* The events of this movie take place shortly after the events of Goodfellas ends. Henry outright states at the end that he hates living life like a schnook. So he decides to get back into the game with his new identity. This also explains why he couldn’t care less about his son or his grandson, that’s because they’re not really his. Eddie is another guy in witness protection who just happens to look a little bit like Syd so they set them up as a fake father and son. Since it’s out right stated that Henry and Karen had gotten a divorce this would go towards the cover story.
