAY WITH IT”, all of which majorally freaks out the FF and Snively. AOSTH Robotnik then orders the robot army to kill them, but Sonic whips out a power ring and destroys the whole army and sends AOSTH Robotnik & Snively flying & crashing into a nearby building while he screams “I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!”. Sonic & co retreat back to HQ (Knothole or Angel Island), still confused & freaked out by what they’ve just witnessed and wondering how and why Robotnik has changed. Uncle Chuck then correctly deduces that this Robotnik is in fact an alternate dimensional counterpart, which is confirmed when Sonic and Sally go on another mission to Robotropolis and Sal manages to use NICOLE to scan AOSTH Robotnik while he & Sonic are fighting. So Sonic and the rest of the freedom fighters spend the rest of the story trying to find a way to send AOSTH Robotnik (whom they christen “Goofnik”) back to his own dimension while having to deal with his wacky schemes. Such schemes include trying to destroy the great forest with a giant lawnmower (obviously dubbed "Mower-Zilla") to uncover Knothole (And plans to turn it into a mega shopping mall), rayguns that turn Sonic & Co into babies, make them stupid & do other weird stuff, the Pseudo-Sonic robot upgraded with artificial intelligence, a laughter-destroyer robot to rid Mobius of all laughter when the FF continue to make fun of him, a vacuum-cleaner mobile with a roboticiscer at the end of it, a candy magnet to steal all candy on Satam Mobius & the numerous trapping attempts of the S.S.S.S.S Squad (again with some failing miserably, in part due to AOSTH Robot ink & the S.S.S.S.S Squad's general bumbling incompetence and due to the Satam universe [[RealityEnsues not running on the same cartoon logic of the aosth universe]], a prime example being "Goofnik" attempting to infiltrate the FF by using Pseudo-Sonic to impersonate the real Sonic & then later [[PaperThinDisguise by poorly disguising himself as Rotor]], the FF immediately seeing through both, & others being surprisingly effective just because of how weird, strange & unexpected they are and the FF being totally unprepared for them. In particular, one involving tricking Sonic into eating a poisoned chili-dog which almost succeeds in killing him, his life only being saved by either a power ring or chaos emerald). At one point in the story, AOSTH Robotnik may manage to capture the whole group (as mentioned above, he may use a new Pseudo-Sonic robot to try and impersonate Sonic and when it obviously fails to do so, it instead ties them up and brings them to him) sans Sonic whom he sends Pseudo-Sonic & the S.S.S.S.S Squad plus some Swatbots out to capture Sonic or at the very least keep him occupied while he interrogates the freedom fighters. It's here that he shows them how petty & childish he is (spelling the word "crush" with a K and deciding that everyone on Mobius will spell it that way from now on) and they'll naturally mock him for it, Sally especially, who gets into an ArgumentofContradictions with AOSTH Robotnik which she wins rather effortlessly, obviously making AOSTH Robotnik mad. AOSTH Robotnik also reveals to the FF that his world does in fact have it's own Princess Sally (the one from [[WesternAnimation/SonicChristmasBlast Christmas Blast]]) and that like his counterpart, he too attempted a coup on her father's kingdom which unlike his counterpart, ended in failure due to AOSTH Sonic's interference. He also reveals, to the shock & horror of the FF, that he has his own handheld and alarmingly efficient version of the roboticiser in the form of the Robot Transmogrifier Ray (though they’re somewhat relieved when they see that this form of robotiscisation is easily reversible and they soon go back to making fun of him when they realise that even with something as powerful & dangerous as a roboticiser raygun, he still hasn’t conquered his own Mobius). Deciding he's had enough playing around, AOSTH Robotnik will them order for Sally & Bunnie to be taken to the interrogation room while the rest of the group are imprisoned for the time being. He then tries to use a "Hypno-Matic machine" (a tv screen projecting a classic hypno swirl) to hypnotise Sally & Bunnie. When that fails, he then uses a robot armed with "primed goose feathers" to TickleTorture the two ladies into giving up Knothole's location, fortunately being saved by Sonic who also manages to steal the Robot Transmogrifier Ray off of him (they later on try to use it to reverse Bunnie's roboticsiation which not only fails due to it being a different form of roboticsiation, but also causes it to run out of power). At first, the FF don't take AOSTH Robotnik & his robotic cohorts very seriously due to their goofy, bumbling incompetence with Sonic jokingly suggesting they keep them around for a laugh. Not helping matters is that this Robotnik isn't very keen on robotiscing and seems to prefer imprisoning or simply killing his foes (that being said, he does try and do so occasionally as mentioned above, with the Robot Transmogrifier Ray and a vaccum-cleaner-robotiscier-mobile as well as trapping Antoine in one and threatening to "turn him into a french toaster" if Sonic doesn't surrender. Scratch & Grounder may also try and lure Sonic & Tails into one with a trail of chili-dog which will fail miserably. At one point in the story, the FF may trash the robotiscier beyond repair, forcing AOSTH Robotnik to bulid his own "completely original" device which resembles the [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/sonic/images/5/56/Mystery4.