* CreatorsFavoriteEpisode: Camelslayer has mentioned that the Cave of Madness is his favorite dungeon.
* DevelopmentHell: Not the game itself, but rather its official SpiritualSuccessor Grave Story, which had been in development since mid-2013, fell victim to this. According to a now-deleted blog post, the developer's indifference to [=RPG=]s as well as real-life issues and pessimism about how it would attract an audience would put the game's development on hold indefinitely and potentially in a grave. The developer's other project, Prepare To Die also suffered from this but would finally be released in 2017.

* NoBudget: A given, as this was a freeware game. Almost all of the overworld sprites used stock RPG Maker VX assets, with the exceptions being four of the Admins who were made in the RPG Maker VX Ace character generator and some of the optional bosses in Kraken Edition. Several people have actually asked Camelslayer if the game could be bought or if there were going to be DownloadableContent, despite him stating that the game was free.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** There was going to be an even stronger version of the Lolrus called the Dark Lolrus, whose attacks would inflict tens of millions of damage.
** There were two user enemies who did not make it in the final game — Getocoolaid and Ultimate Show Man. There exists data on a weapon called an Oscar that would've been dropped by Getocoolaid.
** Admins were going to be summonable once they were defeated. It was discovered through data mining that there were animations for Rince and the Autarch of Flame being summoned, with the latter having a dark version of himself. With how these animations were some of the earlier ones, it was implied that a downloadable RPG Maker VX script for summon magic would've been in the game but the folder for the summon sprites that the script required was not present meaning the animations would crash the game. These animations still exist in the database for Kraken Edition.
** The entire RPG Maker XP soundtrack as well as several sound effects that were only used in the engine implied that the game would have been made in the XP engine.
* WritingByTheSeatOfYourPants: This game was mostly ad-libbed, so most of the content was made as development went on. Most of the ideas made during development were made in a Skype chat with Creator/TheAutarch, some of which were jokes.

* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: This game was released back in 2012 and it shows that it was dated to around the 2010-2012 time period. Several references were from Creator/TheAutarch's videos from that time period years before his retirement from countdown making and even some of Creator/Joshscorcher's early works as well. In addition, some of the references originated on the forum it was based on as well before its eventual shutdown. Even in Kraken Edition two years later, there are references to works released around its time, such as a user spirit lamenting that he didn't get a chance to play VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU and another being excited for Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2014. And just to make this game even more dated, there were a massive amount of memes made since the release of both the VX and VX Ace versions as well as the advent of Discord years later.

Small change here. Looked in the game's files and misspelled an unused enemy's name.

** There were two user enemies who did not make it in the final game — Getokoolaid and Ultimate Show Man. There exists data on a weapon called an Oscar that would've been dropped by Getokoolaid.

* FollowTheLeader: After this game was released, several users who enjoyed the game made their own Spiritual Successors in RPG Maker, one of which being Ethernet Odyssey. Sadly, all of those became Vaporware, especially since the Chaos Theatre forums shut down.

* AwesomeDearBoy: Many users on the real life Chaos Theatre forum wanted to take part in the game, as it was a game about said forum. All of the user enemies were users of the forum who volunteered to get a cameo in the game. The same can be said for the admins and moderators of the foru.

* OneHitWonder: This is the only work of the developer that has gotten several downloads and attention. His other finished game, Prepare to Die, which is a NintendoHard 2D shooter developed on Game Maker, is incredibly obscure.
