Alexei tries to learn more about Sophia's relationship with Gleb by asking Lyuba -- who immediately realises that he must be jealous (even if he denies this). Soon afterwards, Sophia comes to Lyuba as well, worrying about Gleb; ever since he failed to perform in bed, he keeps avoiding sex like fire. Lyuba suggests to just give him more time to deal with this, but Sophia thinks that it would only make things worse; instead, she must act sudden and provoke him into having sex right here, in the hospital -- only then he would live past that one failure. But how to make it sudden, but not get busted by Bykov? Lyuba immediately reveals this plan to Gleb, who now wants to stop her, as he knows that she wouldn't stop at just casual sex, and would force him to marry. Alexei, meanwhile, learns about Sophia's plans from Lyuba, and sees it as a sign that their relationship goes serious; despite denying that he has any interest, he asks Lyuba for details, but Lyuba playfully refuses, stating that she has no reason to tell him if he's "not interested". Now, if Alexei wants to stop it, he must find another source of information.

Bykov notices the patient Yartsev (with kidney problems, no less) just lying on a gurney in the middle of corridor, instead of one of the wards. He takes him to interns' room, where he can wait for the doctor. Alexei is the first to point out that he "isn't their patient", which enrages Bykov enough to forcibly appoint Alexei to be Yartsev's doctor. Sophia asks "where they can rest", which Bykov dislikes because doctors are supposed to think about their patients first and foremost, and only then about "rest". Maxim tries to just act as sycophantic as possible in order to receive Bykov's on-call room instead... which Bykov doesn't like either. Maxim can't concentrate on medical literature while Alexei works with Yartsev right in the same room. The Bykov sends another patient (they're just out of free wards), and Max, fed up with this, goes to Kisegach. Kisegach actually sides with Maxim, and orders Bykov to either free the room from patients, or let interns into on-call room; no, leaving them in a corridor is not an option. They can't do the former, so they would do the latter, wether Bykov likes it or not. Bykov complies, but provides interns with only a small zone which he separates with red duct tape, and prohibits to cross it. Maxim rushes to Kisegach immediately. Bykov reacts to this snitching attempt by decreasing the territory available to interns. When Max still fails to get the message, Bykov decreases it even further, leaving only a small part near the exit. Max still tries to go to Kisegach, but gets stopped by the other interns, who tells him that his attempt to "help" only makes the things worse for them all. Bykov agrees to that -- and gives Max a night shift, for snitching.

Semyon plans to go on a one-day vacancy tomorrow, and only needs to find a tent: he would go fishing! He actually invites Phil with him, but Phil is too busy working under Kupitman. Semyon tries to assure him that he may just ask for a day off; he works so hard and deserves it! Phil tries, and gets refused. Lobanov offers his help with that: just as he deceived Gennadiy, he would deceive Kupitman. How? Lobanov's method involves acting like you've gone nuts due to overworking and stress, so your boss would order you to go take some rest. After Phil's (bad) attempt to imitate being on the brink, Kupitman finally catches up, and... announces that tomorrow, he wouldn't go to work, so Phil would spend a whole day working by himself, "resting" from Kupitman. Lobanov then tells him why his plan failed: Kupitman planned to go fishing with Semyon by himself, and Lobanov suggested to dump all work on Phil. Why he didn't warn Phil? Because he wanted to watch the show and laugh.

Sophia offers to take that night shift instead of Maxim, knowing that Gleb would stay, too. Alexei, knowing what she's planning to achieve, volunteers to stay, too (claiming that he wants to read about "one interesting case"). This means that he would sit here, even if she wants him gone. When flat-out asked wether he did this just to sabotage her attempts to have sex with Gleb, he answers that yes. When Sophia leaves, Gleb reveals a whole story to Alexei and states that they are on the same side.

Alexei tries to learn more about Sophia's relationship with Gleb by asking Lyuba -- who immediately realised he must be jealous (even if he denies this).

Bykov noticed patient Yartsev (with kidney problems, no less!) just lying on gurney in the middle of corridor, instead of one of the wards. He took him to interns' room, where he can wait for the doctor. Alexei was first to point out what he "isn't their patient", which enraged Bykov enough to forcibly appoint Alexei to be Yartsev's doctor. Sophia asked "where they can rest", which Bykov disliked because doctors are supposed to think about their patients first and foremost, and only then about "rest". Maxim tried to just act as sycophantic as possible in order to receive Bykov's on-call room instead... which Bykov didn't like either.

Semyon plans to go on a one-day vacancy tomorrow, and only needs to find tent: he would go fishing! He actually invites Phil with him, but Phil is too busy at Kupitman. Semyon tries to assure him what he may just ask for a leave; he works so hard, he deserves it!

Sophia discusses with Lyuba her problems with Gleb. After that one time he failed to perform in bed, Gleb keeps avoiding sex like fire. Lyuba suggested to just give him more time to deal with this, but Sophia thinks it would only make things worse; instead, she must act sudden and provoke him into having sex right here, in the hospital -- only then he live past this one failure. Only problem is how to organise this to actually being sudden -- yet not reveal this to Bykov? Lyuba immediately revealed this plan to Gleb, who now must find a way how not to sleep with Sophia -- because with her, it wouldn't stop at just casual sex, no, she would demand him marrying her!

Maxim can't concentrate on medical literature while Alexei works with Yartsev right here. Then Bykov sent another patient here (due to them lacking free wards), and Max decided he has enough, and went to Kisegach.

