The PilotEpisode for
the first episode of ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents'', premiering as part of ''WesternAnimation/OhYeahCartoons'' on September 4th, 1998. Butch Hartman made is the first of a reaction video series of shorts before the series was picked up.

Timmy's parents hire Vicky
to babysit him, who works him hard and makes him go to bed early. When he throws his Magic 9-Ball against the wall in frustration with it [[https://youtu.be/8pVqFAPoCnc here.]]telling him his parents will be gone all night, it opens... revealing two Fairy Godparents named Cosmo and Wanda! They got wands! They got wings! They got floaty crowning things! What don't they got? Any idea what they're doing. That's what. But that's not gonna stop them from helping Timmy with his babysitter.

** Several characters sound dramatically different from their contemporary versions, either due to different actors or their ongoing ones not yet clicking the characters. Cosmo in particular is given a smooth baritone Phil Hartman impersonation, which even the start of the official series had distanced from for an increasingly shrill, helium pitched voice.
