** The first song of the Pokemon Christmas Bash album has Misty rapping about how the one thing on her Christmas list is to have a dance with Ash.
** Shortly after Brock temporarily left the group, Team Rocket captures Ash and Misty. Meowth then cracks a joke about catching a pair of lovebirds. Cue the blushing.

* One episode preview for ''Anime/{{Pokemon}}'' threw up a storm in the shipping fandom by focusing almost entirely on a romantic scene between Tracey and Misty, despite the latter's long-established crush on the protagonist (and the fact that Tracey was a total ShipperOnDeck for Ash and Misty back when he traveled with them). As it happened, the whole scene was just made up by one of Misty's sisters who thought that Tracey would make a handsome prince for her upcoming water ballet. Which resulted in fans starting to ship Tracey with ''her'' instead.

** In his later appearances, Drew routinely gives a rose to May. Initially, she teases him by asking if it's for her Beautifly and he says it is. But before long he stops making any pretenses that the roses aren't for May herself. And yes, they're always red roses.

** A double whammy for Ash/Misty in episode 198 of the original series: When Brock meets a girl who falls in love with ''him,'' she talks about how she wants to marry Brock. Ash makes an offhanded comment about how weird it would be if Brock got married. Misty then says "You and I will be married someday, too." Ash first nods his head, then reacts accordingly when he realizes just how Misty said it ([[http://imageshack.us/f/508/ashhuh.png/ This]]). Of course, her dialogue was ''very'' different in the Japanese version, but it still counts as 4Kids-fuelled tease at least.
*** Then later, when Misty is lecturing Brock on how to talk to the girl who's madly in love with him, she says "Take it from me: it's a lot easier to like someone who likes you, [[ObliviousToLove then to like someone who doesn't]]." Brock then asks how she knows this. Cue major blushing and a feeble attempt at explaining it.

Actually, this is the couple with the highest ShipTease per episode rating, Serena gives hint almost every [[PrecisionFStrike fucking]] episode! People are betting alot it will become canon. It took Misty more than 250 episodes to give a handkerchief to Ash and Serena did that in less that 10 episodes, that's really symbolic (and romantic) in Japan.

* Diamond and Pearl opening theme ''High Touch!'' pretty much sounds like one big ShipTease between Ash and Dawn.

* Due to hints that Ash and Serena may be ChildhoodFriends, this has created ship tease before the XY anime even aired.

* Also in one episode a lady friend of Drew's (I forget her name), who's talking with May and Ash, outright says that Drew may be in love with May (at least she thinks he is). Can't get much more blatant than that. 'Course, this was in the dub, so I dunno what the lady friend said in the Japanese original.

* May and Drew have their moments. Plenty of them. Including one scene where he hands her a rose after she wins a Contest... before saying that the rose is for May's Beautifly, not her. [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Mean?]] Yes. [[ShipTease Complete ship tease?]] Also yes.

** "Rocking the Virbank Gym" ([=BW083-84=]) also has [[spoiler:him agreeing to Iris' plan to make themselves up as special cheerleaders for Ash]] during the battle with Homika. OTP, ahoy!

* Also, Iris and her rival Langley. There was also that instance where Luke's Zoura transforms into Langley and Iris proceeds to ''touch it all over'' in order to use it like a puppet to mock Langley.

* Ash/May has had a ''lot'' of ShipTease, too, mostly before all the Drew ones started happening, but there was some afterward too. PokemonRangerAndTheTempleOfTheSea is one of the [[IdiosyncraticShipNaming Advanceshippers']] favorites for obvious reasons.

* Don't forget [[spoiler:Jessie and James' marriage and BabiesEverAfter scene at the end of ''TheElectricTaleOfPikachu'']], it more or less drove the fandom nuts at the time.

Trip seems to have the same personality like Paul...until BW022 when you realize he's a full blown {{Kuudere}} but this attitude is just limited to Ash only. In that episode the minute Ash tries to praise him, Trip avoids eye contact which is a huge sign to being a {{Kuudere}}. Next appearance, the {{Jerkass}} side of him is gone and replaced with nothing [[RuleofThree but]] {{Kuudere}} . Also, when does any of Ash's rival actually help him out when concerning one of his Pokemon? Trip would be the first if you don't count Gary after he {{took a level in kindness}}.
