* DifficultyLevels: Works a bit differently here. As Lumisa gets items, an invisible point meter increases; in addition to triggering certain plot events, at certain thresholds it will also raise the difficulty level by adding new enemies and buffing the health of Guardians and Room Guards. By default the game starts at a difficulty level of 0 and caps at 3, but the Hard Mode returns, tablet instantly puts you at 3 and it's activated the same way as the previous game. The only difference is that it can be activated in ''the first few minutes of the game'', even before entering Eg-Lana for the first time.lets you go up to 6.

** An early bit of info in the Roots of Yggdrasil states the foundation of ruins exploration is to start from the top and try to do everything you can before going down. This mechanically makes sense, but it also turns out [[spoiler:Eg-Lana as a whole works like this - as it's actually an upside down tree, the Roots of Yggdrasil is the highest sector of the map, and not only does Eg-Lana get more dangerous the lower you get, but the intended order of the nine Guardians matches their locations in Eg-Lana from top to bottom.]]
