-> ''"For DOOM\u2019s 30th anniversary celebration, QDOOM is a conversion of the shareware episode of DOOM, Knee Deep in the Dead, ported to run in Quake. You can choose between playing through the episode with the original DOOM monsters and sprites, ported to Quake, drop in the Quake monsters and experience the original levels in a whole other way, or take on both with a mix of the two. Run through the hallowed halls of DOOM as Ranger with his Super Nailgun and celebrate DOOM\u2019s 30th!"''

As its name implies, the mod recreates the first episode of ''VideoGame/Doom1993'' in the ''Quake'' engine, complete with the secret levels. You can either fight against Doom's original moster lineup, Quake's monster lineup, or a mix of both.

On November 12, 2023, [[https://slayersclub.bethesda.net/en-US/article/celebrate-30-years-of-doom the mod was added as a downloadable addon]] for the 2021 ''Quake'' remaster as part of the 30-year celebration of the release of ''Doom'', with [[https://slayersclub.bethesda.net/en-US/article/new-add-on-qdoom-quake an interview of its creator following suit]].

The addon comprises the levels "Introduction", "Hangar", "Nuclear Plant", "Toxin Refinery", "Command Control", "Phobos Lab", "Central Processing", "Computer Station", "Phobos Anomaly" and "Military Base".
----
!! This addon and its 2021 remastered edition show examples of:
* HarderThanHard: The Nightmare difficulty is located in one of the pillars next to the slipgate to "Hangar".
* HubLevel: "Introduction", modelled after ''Quake''[='=]s difficulty selection screen, with the regular ''Doom'' bits here and there.
* {{Retraux}}: The addon is intentionally made to look after the original ''Doom'', and even its monsters, rather than displaying the fluidity of the ''Quake'' monsters, act as if they were the actual 1993 monster sprites transplanted into the game.
* SequelHook: Approaching the (closed) portals to the other dimensions, you get a message that the episode isn't accessible... ''yet''.
