** [[ThoseTwoGuys Crash and Eddie]] are considered annoying, despite the fact that they were somewhat important as Ellie's adoptive brothers who play a role in the climax of the second film when they alert the main characters to saving her from a cave [[note]] Though that's where the usefulness ends, the ensuing flood leaves them trapped on a dead tree while [[TheHero Manny]] has to do all the hard work forcing the rocks of the cave out to save Ellie, Sid hits his head on a block of ice trying to save the opossums (forcing them to grab him to keep him from floating off), and a [[CatsHateWater hydrophobic]] Diego [[FaceYourFears faces]] his fear of water to save those three.[[/note]]. Their role was more minimal in the third aside from their devotion to Buck and the two helping him save Sid, but if you remove them from the fourth and fifth films, where they are reduced to semi-background characters who are sometimes [[LampshadeHanging called useless]] by the other characters, the story will be completely the same.
** Shira from the fourth movie, much like [[Film/SpaceJam Lola Bunny]], is a boring no-nonsense "tough girl" clone of one of the main characters who [[SatelliteLoveInterest only exists to serve as a convenient love interest for Diego]]. Not only that, her pretty white fur and flawless face sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the more ugly pirates -- which also makes it [[BeautyEqualsGoodness painfully obvious]], even to the target audience, which one will pull a HeelFaceTurn -- with the only part of her that's even remotely asymmetric being that she only has earrings on one ear.

* ''WesternAnimation/NextAvengersHeroesOfTomorrow'': The film's version of ComicBook/{{Thor}} is disliked by fans, since he not only abandoned Earth to Ultron's rule (even after the villain had killed all his friends), but abandoned his daughter there for reasons that make no sense (he wanted to teach her humility like his own father had done, but that ignores the fact that Odin at least raised him to adulthood beforehand, whereas Thor didn't even bother to raise Torunn before sending her there).

* Artie from ''WesternAnimation/ShrekTheThird'', a teenage version of Myth/KingArthur (with many aspects of him and the characters surrounding him [[HighSchoolAU in a high school setting]]), is disliked for being yet another CelebrityVoiceActor shoehorn (in this case, Music/JustinTimberlake), and for being an uninteresting character in his own right. This isn't helped by the fact that Artie is essentially the {{deuteragonist}} of the movie, getting more focus than well-liked established characters like Donkey, Fiona or Puss while not having enough unique or likable traits of his own to make up for it. Despite his large role in ''Third'', Artie [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome didn't reappear in]] ''Forever After'' and subsequent specials (because Justin Timberlake was recording music at the time), and wasn't missed in the least.

* ''WesternAnimation/GIJoeTheMovie'': The Cobra-La are disliked for providing an unneeded {{retcon}} about the origins of COBRA and for being unintentionally ridiculous villains with a narmy BattleCry.

** Jacquimo has become something of one, and endless comments have been made about how it completely [[JustForPun flies over him]] that he simply could've flown Thumbelina back home [[SkewedPriorities instead of looking for the Vale of the Fairies]].

* ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney'': Hugo is the most disliked of the Gargoyles who were already seen as the weakest part of the movie for detracting from its DarkerAndEdgier appeal. While the other two, [[CowardlyLion Victor]] and [[OnlySaneMan Laverne]], [[BaseBreakingCharacter have some supporters]], even those fans single Hugo out for causing a great deal of MoodWhiplash, having little personality beyond being a FatIdiot, his [[BestialityIsDepraved creepy attraction to Djali]], and wasting the talents of Creator/JasonAlexander.

* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls1'': Flash Sentry [[TaintedByThePreview was hated from announcement]] as a LoveInterest for Twilight Sparkle out of DieForOurShip and [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic the parent series]] avoiding unnecessary romance. In the film proper him being a FlatCharacter with no meaningful plot contributions[[labelnote:explaination]]His being [[BigBad Sunset Shimmer's]] ex-boyfriend has no bearing on either. The sub-plot of him [[ClearMyName providing evidence exonerating Twilight]] was so brief and [[{{Padding}} tacked-on it could have been cut without changing anything]].[[/labelnote]] or reason for Twilight [[StrangledByTheRedString to immediately crush on him]] despite never showing any romantic inclinations for anyone prior did no favors. Tellingly is as the ''[[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls Equestria Girls]]'' series GrewTheBeard, rather than fix him [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap like Sunset]], they made Flash a ButtMonkey over and [[ShipSinking sunk his romance with Twilight]] while [[DemotedToExtra reducing his prominence]]. While this did improve Flash's popularity by making some fans fell bad for him and triggered his CharacterDevelopment into a good-natured goofball at peace with not being a love interest by the digital shorts, it was too late/not enough to make his hate fully disappear.

* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls'': Flash Sentry, Twilight's new male friend, managed to become this before the movie even premiered! Some bronies feared he'd become her boyfriend. While he doesn't outright become her boyfriend and instead is shown as a crush, Celestia have mercy on his soul, for the shippers [[DieForOurShip will not]]. Even some who ''aren't'' shippers feel he's a RomanticPlotTumor, or just part of the High School ClicheStorm. Even aside from shipping concerns, a lot of people dislike him simply for being nearly irrelevant to the plot. There are only two scenes in the movie where he's relevant (joining the mane six in "Cafeteria song" with his guitar which helps boost the song's effect, and when he finds photographs that prove Twilight didn't wreck the gym). It's to the point where some people were convinced that he was a product of ExecutiveMeddling and was edited into the movie.

** ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameII'': [[SissyVillain Sarousch]] is considered an obnoxious disgrace to the Disney Villains brand -- especially by the (numerous) fans of Judge Claude Frollo, the first film's brutal KnightTemplar villain -- due to being an obnoxious, unlikable one-note {{narcissist}} who lacks Frollo's charisma and complexity and never even comes ''close'' to being threatening. He also pales in comparison to other, [[EvilIsCool cooler]] sequel villains/antagonists such as the CreepyAwesome, Creator/TimCurry-voiced [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeastTheEnchantedChristmas Forte]], [[CrossesTheLineTwice gleefully-vile]] poacher [[WesternAnimation/TheRescuersDownUnder McLeach]], murderously insane cult leader [[WesternAnimation/TheLionKingIISimbasPride Zira]], conniving EvilFormerFriend [[WesternAnimation/LadyAndTheTrampIIScampsAdventure Buster]], and [[AntiVillain genuinely likeable]], Music/RebaMcEntire-voiced [[WesternAnimation/TheFoxAndTheHound2 Dixie]]. Even [[WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaidIIReturnToTheSea Morgana]], herself considered a ReplacementScrappy for Ursula, at least had a more established backstory and fleshed-out personality, and could be threatening when she wanted to. In other words, Sarousch is even lame by ''Disney sequel standards.''

* ''WesternAnimation/{{The Hunchback of Notre Dame|Disney}}'': The Gargoyles, Victor, Hugo, and Laverne, for being annoying, pointless [[PluckyComicRelief Comic Relief]] characters who feel completely out-of-place in what is otherwise a [[DarkerAndEdgier surprisingly dark and serious]] [[Creator/{{Disney}} Disney Film.]] Many speculate that the only reason they’re in the movie at all is so that it could maintain its G-rating and make the it more approachable to children.

* ''WesternAnimation/FelixTheCatTheMovie'' : Princess Oriana isn't exactly liked by some fans due to being fairly dismissive of the idea of Felix being the hero that was meant to save her, disbanding her army despite knowing that she had a crazy power-hungry uncle threatening her kingdom, not doing anything useful once she joins Felix, and saying she'll shut down the dimensporter for good despite barely using it at all and it actually helping them in one of the few (or possibly only) times it's been used.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheBlackCauldron'': Gurgi has been widely criticized for his annoying voice, tendency to abandon his own friends in the face of danger, and lacking his more engaging traits from the books like fighting alongside Taran and the others.

** For some folks, Taran qualifies as one. Many people find his bragging annoying, and they do not like how he patronizes Eilonwy in a sexist way ("What does a girl know about swords, anyway!?"). Sadly, this is actually fairly accurate to Book!Taran, and losing this arrogance is part of his character arc in the book series, which the cancellation of any sequels prevented being shown.
