** A Summer 2022 update added a version of the Sparks single shot rifle cut down to pistol size. It deals as much damage as the full-size Sparks (149 damage, secondly only to the Nitro and arrow weapons), but loses damage over distance more quickly (though it still retains damage over distance better than pistol-caliber rifles such as the Winfield) and is also much less steady when aiming.

** Several guns, such as the Specter 1882 and the Mosin Nagant rifles will eject perfectly good bullets if they're reloaded with a round already chambered. This can be circumvented using a trait called “Bulletgrubber” which allows the ejected ammo to be caught in midair, but still requires that it be loaded, so reloading after a single shot will still mean having to load two bullets.

A feature added in version 1.8 allows players to reload immediately after firing, thus avoiding ejecting an unused round.

** Even present in fictional variants, such as the [[ImpossiblyCoolWeapon Mosin Nagant Avtomat]] – because it's made from a converted bolt action rifle, it can still reload using stripper-clips... ''two'' of them. And as with the normal Mosin Nagant rifles, reloading the Avtomat too early will mean needing to load individual cartridges. With the regular five round Mosin Nagant, this isn't too much of an issue, but the Avtomat can hold ''twenty'' rounds, so reloading it at the wrong moment can take up a lot of unnecessary time.

* BackFromTheDead: Hunters have permadeath, but there are a number of outs when playing with a team.
** If a character is damaged to the point that their health reaches zero, they'll cry out and fall to the ground, permanently losing their rightmost health chunk. For a solo player, that's the end. If playing with a team of two or three, an ally can hold down a button for a few seconds to revive them with a sliver of health, minus the chunk that was lost on death.
** Initiating a banish on a dead boss will completely restore the health of any living hunter on that team, erasing past deaths and burns.
** If a character dies too many times in one match or has all their health chunks destroyed by fire (before or after death), they'll be unable to be revived...unless the reviving teammate is carrying a bounty token, which bring them back with only their last chunk.

** On the flip side, picking up a Bounty will supercharge that player's Dark Sight for a total of 5 seconds (rounded up, per use) so that it also highlights enemy hunters for about a compound's distance, even through walls. Additionally, a bounty carrier looting a dead hunter will have this ability topped up. This is multiplied by teams where each of the two bounties grant the full five seconds. All of this means it's very difficult to get the drop on a bounty carrier on their way to extraction.
