''Kirby Battle Royale'' is a standalone PartyGame spinoff of [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} everyone's favorite pink puffball]] for the UsefulNotes/Nintendo3DS. It's not based off of any sub-game from [[VideoGame/KirbyTripleDeluxe the other]] [[VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot 3DS titles]] and is strictly its own thing, although it shares a lot of similarities to ''VideoGame/KirbyFightersDeluxe'' where Kirby in multiple power-ups (and Bandanna Waddle Dee, Meta Knight and Dedede) battle against each other - but now it plays in 3D like ''Videogame/KirbysBlowoutBlast''. It also features multiplayer co-op and online play.

* Flagball: Only available in team matches. Contestants have to throw a ball on the arena towards the flag of their color to score points; the one who scores 7 first wins. They can also carry the flag pedestal around - including the one of the opposing side. In the middle of the game, the flags become "double flags" which doubles the point gain. Some matches may also have the 2 flag pedestals merging into one, with a blue side and a red side.

It was released in Europe on November 3rd, 2017, November 30th in Japan, and January 19th, 2018 in North America.

* BattleRoyaleGame: Sort of. The Battle Arena is a Last Man Standing mode where 4 players must fight until only one remains. The twist here is that characters can revive themselves to half health if given enough time; the battle is only won when all but one combatants are down at around the same time.

** Meta Knight's alternate costumes dress him as Dark Meta Knight, Galacta Knight and Mecha Knight.

* ChargeAttack: The game features one for each copy abilities in the game, even for those that lacked such attacks before. It's enforced since one of the Crazy Theater's objective is to attack with charged attacks and two of the {{Power Up}}s enhance those attacks.
* ClimaxBoss: Meta Knight (along with Axe Knight) will be your opponent in the Gold League's qualifier match.

* EasingIntoTheAdventure: The story mode starts with Kirby on the way towards the castle, which serves as the tutorial level; there you'll learn the basic movements. You'll also meet Bandanna Waddle Dee there.
* GracefulLoser: Unlike King Dedede, Meta Knight takes his defeat to Kirby in stride, to the point where he appears to assure Bandanna Waddle Dee and Kirby [[WorthyOpponent that they earned their victory fair and square]] despite the former being flabbergasted that they actually beat him.

* PowerUp: If you manage to reach Platinum League, the game will start throwing these at you; they're single use power ups that will help you win the battles, selected before the battle and can only be used once per battle. You can use up to 3 of these for any battles. They are:

* SharpDressedMan: Amusingly, Meta Knight has this going on in one of his unlockable alternate costumes -- trading in his usual sword and armour for a more dandy outfit that includes a [[CaneFu wooden cane]], [[SignatureHeadgear white top hat]], paisley tie, and a ''Theatre/ThePhantomOfTheOpera''-esque venetian eye mask.

* VideoGame3DLeap: While ''[[VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot Kirby 3D Rumble]]'' and ''VideoGame/KirbysBlowoutBlast'' brought the traditional ''Kirby'' gameplay to a 3D space, they left the Copy Abilities untouched. This game helps rectify that.