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140103120554 egg-shaped conveyer-belt robotiscier from the early scrapped Sonic cartoon]]. However, they eventually learn that, for all his bumbling goofiness, AOSTH Robotnik [[NotSoHarmlessVillain can actually be a dangerous threat in his own right]] helped by the fact that, as mentioned above, the FF are totally suprised by & unprepared for his more zany schemes and gadgets. AOSTH Robotnik will naturally grow to hate Satam Sonic as much as the one he knows, perhaps even a little moreso considering Satam Sonic seems more snarky than his AOSTH counterpart and will no doubt constantly mock his goofy appearance & bumbling manchildish behavior. Meanwhile, Snively is going through absolute hell having to deal not only with being a lackey again, but one to what he considers an even worse boss than his uncle Julian, having to put up with AOSTH Robotnik's odd, eccentric, erratic & manchildish behaviour and temper and general incompetence, plus being used as a test subject for his various wacky gadgets. He may even at one point be demoted to sanitation duty (his only consolation being that he finds a way to covertly insult AOSTH Robotnik by disguising said insults as compliments e.g. adding 'ness' on the end of most of them). Thus, he conspires to get Naugus back, believing he's the only one who can get rid of this insufferable goofball. He also strikes up a surprise friendship with Coconuts, bonding over the fact that both are Buttmonkeys to their respective Robotniks. As for Naugus, after his embarrassing defeat at the hands of AOSTH Robotnik, he attempts to escape the void again but ends up in the AOSTH universe. Finding his magic is even weaker in this dimension (& finding the colors nauseating), Naugus tries to find a way to get back to the satam universe using whatever resources he can find on this strange new world. Fortunately for him, he happens upon the AOSTH Robotnik's fortress and although his magic is not as powerful as in his home dimension, he does manage to summon enough of it to temporarily shapeshift himself into AOSTH Robotnik & thus infiltrate the fortress unhindered. He then searches around the fortress's laboratory to find anything useful, only to find that AOSTH Robotnik has had most of his stuff moved to his new base on Satam Mobius, including most of the equipment in the lab, leaving it almost empty, much to Naugus's frustration. Meanwhile outside, AOSTH Sonic & Tails plan to play an April Fools day prank on Robotnik by disguising themselves as lottery presenters and giving him a fake cheque for ten thousand gizilion mobiums. When they manage to get to the front door, no one answers them however, not Robotnik, not Scratch, not Grounder, not even Coconuts. It's then that Sonic starts to suspect something's not quite right and he & Tails instead infiltrate the fortress via it's sewers. When they enter the fortress's laboratory, they are shocked and surprised not only to find empty, but to find a strange, troll-like creature their instead. Surprised by their appearance and not immediately realizing these are not the same Sonic & Tails he knows, Naugus is immediately hostile to the duo and attacks them. While Naugus does still have some considerable magical power (he also at one point catches Tails and tries to hold him hostage), because of his weakened state, AOSTH Sonic & Tails still manage to outwit and escape him. After they reach what they believe to be a safe distance, Sonic & Tails ponder who or what the strange creature they encountered was, why it was in Robotnik's fortress and if it's connected to his & his henchmen's disappearance. The two decide to look for answers first by looking in all of Mobius's public libraries and when that fails, going to see Professor Von Schlemmer & Professor Caninestein, who ask the duo to snap some photos of the strange creature to help them study it. Meanwhile, Naugus realizes that the world he's on is an alternate dimension Mobius and that the Sonic & Tails he encountered were in turn alternate dimensional counterparts to the ones he knows back on Satam Mobius. And since these are