We pick up InMediasRes right at the film's climax, Aldrich Killian has revealed himself as the BigBad and has been tracked down to his hideout at the docks by Tony "Iron Man" Stark and James "War Machine" Rhodes. Killian has taken hostage both [[DamselInDistress Pepper Potts]] -- Tony's longtime colleague/love interest -- and [[DistressedDude Matthew Ellis]] -- the [[OurPresidentsAreDifferent (fictional)]] incumbent President of the United States of America. The question now is, are Tony and Rhody bad enough dudes to save the hostages and take down their foe?

Also, Aldrich Killian is dead and Pepper Potts may have developed superpowers.superpowers.
* ChekhovsGun: A borderline-tragic example: Because Kara only learned Rhodey had Luck ''after'' the President was shot and taken to a hospital, it ultimately gets used at the end of the campaign in regards to the President ''surviving'' being shot.

* ExactWords: Kara managed to get Paulo to allow her to use her Luck roll on the President's survival by pointing out the mechanic in [=GURPS=] allows it to be used on ''outside events'' that effect a given player.
-->'''Paulo''': That's fair, that definitely effects you. If the President dies, you're in ''much'' worse shape...
* {{Foreshadowing}}: This Bonus Scene started at the end of Part 3 of [[Recap/FilmRerollGoonies Goonies]]. As such, take note of the episode description, [[SpottingTheThread and note the odd one out.]]
-->''Goonies proceeds on apace! Scott pushes some buttons! Joz runs from a librarian! Andy goes to prison! Jon communes with technology! [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers [Kara] shoots a president!]]''

* LateArrivalSpoiler: Yes, this bonus scene ''does'' in fact spoil most of the plot twists from the original film, including the big one that Aldrich Killian was the "real" Mandarin all along. The players even devote some time to discussing how well it worked (or didn’t.)

Added DiffLines:

* LoopholeAbuse: At the end of the scene, Paulo decides to roll to see if the President survived being shot in the face, causing Kara to ''immediately'' declare she was using her Luck. When Paulo tries to point out she can't at this point, it is revealed she ''looked up the rule definition'' to justify using it at this point:[[note]]"Your Luck only applies to your own success, damage, or reaction rolls, ''or'' [[ExactWords on outside events that affect you or your whole party]][.]"[[/note]]
-->'''Paulo''': And that's it for ''Iron Man 3'', we're gonna roll to see if the President survived-
-->'''Kara''': ''I'm using my Luck!''
-->'''Paulo''': No, it's not your roll. You failed-
-->'''Kara''': (cutting Paulo off; borderline manic) A-''ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!'' '''HO HO HO!''' '''''WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW THE RULES OF GURPS,''' my friend?!''

Added DiffLines:

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Rather than stick around for the court martial proceedings, Rhodey decided to take the Iron Patriot armor to a far-off island.
