Instead of going outside to deal with the hostiles looking to steal their bounty, the banishers can simply fortify the boss area and make it impossible for any attacker to enter without putting themselves at risk. This will encourage the attackers to wait for the defenders to come out instead, during which time they will likely come across [[MeleeATrois other attacking teams and spark an all-out firefight]]. The defenders can simply watch the firework from the safe confines of their fort, and once the attacking teams have worn themselves out, sally forth to mop up whoever's left and head for the extraction.

This is especially egregious with the Specter, whose chamber can be emptied by hands by simply half-pumping the gun (which is precisely what the bulletgrubber animation for it does, unlike other animations where the Hunter has to go through the trouble of catching the ejecting bullet mid-air).

* AcceptableBreaksFromReality: The developers generally try to maintain a high level of realism with the guns in this game, but have deliberately simplified certain aspects:
** Ammo is divided into three calibers: short, medium, and long. Carrying two different weapons of the same caliber will allow them to share ammo pools. In reality cartridges were significantly less standardized in the 1800s compared to now, so a Winchester 1873 for example would absolutely not be able to share ammo with a Nagant revolver.
** Bullet drop was left out of game since the devs figured there was already enough information that players had to process (bullet velocity, penetration, damage drop over distance, etc).

* AnAxeToGrind:
** The player can find huge wood-chopping axes littered across the map, which can be picked up and used as weapons or as tools to break down doors. While they're quite slow, they hit incredibly hard and deal [[DamageOverTime Rending]] damage, which makes enemies bleed.
** There's also the [[AceCustom “Romero 77 Hatchet”]] – [[SawedOffShotgun A sawn-off single-barreled shotgun]] with an [[GunAccessories axe blade bolted to it.]] Functions just like a regular axe, with the added ability to fire shotgun shells.
** And of course, there's the classic [[BoringButPractical Combat Axe.]] It's not quite as big as the wood-axes the player can find around the map, but they still hit hard.
