** There are a lot of shout-outs to ''Series/HyakujuuSentaiGaoranger'', probably due to both Zyuohger and Gaoranger being animal-themed. To start, both Red Rangers have an animal-related occupation (Kakeru is a veterinarian and Yamato is a zoologist); the way Yamato was sent to Zyuman in the first episode is similar to how Kakeru was sent to Gao Island; and both teams have an eagle, lion, shark, and tiger-themed ranger (although who is the lion and the eagle is switched between the red and yellow rangers of the two series).

*EvolvingCredits: The usual new mechs and SixthRanger being added to the opening, of course... but most notable as that the first episode's opening does not show the Zyuman team members' human faces, giving different shots of their Zyuman forms in the places their human forms are ''going'' to be. You could watch it and think they were never going to have human forms. Also, Jag'd is alongside the other villains in the shot of Ginis' lair as if he's going to be one of the main ones (after all, he ''is'' a team leader even if he serves as an MOTW instead of a general.)

*NonIndicativeName: There's a bad guy made of cubes, and a bad guy named Kubar. They're not the same guy. (Of course, SpellMyNameWithAnS kicks in; Quval is another way of spelling it.)

* PlotHole: Out of all the past lead villains Bangray pulled from his memory, Marvelous has never seen Escape's Escape Evolve form, nor has he met Deboth and Emperor Z.

He ''might'' remember Dokoku from Super Hero Wars and Super Hero Wars Z, though. Still, he really, really should've pulled them from sentai fanboy Gai's memory instead of Marvelous.
