* On 11 January 2019, [[https://www.instagram.com/p/BshDOBWnK_b/ Aaron Fielding announced via Instagram]] that he will not return after the ninth season.

* On 20 October 2020, [=BYUtv=] announced that Gray would return to the show as a cast member in season 10 as a featured cast member.

* The original cast had 10 members: Adam Berg, Whitney Call, Mallory Everton, Jason Gray, Stacey Harkey, Natalie Madsen, Stephen Meek, Matt Meese, James Perry, and Jeremy Warner.
* In May 2017, three new cast members were introduced: Aaron Fielding, Dalton Johnson, and Tori Pence.
* On 9 August 2018, [[https://www.byutv.org/post/4179aa85-b6b7-480d-bceb-0398879540ea/new-cast-members-writers-for-studio-c-in-2019 [=BYUtv=] announced]] that the original 10 cast members would depart the show at the end of season 9 and that new cast members and writers would be added.

* On 26 March 2019, [[https://www.byutv.org/studioccast [=BYUtv=] announced]] 9 new cast members joining Dalton and Tori: Garet Allen, Jessica Drolet, Ike Flitcraft, Matthew Galvan, Tanner Gillman, Jetta Juriansz, Arvin Mitchell, April Rock, and Austin Williams. Unlike the original cast, only one of the new nine members is a BYU student (Allen). Quite a few of them have experience studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Veteran producer and writer Jim O'Doherty (''Series/ThirdRockFromTheSun'' and ''Series/GroundedForLife'') will be the new showrunner.
* On 20 October 2020, [=BYUtv=] announced that Gray will return to the show as a cast member in the Fall of 2021. He will split his time between ''Studio C'' and JK! Studios.
* Tori left the show after season 13.

* TooDumbToLive: Everyone in the "The Smiths" sketch, which tells the tale of a man who [[spoiler:loses the family farm to his probably adopted evil brother Barnabie by willingly signing away the deed to it for no clear reason.]] Why does Barnabie want the farm? to grow prescription meds, of course! [[spoiler:Barnabie then loses the farm when he throws the deed at Mr.Smith as part of his EvilGloating.]] Sketch also includes this:

** Rumplestilskin and his "children" is one of the "Disgruntled Commoners."

* CastShowOff: Multiple cases. Jetta is a singer/songwriter, Joey can tap dance, Tori is a puppeteer, Arvin does stand-up comedy. All of these talents have worked themselves into sketches.

* HandPuppets: Tori Pence was a puppeteer at the local library before landing Studio C. At least a few sketches have utilized this talent.

* TokenMinority: Stacey (the black guy) and Jeremy (the AmbiguouslyBrown guy). The group takes advantage of their skin colors as much as possible. Jeremy has played characters that were Hispanic, Native American, and Indian. Stacey has played every black character in a spoof, even if they are female, such as [[Film/ToKillAMockingbird Calpurnia]] or [[Film/TheHungerGames Rue]].

* ArtisticLicenseLinguistics: In "Daniel Harrison: Behind the Mustache", Jeremy's wife (Catey) is "played" by Agnetha, a Swedish talk show host, who does not speak any English (and he does not speak Swedish), making communication between them effectively impossible. In reality, Sweden has one of the highest ESL rates in the world and fluency -- let alone understanding -- of English is so commonplace, especially among the younger generation, as to be effectively universal. In addition, Agnetha, being a talk show host, would almost certainly be expected to speak English in order to conduct interviews with visiting British or American celebrities.

* AwesomeMcCoolName: In the "Alien Invasion" sketch, one star got renamed "Creator/ChuckNorris[[EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs Saurus Rex]]". And even though the planet is made of gold and diamonds, and populated by fluffy bunnies, nobody dares bother it. Contrasted with the AtrociousAlias given to another star, "Wounded Lover".

* NiceGuy: [[spoiler"The Accountant Natalie meets at the end of "Bad Boy Rap", whom she instantly falls for.]]

* SpitTake: Adam gets nearly a dozen of these in his face in "Dana's Dead." And it is awesome. Same with Dalton in "Office Splash Zone".

* {{Corpsing}}: Jeremy's superpower is that he can keep a straight face through ''anything.''
** Mallory totally loses it in ''A Bold New Soap Opera''.
** Mallory and Whitney both in ''A Bold New Telenovela''.
** Matt and Mallory both fail to keep a straight face at the end of "Dungeons and Dragons."
** Matt is clearly on the verge of laughter in "Awkward Double Date with Puritan Roommate."
** Matt is visibly smirking and desperately trying to keep it together in "A Friend's Dying Secrets," where he is actually playing a corpse. Jason, who can usually keep it together, lost it as well. Some quick improvisation tried to cover it up.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67RPG6YNr98 "Cheer Up Mix Up"]] had both Matt and Adam struggling to keep it in. To be fair, Adam was sporting a "LOSER" forehead tattoo at the time.
** Matt has become so well-known for breaking character that ''Studio C'' has created a [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGVpxD1HlmJ-UsLKQE6tlJBJpkMJiziPy playlist]] of sketches in which he does it.
** Jeremy ''finally'' breaks character in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHC0nZSoOd4 "Atari's Revenge on Nintendo"]].
** While they all, no surprise, lasted longer than Matt (The Flash), in "Wonder Woman fights for Equality" after Natalie (Wonder Woman) accidentally slams Jason (Batman) harder than she intended too into the desk, (to the point that she actually put a crack in the table) all of them, James (Superman) included ended up visibly chuckling and smirking at the circumstances. To his credit Jason was able to remain his composure longer than the other three.
** Impressively averted by Mallory in "Prince Charming's Awkward First Kiss," in which she remains completely still and in character as an unconscious Sleeping Beauty, despite all the shenanigans Adam's Prince Charming puts her through. The two even mention how amazing this was in the React Series, especially given that neither were able to keep it together during dress rehearsals of the sketch.
** One of the charms of the "tongue twister" sketches is watching the regular players (Matt, Jason, Stacy, Mal and Adam) crack up after mistaking their lines.
** In [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTH0Hbsj1Fk "The Worst Blackmail Imaginable"]], Jason's character is upset and turns away from Stephen, only to accidentally bump into some easels. To cover it up, Jason angrily knocks them aside and faces the wall. Whitney struggles to suppress her laughter in order to deliver her next line.

* DwindlingParty: Happens in a sketch parody of Series/TheNewlywedGame that features UsefulNotes/HenryVIII (Played by Dalton). Whenever Henry would get an answer wrong, he would switch wives and have his former one beheaded. When the contestants call him out on it, Henry beheads them too, and then the host, and them some of the cast members. Then when everyone in the audience boos him, Henry ''[[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou singlehandedly beheads them all]]'' ''[[UpToEleven in less than 5 seconds!]]'' [[spoiler:Ultimately subverted when it was all revealed to be just a sketch written by Dalton; [[ExecutiveMeddling The producer walks in and expresses his disapproval for the sketch,]] [[WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids saying that it's too dark for a family-friendly sketch comedy.]] [[BleachedUnderpants And so the whole sketch was revamped,]] [[EverybodyLives and all the cast members (and the audience) are shown to be alive]] [[SuddenMusicalEnding and they all sing about it.]]]]
