Highlights include:
*His guilt over what he thinks he's done to the [[spoiler:four chosen children.]]
*Him becoming more and more distant from his wife, which leads to her confronting him about their marriage and their son's future, and [[spoiler: getting murdered by Dr. Andonuts out of fear of losing his son.]] Her words are especially heartbreaking if you've been through a divorce, or your parents have divorced.

--> "Is there something wrong with me?"
[[spoiler: Dr. Andonuts]] begging for [[spoiler: his]] life:
--> "YOU WENT INTO AN [[spoiler: OLD MAN'S MIND SO YOU COULD KILL HIM."]]
--> "I don't want to die."
--> "Leave me alone. Just go away, and leave me alone."
--> "[[AllLowerCaseLetters i have no weapon.]] QUIT PICKING ON ME."
There's also the final boss fight, which, when stripped of it's memetic status, basically boils down to [[spoiler: [[TheLastDance a desperate, frenzied old man fighting as hard as he can to stay alive and an exhausted bounty hunter trying to get back home.]]]]

The fact that, no matter what you do, no matter [[spoiler: what ending you choose,]][[spoiler: Dr. Andonuts is going to die. And judging from his last lines in his boss fight, he died enraged. And if you take the the "Bad" ending, it's implied that he died in terror. Oh, and Varik dies in that ending, too.]]
