* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Due to the small sales numbers of the series, FUNimation will not be renewing their license for ''Higurashi no Naki Koro ni'' or ''LightNovel/ZeroNoTsukaima'', and will not be dubbing or releasing any further seasons of either one.
** Actually, FUNimation never held the license in the first place. It was actually Geneon who licensed and had the thing dubbed (with Bang Zoom!). When Geneon stopped it's DVD operations, it had only released a couple volumes of Higurashi before they partnered with FUNimation to finish their releases. When Geneon's license expired, so did FUNimation's. The show sold decently, but not enough for FUNimation to show any further interest in the series.
*** There is hope though. Sentai Filmworks recently rescued RozenMaiden (which FUNimation also distributed for Geneon), and had the English dub finished with the original Bang Zoom! voice cast. Since Rozen's fate was nearly identical to Higurashi's, there is speculation that Higurashi may be rescued afterall.