alternate dimensional counterparts, they have no knowledge of who he is, something he decides to use to his advantage. While AOSTH Sonic & Tails are out looking for Naugus, the wizard appears before them, [[WoundedGazelleGambit pretending to be on death's door]], begging the duo to help him. He then tells them that he's the ruler of another world who was dethroned and exiled by Robotnik and that the reason he attacked Sonic was because he thought the hedgehog was one of Robotnik's minions. Sonic is reluctant to believe Naugus's story and help him at first, but Tails convinces him to do so, reminding the hedgehog about [[AnAesop not judging books by their covers]]. So the two bring Naugus to Von Schlemmer & Caninestein who agree to help Naugus get back to his home dimension, conducting a series of strange tests on him to study his molecules so as to help build a machine that'll locate his dimension and create a portal there. Sonic & Tails go out and collect some specialized equipment for the machine, even getting some unexpected help from Wes Weasely (though naturally he's only in it for the cash). They eventually finish the machine and activate it, Naugus eager to escape this crazy dimension. Unfortunately, there is a malfunction, which causes Naugus, AOSTH Sonic & Tails and Weasely to be forcefully sucked into the dimensional portal, sending Naugus back to the void again and AOSTH Sonic & Tails to the Satam universe (Weasely is stuck floating in the dimensional vortex for the time being). The two then land in Robotropolis and are shocked and disgusted by the polluted & dismal environment, assuming it's the doing of their Robotnik (though AOSTH Sonic notes that it looks bad even for Robotnik).

This plotline could also still work even if we go with the "Tails convincing Knux to help FF & the FF being forced to set up a new HQ on Angel Island" theory, albeit it'd be more Robotnik manipulating the entire group rather than just Knuckles.

Tails himself may also have a secondary motivation for helping reverse-engineer the resonatrix or even finishing the device himself. The second to last panel of page 28 chapter implies that in spite of Sonic's reassuring pep talk, he still feels insecure about his place on the team. He may even be anticipating Sally and/or even Sonic to bar him from coming on the big mission. So he thinks that if he helps Rotor and/or Uncle Chuck create the emerald tracker (or finishes their development), he'll impress Sally and/or Sonic enough that they'll let him come along on the emerald hunt (something that may sour his disappointment even further if we go with the first WMG and he is prevented from joining the hunt).

* The Buzz Bombers from the pilot episode “Heads or Tails”:In addition to them, it’ll also be revealed Robotnik actually used many of his “badnik” robots (i.e. Motobug, Chopper, Crabmeat, Caterkiller etc) from the games back in the early days of his empire (he may have even used the chameleon badnik Newtron in an attempt to locate Knothole using its cloaking capabilities to track the FF without them knowing, which only fails due to Rotor placing anti-robot sensors in select locations around the Great Forest after the Sallybot incident). However, the freedom fighters constant attacks on his factories forced him to discontinue the line & focus instead on the Swatbots who were much quicker & cheaper to manufacture in comparison (the buzz bombers disobeying Robotnik may have also contributed to their decommissioning). Perhaps sometime later in the series, either Snively or Robotnik when he returns, may revive the badnik line and upgrade them into their Sonic 2 counterparts (e.g. Buzz Bomber becoming Buzzer, Chopper becoming Masher, Crabmeat becoming Shellcracker, Caterkiller becoming Crawlton etc)

Scratch & Grounder may also try and lure Sonic & Tails into one with a trail of chili-dog which will fail miserably. At one point in the story, the FF may trash the robotiscier beyond repair, forcing AOSTH Robotnik to bulid his own "completely original" device which resembles the [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/sonic/images/5/56/Mystery4.