Original French Title: ''L'Âge des Vikings''

Setting: AD 790 to 1066

In the mid-ninth century, with Charlemagne out of the way, Europe is under attack by savage foreigners, such as the Saracens, the Magyars, and the Vikings. But, let's travel back in time to AD 790, just three years before the very first Viking attack...

!!Tropes:
*FromBeyondTheFourthWall: When Viking!Pierrette is upset that her husband is not monogamous, the Clock has to remind her that there is no such thing as monogamy among Viking men.
*GoryDiscretionShot: [[spoiler: Averted when Viking!Teigneux kills Viking!Pierre and then is slain by Viking!Pierrot. Probably because [[BloodlessCarnage there was zero blood]].]]
*HornyVikings: Averted, as none of the Vikings wear horned helmets.
*ISurrenderSuckers: Hastein and his men are having difficulty assaulting a fortress. Because of the failure, they approach the castle to parley, saying that Hastein was killed in battle — and as such, they wish to convert to Christianity; Hastein is to be buried with his weapons as per their tradition. Once inside, he jumps out of the coffin, passes the weapons to his men, and they start the rampage.
*WilliamTelling: One of the contests Viking!Pierre has with Viking!Teigneux is shooting a ball off the son's head with a bow and arrow. Pierre succeeds, but Teigneux gets (understandably) hesitant; even when he fires his arrow within a foot from his son, he ends up shooting through Maestro's beard hair (though, thankfully, not his body).
