* BrokenAesop: The Aesops of not let embarrassing moments effect you and not put standing out ahead of the team. Rainbow Dash's EmbarrassingNickname was hurting her and in turn her teammates before she tried to stand out, and it's her attempts to stand out that result in her resolving the issue by talking it out with her team when they confront her on it. This argues the opposite Aesop that things would have been better for everyone if she acted on her embarrassment and stood out by [[PoorCommunicationKills explaining her issues sooner]].

** Rainbow Dash's attempts at trying to emulate her friends in an effort to impress her fellow Wonderbolts come off as either pathetic or unsettling, and get her reprimanded by Spitfire.

** Embarrassing nicknames or callsigns are common practice in the real life military for pilots. They're always assigned by someone else as a way to make sure that the pilot [[NeverLiveItDown never forgets]] a really bad day. Also, like the Wonderbolts, it's done in the name of rough friendship or camaraderie, not out of malice.

This isn't to disgrace her, though, just a reminder [[NeverLiveItDown to never forget]], similar to the other Wonderbolts when they got their embarrassing nicknames. Rainbow, however, sees it played straight.
