Rainbow, however, sees it played straight.

With the Wonderbolts, ponies that Rainbow had admired for years, using the same nickname for her, she takes it as a very personal offense, specially since they stop using her name and only call her "Crash" when talking to her. This also reflects very negatively on her performance.
