** Batman offhandedly mentions that [[IdiotBall Bruce Wayne's property insurance won't cover damages to Wayne Tower by meta-humans, then hastily adds]] that the reason he knows this is because [[MetaphoricallyTrue Wayne's a close personal friend.]] Cue an [[SilentSnarker eye-roll from Wonder Woman]].

** To Harley's [[CompensatingForSomething overcompensating]] by insisting she's impetuous and kisses everybody at random. She says this again to cover up by making a FreudianSlip and then kisses electronic-Sy. Like Batgirl, Kite-Man responds with, "What is happening?"

* CainAndAbel: King Shark's worst memory is of killing his younger brother, to the surprise of Psycho who was just expecting to expose something humiliating.

** Ivy uses some vines exactly in the manner of [[Franchise/SpiderMan another franchise's]] familiar [[ComicBook/DoctorOctopus villain]]. Harley [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]], "Well, that's new."

* LamePunReaction: Superman tries a pun with some bystanders who are recording him and Ivy fighting. They aren't that impressed.

* BystanderSyndrome: When a mind-controlled Ivy attacks Harley at Bethany's house, Joker doesn't bother to help Harley and then asks Bethany if she's craving Thai or Italian food while [[FunnyBackgroundEvent Ivy attacks Harley in the background]]. That said, he seems to think they are both ''enjoying'' it. Which poses a few questions about Bethany, but anyways.

** Superman is a little miffed after Wonder Woman lassos a Parademon with her Lasso of Truth, asks it where Dr Psycho is, and then looks at Superman expectantly when she can't understand its shrieks. Superman says that they shouldn't expect him to know what every alien says just because he himself is an alien. He then admits he does know some Parademon, but claims it's still a racist assumption on her part and admonishes her to do better. Cue (the first) [[RunningGag Wonder Woman eye-roll]].

* CovertPervert: Alfred closes the curtains at Wayne Manor when Dr. Psycho broadcasts Harley and Ivy having sex to all of Gotham, but peeks his head through the curtain to keep watching.

** Poison Ivy, King Shark, and Clayface do marginally better, but are ultimately no match for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman respectively.

** Pretty much how everyone reacts to Psycho's broadcast of Ivy's memories having sex with Harley.

* NoJustNoReaction: Harley is very squicked out seeing Batman and Wonder Woman start coming on to each other and when Superman tries hitting on her, after they're all exposed to Ivy's super-potent love pheromones.

* OrcusOnHisThrone: Darkseid is featured heavily in this episode. But aside from threatening Dr Psycho a few times, he just stands around. At the end, Harley pisses him off by turning down his second offer to take command over his Parademon armies so that she can conquer and rule the Earth under him. While he vows to turn the Earth into a scrap yard, he just leaves even though he could have done what he threatened on the spot.

* RevisitingTheRoots: Under Dr. Psycho's control both Clayface and King Shark behave and fight like their original selves from the comics and other animation. Psycho from the series' start was nearly as much a misogynistic pervert as in the comics, just not a psychopathic SerialKiller here. Now he's back to his comic roots almost full bore.

** Dr. Psycho directly name drops Creator/WesleySnipes when he tells Riddler he was trying to come up with a [[OneLiner cool one-liner]] like Snipes would.

** Harley and Ivy make fun of Tinder [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech after berating Dr. Psycho for not being a real super villain, claiming he's just an angry misogynistic asshole who wears hats to feel better about himself]].
** When he's possessing Poison Ivy, Dr Psycho taunts that Ivy, Harley, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman could all be stars for a [[Creator/TheCW CW show]] if they were only more physically attractive. This is also combined with a little SelfDeprecatingHumor and LeaningOnTheFourthWall.

* ThanksForTheMammary: Kite Man rescues Harley from Ivy at the beginning, and only realises after about 30 seconds of flight that he has his hand on one of her breasts - after she points it out.

* TheToothHurts: At the end of his fight with Wonder Woman, King Shark fakes being knocked out to attempt to bite her arm off. He ends up biting into her [[MadeOfIndestructium unbreakable bracelets]], breaking his front teeth.

* TrueLovesKiss: Subverted. Kite Man tries doing this to Ivy to break the mind control, but it doesn't work and Ivy just smacks him away. Harley tries it on Ivy and it seems like it worked, but in reality, Psycho just lost focus because GirlOnGirlIsHot and Harley is able to put the earpiece on Ivy to block Psycho's mind control before he can recover.

* IncrediblyLamePun: Superman tries one with some bystanders who are recording him and Ivy fighting. They aren't that impressed.

** Superman flirting with Harley while under Ivy's love pheromones may be a reference to how his DCEU actor, Creator/HenryCavill, used to date Creator/KaleyCuoco.

* TechnologyMarchesOn:

** In-Universe: Electronic Sy's initial plan requires a floppy disk, a [=VHS=] tape, and an 8-track recording of a [[Music/TheMonkees Monkees]] song. Harley quickly points out the impracticality of obtaining these items in the present.

* RealityEnsues:
** The device that gave Sy Borgman his immunity to Dr. Psycho's mind control was built decades ago. While it used components that were commonplace back in his days as a CIA agent, those are obsolete items that almost nobody uses in the present day. So replicating the device is an issue.
** Kites don't work from ground level. Harley grumbles that Kite Man should switch to a JetPack.