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140103120554 egg-shaped conveyer-belt robotiscier from the early scrapped Sonic cartoon]]. However, they eventually learn that, for all his bumbling goofiness, AOSTH Robotnik [[NotSoHarmlessVillain can actually be a dangerous threat in his own right]] helped by the fact that, as mentioned above, the FF are totally suprised by & unprepared for his more zany schemes and gadgets. Meanwhile, Snively is going through absolute hell having to deal not only with being a lackey again, but one to what he considers an even worse boss than his uncle Julian, having to put up with AOSTH Robotnik's odd, eccentric, erratic & manchildish behaviour and temper and general incompetence, plus being used as a test subject for his various wacky gadgets. He may even at one point be demoted to sanitation duty (his only consolation being that he finds a way to covertly insult AOSTH Robotnik by disguising said insults as compliments e.g. adding 'ness' on the end of most of them). Thus, he conspires to get Naugus back, believing he's the only one who can get rid of this insufferable goofball. He also strikes up a surprise friendship with Coconuts, bonding over the fact that both are Buttmonkeys to their respective Robotniks. As for Naugus, after his embarrassing defeat at the hands of AOSTH Robotnik, he attempts to escape the void again but ends up in the AOSTH universe. Finding his magic is even weaker in this dimension (& finding the colors nauseating), Naugus tries to find a way to get back to the satam universe using whatever resources he can find on this strange new world. Fortunately for him, he happens upon the AOSTH Robotnik's fortress and although his magic is not as powerful as in his home dimension, he does manage to summon enough of it to temporarily shapeshift himself into AOSTH Robotnik & thus infiltrate the fortress unhindered. He then searches around the fortress's laboratory to find anything useful, only to find that AOSTH Robotnik has had most of his stuff moved to his new base on Satam Mobius, including most of the equipment in the lab, leaving it almost empty, much to Naugus's frustration. Meanwhile outside, AOSTH Sonic & Tails plan to play an April Fools day prank on Robotnik by disguising themselves as lottery presenters and giving him a fake cheque for ten thousand gizilion mobiums. When they manage to get to the front door, no one answers them however, not Robotnik, not Scratch, not Grounder, not even Coconuts. It's then that Sonic starts to suspect something's not quite right and he & Tails instead infiltrate the fortress via it's sewers. When they enter the fortress's laboratory, they are shocked and surprised not only to find empty, but to find a strange, troll-like creature their instead. Surprised by their appearance and not immediately realizing these are not the same Sonic & Tails he knows, Naugus is immediately hostile to the duo and attacks them. While Naugus does still have some considerable magical power (he also at one point catches Tails and tries to hold him hostage), because of his weakened state, AOSTH Sonic & Tails still manage to outwit and escape him. After they reach what they believe to be a safe distance, Sonic & Tails ponder who or what the strange creature they encountered was, why it was in Robotnik's fortress and if it's connected to his & his henchmen's disappearance. The two decide to look for answers first by looking in all of Mobius's public libraries and when that fails, going to see Professor Von Schlemmer & Professor Caninestein, who ask the duo to snap some photos of the strange creature to help them study it. Meanwhile, Naugus realizes that the world he's on is an alternate dimension Mobius and that the Sonic & Tails he encountered were in turn alternate dimensional counterparts to the ones he knows back on Satam Mobius. And since these are alternate dimensional counterparts, they have no knowledge of who he is, something he decides to use to his advantage. While AOSTH Sonic & Tails are out looking for Naugus, the wizard appears before them, [[WoundedGazelleGambit pretending to be on death's door]], begging the duo to help him. He then tells them that he's the ruler of another world who was dethroned and exiled by Robotnik and that the reason he attacked Sonic was because he thought the hedgehog was one of Robotnik's minions. Sonic is reluctant to believe Naugus's story and help him at first, but Tails convinces him to do so, reminding the hedgehog about [[AnAesop not judging books by their covers]]. So the two bring Naugus to Von Schlemmer & Caninestein who agree to help Naugus get back to his home dimension, conducting a series of strange tests on him to study his molecules so as to help build a machine that'll locate his dimension and create a portal there. Sonic & Tails go out and collect some specialized equipment for the machine, even getting some unexpected help from Wes Weasely (though naturally he's only in it for the cash). They eventually finish the machine and activate it, Naugus eager to escape this crazy dimension. Unfortunately, there is a malfunction, which causes Naugus, AOSTH Sonic & Tails and Weasely to be forcefully sucked into the dimensional portal, sending Naugus back to the void again and AOSTH Sonic & Tails to the Satam universe (Weasely is stuck floating in the dimensional vortex for the time being). The two then land in Robotropolis and are shocked and disgusted by the polluted & dismal environment, assuming it's the doing of their Robotnik (though AOSTH Sonic notes that it looks bad even for Robotnik).

