* IKnewIt: For all the stuff the comic failed to predict about the canon, it also managed to hit the nail on the head in a truly absurd number of ways. If your first read through is after the contradictory material came out, you’ll probably gloss right over the stuff it called ahead of time. The whole “La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo” as a forced mental block so people couldn’t say “The Patriots”? That wasn’t canon yet when the comic established it. Big Boss going into a coma in 1975? The coma was only mentioned in the translation of the first game as a {{Woolseyism}}, and would only be made canon by VideoGame/MetalGearSolidVGroundZeroes over a decade later. The comical abuse of nanomachines? While they already existed in canon, the comic ended before ''Metal Gear Solid 4'' even came out and made them a meme for explaining everything. To a lesser extent, Berthold is basically [[VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance Blade Wolf]] as an organic being and Psycho Mantis puppeting a zombie soldier would later come up in VideoGame/MetalGearSolidVThePhantomPain. While he never tried to replace his eye, Big Boss getting a replacement body part would also become a thing. [[spoiler:Kinda.]]

* AccidentallyCorrectWriting: In the comic titled "This Is Not How Cryptology Works", Nano Jackal uses her nanomachines to hack into Baker's account by running a program that types in every nine character combination into his password feed. Despite the title, this is a legitimate method called Brute-Forcing. The time that it took to do all that (three minutes and twenty-nine seconds) is artistic licence, though.

** A retroactive version of this exists in oversights on the writer's part, as he seems to forget that Wolf is a Kurd, Decoy Octopus is not a shapeshifter (just a really intense method actor), Dead Cell are actually an anti-terrorist ''training squad'' rather than an actual field unit, and that Snake actually used specially timed placements of explosives and grenades, not a rocket launcher, to defeat the first two Metal Gears.
*** Well, the first seems to be a TakeThat towards the performance of the voice actress who did Wolf's part, hence the running gag about her accent constantly slipping (it's even on the cast page). The other three...
*** The whole "rocket launcher thing" happened in ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid2'', though. Perhaps the author was projecting their thoughts on one soldier being able to scrap 3 to ''20'' Metal Gears on foot, and forgot exactly how Snake did it in the first games.
*** Solid Snake used a rocket launcher to defeat Big Boss[[spoiler:'s Phantom]] in ''Metal Gear''. Or at least, that was the easiest weapon to do the job with.
*** A Stinger missile launcher was also how he took out Metal Gear REX so...
*** Also happened in ''[=MGS3=]'', which came out during the comic's production and necessitated some re-writes. The author [[http://gigaville.com/index.php predicted]] it would happen yet again when ''[=MGS4=]'' was released. He finished the comic before the game was released. He was later proved right.
*** ''[=MGSV=]'''s revelations and Miller's injuries in ''Ground Zeroes'' don't help either.
** Of course, [[IKnewIt the opposite has happened a time or two]].
** Also, the last page wasn't ''entirely'' jossed. It's a bit complicated. [[spoiler:Basically, Ocelot ''was'' originally possessed by Liquid's arm, but he eventually got rid of it after figuring it was too much trouble, and decided to replicate the effects via hypnosis, presumably so it was more "controllable" for his purposes.]]
