They lose their CharacterDevolpment, unless you max out their social link and even then some things are missing. We're not even certian if even the Protagonist remembers. However, everyone regains their memories on Graduation Day...just in time to find [[TheHeroDies the hero die.]] [[TearJerker *sniff*]]]]

* WistfulAmnesia - Used in both endings.

** One word: Ryoji

*** Which becomes [[FridgeBrilliance Fridge Brilliance]] when you think about it. Sure, someone could've cast Dia... but it would've done more harm than good. [[spoiler: Shinjiro had been shot twice and one of the shots pierced his heart. None of those assembled had the ability or know-how to remove bullets, meaning that a healing spell would only ''force his heart to heal around the bullet'' and do him no good anyway.]] In fact, it probably would've made [[spoiler: his death]] longer and more painful than it needed to be.

* GreifSong: ''Kimi no Kiodu'' LyricalDissonance ahoy!

* JapaneseHolidays - One Full Moon Shadow battle occurs on Tanabata, with an appropriate theme. Also, there are "holiday episodes" on certain dates, notably the New Year Festival (featuring SEES) and the Summer Festival and Christmas Eve (during which you have the option of going out with the girl you have the highest Social Link with).

* OnceInABlueMoon: Thanks to using the actual calender for 2009, a blue moon (Moon twice in one month) happens in December. [[spoiler: Which conicides with the reveal of TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt and the second moon is the choice for the MultipleEndings.]]

* WeCannotGoOnWithoutYou - If the Protagonist kicks the bucket, the game is over. Although it's not apparent at first, it turns out there's a storyline reason for this: [[spoiler: the Protagonist is the human vessel for the cosmic force of Death. If he were to be killed in battle, Death would be released, and all would be lost. This game is cheerful like that.]]]]
** It even stays justified after [[spoiler: Ryoji appears and reveals he's Death]], because [[BarrierMaiden the Protagonist]] [[spoiler: is the only one with the ability to seal away Nyx.]] If he dies before the ([[spoiler: solo]]) final battle, [[spoiler: the world is doomed because nothing can be done to stop the Fall.]]

* WeCannotGoOnWithoutYou - If the Protagonist kicks the bucket, the game is over. Although it's not apparent at first, it turns out there's a storyline reason for this.
