* GameFavoredGender: Despite being the first Rune Factory game to feature the option to date men, female gamers are quite embittered that their number of choices is far less than the choices for male gamers. Though this is explained by the fact that the option of being able to choose to play as Sonja came incredibly late in production.

And you can't even play as Sonja until after you beat the main story, and if you do you have to build up your skills all over again. Though this is explained by the fact that the option of being able to choose to play as Sonja came incredibly late in production.

Shopkeeper is no longer a trope

* SiblingYinYang: Quinn, the sister, enjoys playing outside, while Kelsey, the brother, prefers to stay indoors Bookworm reading books. Additionally, Bismarck is a diligent and talented businessman, while his sister Sierra lacks all motivation to properly do her job, instead preferring to skip work and have fun, much to his chagrin. James and Elena may also qualify, too.

* NiceHat: Aden. Beatrix and James may count as well, though how much sarcasm one uses in concerns to this will depend. Then there's Sonja's headband-thingy and Candy's zipper-beret...

Added DiffLines:

* DevelopersDesiredDate: Both of the playable characters, Aden and Sonja, are heavily implied to be this. Both of them declare how much they care for each before they are enveloped in the light that serves as the plot catalyst, spend the entirety of the game forced to share Aden's body after Sonja's soul is separated from hers, and once they're finally separated, whoever doesn't become the playable character starts out with Love Points instead of Friendship Points.