We got Knuckles so it wouldn't be inconceivable that we could see the likes of Amy Rose, Cream The Rabbit, Nack The Weasel, the Chaotix, Geoffery St John, Mina Mongoose & so on.

Obviously furious at being abducted, AOSTH Robotnik uses some sort of wacky gadget to easily defeat Naugus (which will presumably be called his “super wizard washer-upper” or something like that) & send him back to the void while forcing Snively to obey his command. He then learns about how his counterpart already took over his Mobius years ago & obviously fuming with jealousy at the other robotnik's success (which does level out when he learns that Sonic is still a problem). So AOSTH Robotnik decides to take over his counterpart's empire and vows to finish what Satam Robotnik started and destroy Sonic & his freedom fighters and then use his newfound empire's resources to return to his own world & take over that as well, ruling two mobiuses with an iron-fist. Meanwhile, the freedom fighters, upon hearing rumors that Robotnik has returned, decide to scope out Robotropolis to see if said rumors are true. When they arrive, the first unusual thing they notice is a chili-dog stand with a flashing neon sign that says "free chili-dogs". At first, the group are perplexed as to it's presence, knowing it's an obvious trap, but wondering why Robotnik is using such a ridiculous & obvious way of trapping them. Sonic, however, brushes it off as "buttnik getting really desperate to stop him" and decides to spring the trap anyway just for fun, the trap being the robot vendor handing Sonic a stick of dynamite poorly disguised as a chili-dog which he proceeds to throw back at the vendor, destroying the whole stand. As they proceed through the city, Sonic & Co encounter more wacky & bizarre traps (some so pathetically lame that the FF laughably evade them with ease & others surprisingly catching them off-guard with their weirdness) such as giant mousetraps & bear traps set in painfully obvious places, plunger-bazookas, flying chatter-teeth & missiles with pitbull heads. Eventually, Sonic will run into the S.S.S.S.S Squad themselves & laugh hard at their cartoony design, stupidity and ridiculous name. Even the rest of the FF will share in a chuckle at these new goofy-looking robots of robotnik, obviously making the S.S.S.S.S Squad mad and attacking them. While they may be caught off-guard by Grounder's ability to turn his drills into various weapons & tools, they'll still easily defeat the S.S.S.S.S Squad and proceed onward. As they continue to look for Robotnik, the gang wonder just what the hell is going on and why Robotnik is using all these insane gadgets & robots. They also wonder why they haven’t run into Naugus yet. Sonic assumes Robotnik must have simply gone completely bonkers from the defeat of Doomsday & subsequent imprisonment in the void. All of a sudden, the group find themselves surrounded by an army of Swatbots, the S.S.S.S.S Squad among them. It is then that AOSTH Robotnik reveals himself to the freedom fighters, flying in his egg-o-matic (with Snively sitting in the sidecar). The FF are at first stunned & at a loss for words upon seeing this goofier-looking version of their feared & hated archnemesis (AOSTH Robotnik assumes they’re frozen with fear). The silence is finally broken when Sonic starts to giggle. Soon the others join in and the giggles turn to chuckles until eventually, the whole group breaks out in hysterical laughter, remarking how stupid and goofy-looking Robotnik is now, all of which makes AOSTH Robotnik angry to the point where his own head literally explodes and regrows before growing big (as well as sprouting razor-sharp teeth) as he shouts “NO ONE LAUGHS AT DR RRROBOTNIK AND GETS AWAY WITH IT”, all of which majorally freaks out the FF and Snively. AOSTH Robotnik then orders the robot army to kill them, but Sonic whips out a power ring and destroys the whole army and sends AOSTH Robotnik & Snively flying & crashing into a nearby building while he screams “I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!”