Many supposed years after Belle married Prince Adam, they, and a whole gaggle of other Disney characters who found the very same happiness celebrated the founding of Auradon. Unfortunately, many villains were exiled to an island prison where a majority of them could no longer access their unique abilities. And in turn, those who aided some Disney heroes decided to seal away their own abilities.
But the villains were getting restless, and even vengeful! Yet both sides knew that the only thing tougher than banishment or running a kingdom was...Parenthood.
Which starts the first string of adventures off with Prince Ben getting ready to take his father's place in the kingdom, and the four VK's who have no idea that Ben's thinking about letting them have a chance at being good. But for those who figured it out, some are doubtful, and Maleficent finds an chance at revenge! So, she has her daughter(Mal)and her friends(Evie, Jay, and Carlos)use this chance to steal the one thing that could ensure the villains' freedom. At first, the four try to blend in, with some hurdles thrown their way by some of the kids of Auradon's finest(Chad, Audrey, Lonnie, and Jane)but they manage to get through them. But as the coronation rolls around, the four start to get desperate. So, Mal decides to get close to Ben(a plan that draws out some rage within Audrey). But finally seeing the point of why they're here, Mal and co decide to live their new lives as expected.
Bet you thought that the coronation running smooth would make this a 'Happily Ever After', right? Sorry folks, this is not The End, not by a long shot.
Besides, Mal isn't getting used to all the changes going on around her. And with Cotillion around the corner, who can blame her?
