Added DiffLines:

''Mille'' is a Danish TweenDrama series, consisting of 10 episodes that was originally aired on the channel DR1 in February 2009 and has since been rerun a few times.

The titular Mille is your average 12-year-old girl who's best friends with her classmate Marie. The two girls have been auditioned to perform at their school's annual summer concert with their self-written song ''Venner Forever'' ("Friends Forever").

Unfortunately, fate will have it differently. One day, when cycling home from school, Marie has forgotten her bike helmet, and she and Mille cycle right in front of a distracted driver. Mille gets off the accident with only light injuries, but when she wakes up at the hospital, she is told the horrible news that Marie died in the accident.

The series then follows Mille's grief and attempts to get back to a normal life after the loss of her best friend. However, the road towards that goal is filled with obstacles, such as Mille's troubled home life with divorced parents and her being forced to do group work with Tobias, the outcast weirdo of the class. But is Tobias really such an outcast weirdo after all?

!!Tropes:
* DeathOfAChild: One of the most iconic examples in recent Danish television, with a 12-year-old girl being killed in a traffic incident, something that caused quite an uproar with many viewers when the first episode aired.
* DownerBeginning: A huge one given that Mille loses her best friend in a traffic accident.
* FirstEpisodeTwist: Marie's death at the end of the first episode will be very shocking to anyone who watches the series without having heard of it before, and yet it sets up the main premise of the rest 9 episodes.
* HeldBackInSchool: Part of Tobias's outcast status is that he was held back one year - this fact just makes him even more of a BullyMagnet by his peers. His actor is also a couple years older than the rest of the child cast.
* PlatonicLifePartners: Mille and Tobias have become very close by the end of the series and are fully comfortable to perform ''Venner Forever'' with each other. Even so, the ShipTease among them is minimal (even though they are regularly accused of dating by their peers.
