* AdaptationInspiration: While it is well known that executive producer Philip [=DeGuere=] was requested to write a show that would somehow be a modern-day "Butch and Sundance", what is not too much talked about is that his other point of inspiration was a spec pilot [=DeGuere=] had read about a divorced husband and wife detective team that was written by Bob Shayne (a frequent writing collaborator). That particular script [then called Wilder and Wilder] was eventually reworked and became another popular series "Hart to Hart". So when you see the boys bickering like "an old married couple" it's because they originally were.
