* RealitySubtext: One can interpret the lyrics of certain songs ('X.Y.U.', 'Bodies', 'Fuck You') to be about Billy's marriage to his wife Chris Fabian, whom he divorced near the end of the tour for this album. This interpretation isn't so far-fetched since Billy at one point stated that some of the lyrics to ''Siamese Dream'' came from a CreatorBreakdown as he had temporarily separated from her (then his girlfriend) during the recording sessions.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Owing to the ''massive'' number of B-sides the sessions for this album produced, nearly every Smashing Pumpkins fan is going to have songs they wish had been included on the album proper. [[EnsembleDarkhorse Particularly popular choices]] include "Set the Ray to Jerry", "Rotten Apples", "Medellia of the Gray Skies", "Cherry", "Ugly", and "The Aeroplane Flies High (Turns Left, Looks Right)". Several of these eventually were included in some form on bonus discs of the reissue.