Phil revealed to Semyon what Kupitman didn't allow him to leave. When Lobanov realised what Phil simply asked him as is, he offered some help with it: just as he deceived Gennadiy, he would help to deceive Kupitman. How? Lobanov's method involves acting like you are gone nuts due to work-caused stress, so you boss would offer you vacation themselves.

Kisegach received complains from Maxim, and sided with him: Bykov must either free the room they normally use from patients, or let interns in the on-call room: they can't simply stay in the corridor, like Bykov suggested. Since first option is not an option (patients needs some place when hospital is short on wards), they should stick with second one. And this is an order.

Alexei learns from Lyuba (who just can't help but spread gossips) what Sophia and Gleb plans to do it, today, right in the hospital, as a sign of their relationship becoming "serious". Despite his attempts to hide the fact what he isn't interested, he asked Lyuba for details -- who playfully refused, stating what he claimed to "not being interested", so why bother? This means, he must obtain more information if he wants to stop it.

Bykov allowed interns in... but provided them with the small zone he separated by red duct tape, and prohibited to cross it. Maxim immediately rushed to complain to Kisegach again.

Kupitman finally caught on the fact what Phil needs some rest from him to help with his stress... so, tomorrow (just when Phil wanted to leave!) he would not go to work, allowing Phil to work alone and "rest" from Kupitman.

Maxim's attempts to snitch again resulted in Bykov not only refusing to remove the border, but actually reducing the territory available for interns. Maxim still didn't get a message, so Bykov reduced it further, leaving only small place near exit. When Maxim tried to run to Kisegach again, other interns stopped him, stating what he fights hopeless war and only makes their situation worse. Bykov agreed -- and also punished Maxim with night shift, for snitching. Spending that shift he would, of course, on territory Bykov separated from the rest of on-call room, together with Gleb. Suddenly, Sophia offered to take that night shift instead of Maxim -- and only Alexei knows what she wants to achieve.

Lobanov finally revealed why Phil's plan failed: Kupitman planned to went fishing with Semyon himself, and Lobanov suggested to dump all work on Phil. He didn't warn Phil about it just so he can watch the show and laugh.

Night has come, and now, on night shift, in on-call room sit Gleb, Sophia... and Alexei, who volunteered to come on night shift instead of Maxim (who claims to just wanting to read about "interesting case"), meaning he would sit here, even if she wants him gone. When she flat out asked him wether he did this to sabotage her attempts to have sex with Gleb, he answered what yes. When Sophia leaved, Gleb revealed whole story to Alexei and stated what they are on the same side.

!! This episode provides examples of:
* AxCrazy: Trope and Trope as part of Lobanov's plan: if you want to receive bonus vacation from your boss, act like you went nuts from work-related stress, so they would offer you some rest to help with it. It's how Semyon deceived Gennadiy to allow him to leave so he may go fishing. Now, he suggests Phil to try the same with Kupitman.
* BadLiar: Phil can't lie to save his life. Semyon suggested him simple plan (playing total psycho so your boss would order you to take some rest), but he almost botched even this, due to being not emotional enough to be believable.
* DiggingYourselfDeeper: When Phil stated he's too busy to go fishing with Semyon, Lobanov stated what Phil deserves it, because he "works hard, like nigger on plantation". When Phil tried to reprimand him on it, he "defended" himself by stating what "African-Americans are reading rap and playing basketball, while niggers are working; stop bothering me with your 'polite-correctness', Phil!"
* DudeNotFunny: When Lyuba revealed to Gleb Sophia's "plan" and how it should went, why laughing at it, he not only stated it to be unfunny, but also accused her of making up some more gross details (which she admitted).
* ExactWords: When ordered by Kisegach to allow interns in on-call room, Bykov did this... but provided them with the small zone he separated by red lent, and prohibited to cross it on the pain of chopping off their legs.
* FalseReassurance: Kupitman caught on the fact what Phil needs some rest from him... and suggested what he would not go to work tomorrow, allowing Phil to work alone.
* GoneHorriblyWrong: Phil's attempts to make Kupitman think what Phil needs some rest from working under Kupitman (so Phil may go fishing with Semyon) resulted in Kupitman agreeing... and freeing Phil from himself by leaving Phil to work alone for a day.
* InterruptedIntimacy: Alexei just keeps appearing at worst moments, ruining Sophia's attempts to seduce Gleb. Unknowingly to Alexei (who does it intentionally as part of his plan to destroy Sophia's growing relationship with Gleb, so he may "take her for himself"), Gleb actually appreciates this, since he wants nothing to do with Sophia and just has no way to tell her so directly.
* loveTriangle: By the end of episode, it's officially established what Sophia loves Gleb, Alexei loves Sophia, and Gleb wants nothing to do with either of them.
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: When Bykov provided interns with new patient, guy called Yartsev, Alexei complained what "he is not even their patient" -- and was forcibly assigned to become Yartsev's doctor. For Bykov, it only matter what they are patients, not whose patients they are.
* PutOnABus: Twins Valera and Igor quit working under Bykov -- in fact, two weeks ago from the episode's events; Bykov was just too absent-minded to notice.
* Troll: Kupitman planned to go fishing with Semyon himself, leaving Phil to work alone. Lobanov didn't inform Phil about it simply so he can watch the show and laugh.
