** For the DLC, Alear is mostly treated as being on their own as far as having traveled there (with various supports having party members speak as if they have no idea what Alternate Elyos was like or what specifically happened in it). However, in gameplay you have access to your full party from the main game to choose from, and the various royals have special interactions with their Alternate Elyos counterparts and some other characters related to them.
** Regarding DLC characters, they can be recruited quite early in the game and can interact with their Elyos counterparts. As far as their support dialog is concerned, they never see their counterparts, and have to be told about what they were like. They also largely speak as if they were not present or aware of the events that immediately precede [[spoiler:Mauvier and Veyle joining Alear's party, as if their arrival in Elyos comes after that (leading to a major case of TakeYourTime for their supports to happen at all, especially since Zephia and Griss die only a few missions before th end of the game).]]

* TakeYourTime: No matter how pressing the next story goal is, you're free to go to the other end of Elyos to do skirmishes and paralogues.

* TakeYourTime: No matter how pressing the next story goal is, you're free to go to the other end of Elyos to do skirmishes and paralogues. This is especially the case with everything that happens after [[spoiler:Veyle and Mauvier are recruited, to the point that it applies to support scenes as well. Cutscenes treat the characters as going about the missions to destroy the Fell Dragon Shards one after another in quick succession, then on to the final battle as soon as they can (since they need to catch up to Sombron before he escapes to another world). However, Veyle and Mauvier's many supports mostly require there to have been weeks or more of them living their lives in a routine way in the army traveling about the populated parts of Elyos (as opposed to Sombron's wasteland realm) with no sign of impending doom in the sky above.]]