. Sonic & co retreat back to HQ (Knothole or Angel Island), still confused & freaked out by what they’ve just witnessed and wondering how and why Robotnik has changed. Uncle Chuck then correctly deduces that this Robotnik is in fact an alternate dimensional counterpart, which is confirmed when Sonic and Sally go on another mission to Robotropolis and Sal manages to use NICOLE to scan AOSTH Robotnik while he & Sonic are fighting. So Sonic and the rest of the freedom fighters spend the rest of the story trying to find a way to send AOSTH Robotnik (whom they christen “Goofnik”) back to his own dimension while having to deal with his wacky schemes. Such schemes include trying to destroy the great forest with a giant lawnmower (obviously dubbed "Mower-Zilla") to uncover Knothole (And plans to turn it into a mega shopping mall), rayguns that turn Sonic & Co into babies, make them stupid & do other weird stuff, the Pseudo-Sonic robot upgraded with artificial intelligence, a laughter-destroyer robot to rid Mobius of all laughter when the FF continue to make fun of him, a vacuum-cleaner mobile with a roboticiscer at the end of it, a candy magnet to steal all candy on Satam Mobius & the numerous trapping attempts of the S.S.S.S.S Squad (again with some failing miserably, in part due to AOSTH Robot ink & the S.S.S.S.S Squad's general bumbling incompetence and due to the Satam universe [[RealityEnsues not running on the same cartoon logic of the aosth universe]], a prime example being "Goofnik" attempting to infiltrate the FF by using Pseudo-Sonic to impersonate the real Sonic & then later [[PaperThinDisguise by poorly disguising himself as Rotor]], the FF immediately seeing through both, & others being surprisingly effective just because of how weird, strange & unexpected they are and the FF being totally unprepared for them. In particular, one involving tricking Sonic into eating a poisoned chili-dog which almost succeeds in killing him, his life only being saved by either a power ring or chaos emerald). At one point in the story, AOSTH Robotnik may manage to capture the whole group (as mentioned above, he may use a new Pseudo-Sonic robot to try and impersonate Sonic and when it obviously fails to do so, it instead ties them up and brings them to him) sans Sonic whom he sends Pseudo-Sonic & the S.S.S.S.S Squad plus some Swatbots out to capture Sonic or at the very least keep him occupied while he interrogates the freedom fighters. It's here that he shows them how petty & childish he is (spelling the word "crush" with a K and deciding that everyone on Mobius will spell it that way from now on) and they'll naturally mock him for it, Sally especially, who gets into an ArgumentofContradictions with AOSTH Robotnik which she wins rather effortlessly, obviously making AOSTH Robotnik mad. AOSTH Robotnik also reveals to the FF that his world does in fact have it's own Princess Sally (the one from [[WesternAnimation/SonicChristmasBlast Christmas Blast]]) and that like his counterpart, he too attempted a coup on her father's kingdom which unlike his counterpart, ended in failure due to AOSTH Sonic's interference. He also reveals, to the shock & horror of the FF, that he has his own handheld and alarmingly efficient version of the roboticiser in the form of the Robot Transmogrifier Ray (though they’re somewhat relieved when they see that this form of robotiscisation is easily reversible and they soon go back to making fun of him when they realise that even with something as powerful & dangerous as a roboticiser raygun, he still hasn’t conquered his own Mobius). Deciding he's had enough playing around, AOSTH Robotnik will them order for Sally & Bunnie to be taken to the interrogation room while the rest of the group are imprisoned for the time being. He then tries to use a "Hypno-Matic machine" (a tv screen projecting a classic hypno swirl) to hypnotise Sally & Bunnie.
