* TheSociopath: In both the original and the remaster, the one thing consistent about [[spoiler:Garvey Write is that he is an emotionless, remorseless being who can no longer be considered human, even in his characterization as an extremist, as he merely makes excuses.]]

* CorruptedCharacterCopy: The BigBad and FinalBoss [[spoiler:Garvey Write is depicted as being much worse than William Afton is in the original franchise in the original 2018 game, mostly thanks to Garvey having clearer characterization and crossing the line ''way'' beyond just child murder. In the remaster, Garvey isn't a complete {{Jerkass}} and at least ''thinks'' his evil deeds are for someone else's sake, which actually makes the remastered version of Garvey seem [[VirtuousCharacterCopy morally better than William]].]]

Of course, William and Garvey are still incredibly evil people, and William is reputable ''because'' he's evil; it's more apparent that this depiction of him alters his characterization in many, many ways that differ from canon.]]

* BigBad: AMIREAL/Cakebear seems to fit this role, as he appears most prominently in the game, [[spoiler:is the first Fazbear animatronic containing Fritz Smith's soul (and [[{{Gorn}} body)]], and is the TrueFinalBoss]].

** While the original Garvey was clearly a bubbling cauldron of hatred, malice and sadism that flew off the deep end as soon as he was tipped over, the remaster scales his crimes back significantly and paints him as more of a victim of SanitySlippage. [[spoiler:Garvey began murdering people to get revenge for John after John became the Bite of '83 victim (though in this timeline John survives), and during his boss fight, Garvey accuses John of being an UngratefulBastard for killing them both despite what Garvey claims to have done for him, though it's clear that he's very much been driven insane by first his murders, then becoming Springtrap and suffering in "purgatory", which he actually believes is Hell.]]

* ThePowerOfHate: The animatronics are described as being motivated by their uncertainty and confusion, being children (most of them, at least), and "aren't mentally stable". [[spoiler:Garvey, on the other hand, is driven purely by anger. In the original, this anger is also mingled with Garvey's innate madness and evil, while in the remaster this is downplayed since Garvey isn't himself anymore, his already fragile sanity having been completely destroyed by his death and transformation into his purgatory form. In the tapes he records for John, Garvey's also shown to be aware(and not happy) that he's slowly turning into the monster that he's always feared he would become. In one of his final tapes, Garvey actually outright warns John that by the time they next meet, he [[BecomingTheMask "won't be him anymore"]] and tells John to find and stop his future self to put an end to everything.]]

* VideoGameCrueltyPunishment: Ignoring [[BigGood Peter Write]] in the original game either leads to John being deafened unless killed if he completely mutes Peter ('mute' is instead called 'hang up', and doing so leads to an image of Peter's body [[HangingAround literally being hung]]), or potentially having Golden Call, of whom contains Peter's remains, appear on the desk and cause the game to crash.

* AttentionWhore: The majority of the enemies are driven away by looking at them on a constant basis. Havoc Chica, Havoc Foxy, Havoc Puppet, Soulcage, and the B.O.A especially. As long as AMIREAL is in his ruined state, he also requires your attention, but he doesn't demand for it in terms of his character since he wants the player to look ''away'' from him. AMIREAL is not the one who calls out his location on the cameras when the player needs to stare at him, as the one who does that is Havoc Foxy. In the FinalBoss battle, [[spoiler:if the player fails to stare at Garvey for even a ''second'' when he enters the office, he will end your run in an instant. Even if Garvey isn't in the office, failing to stare at him on the cameras will drain your power, leading to the same outcome.]]
