"Hello, you must be the new security guard. My name is Foxy. Yours?"

"Make way, for I am no longer Foxy, but... Pirate Foxy."
(Pirate) Foxy

Foxy Gets Hooked is an animated short film by Harvey Rothman. It's a Denser and Wackier take on the first Five Nights at Freddy's, depicting the animatronics as sentient beings with distinct personalities who often argue with each other. The short stars Foxy, depicted here as a meek, mild-mannered guy who is ordered by Freddy and Bonnie to greet the new security guard at Freddy's. The security guard slams the door on Foxy's hand, cutting it off. Foxy inserts a pan hook into his arm, giving himself a Hook Hand, and switches to a new pirate voice to match. Things get weirder from there.

The short stars Harvey Rothman himself as Foxy, Robert Moore as Bonnie and the "horrific yells," Isabella Celeste Rothman as Chica, Nikola "LeatherIceCream" Rakonjac as Freddy, and Pyrocynical as Pirate Foxy.

You can watch it HERE.

Tropes don't have a Southern English accent, Foxy:

  • An Arm and a Leg: The main hook of the plot is how Foxy got his hook, and naturally it shows his hand being cut off by the security door.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Freddy wins the fight that he started against Foxy. However, it's Played for Laughs, as Foxy gets comically turned into a flip top trash can.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Played for Laughs. Freddy Fazbear is portrayed as a dumb, hotheaded bully who cartoonishly beats up Foxy. He's also the only animatronic to be violent and hostile in this version.
  • Black Eyes of Crazy: Zigzagged. Instead of the plastic eyeballs that the animatronics have in Five Nights at Freddy's, Harvey gives them digital, black screens for eyes, with brightly colored pupils. Foxy's pupils are yellow, Chica and Bonnie's are blue, and Freddy's are reddish-orange. However, Freddy is basically the Token Evil Teammate of the animatronics. Bonnie is rude, but not as antagonistic as Freddy, while Foxy and Chica are much nicer in comparison.
  • Dirty Coward: When a fight breaks out between Foxy and Freddy, Bonnie looks like he's going to aid Freddy... only to quickly take shelter in a rabbit cage, transforming into a shivering, realistic-looking bunny as well.
  • Evil Brit: Downplayed with Bonnie. He has a posh accent with a voice similar to Richard Ayoade. He doesn't do anything terribly evil, but he is constantly rude (not to mention a Dirty Coward), and he's implied to be a suck-up to Freddy, who is more outright antagonistic. Averted with Foxy, whose accent is described in-universe as "Southern English," and Chica, who has a Welsh accent. Both are very nice, and not one bit evil.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Freddy is the Token Evil Teammate, and the most hammy character in the short. His strong Southern US accent helps.
Freddy: I'VE JUST ABOUT HAD ENOUGH O' THIS!
  • Furry Reminder: Bonnie transforms into a realistic-looking rabbit when he seeks shelter in a rabbit cage the moment Freddy and Foxy start fighting.
  • Gainax Ending: The short ends with Foxy getting slammed to the ground by Freddy, crushing Foxy into a small form which Chica uses as a fliptop trash can. Cut to the credits, which show the security guard crawling home, with his chair still glued to his backside, while a snail outpaces him. Then it turns out that they were in a race, and the snail won.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Chica, who has a noticeable Welsh accent, inserts a little Welsh into her sentences.
Chica: Oh, what happened there, Foxy bach?note
    (later)
Chica: Look, I have dim cliw.note
  • Incoming Ham: Freddy makes his entrance in the climax by slamming open a door and screaming for seemingly no reason (using the jumpscare scream from Five Nights at Freddy's). He then starts sassing Foxy.
Freddy: Well, that's stupid and all, but what kind of pirate has a Southern English accent?! Pirates don't have a Southern English accent, Foxy.
  • Insane Troll Logic: When Foxy switches to his "pirate" mode, we get to see inside Freddy's brain. We see "Foxy = Pirate" and "Pirate = Mutiny". The two "Pirate"s meld together and disappear, leaving "Foxy = Mutiny". Freddy assumes that Foxy is going to betray him just for being himself and gets mad at the unlucky fox.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: When Foxy switches to his new pirate voice, he makes a joke about how his voice was "pirated." The other animatronics fall silent. Freddy looks annoyed. Chica looks confused at first before also looking a little annoyed. Bonnie has a deadpan expression, as if to say "Really?" Then he does a loud "HAHA!" before quickly going back to his deadpan expression.
  • Laughably Evil: Although he's the Token Evil Teammate, Freddy is hilarious due to his hammy personality, moments of stupidity, and his exaggerated animations.
  • Mona Lisa Smile: Parodied. The "Kid's Corner," a bulletin board of drawings by kids who visited Freddy Fazbear's, inexplicably contains a very detailed painting of Freddy in the style of the Mona Lisa.
  • Nightmare Face: The first closeup shot of Foxy and Bonnie's heads has them sporting disturbing expressions with big, toothy maws. However, they quickly switch to more cartoonish, less scary faces, making it clear that this short is not meant to be a horror work like the game that it's based on.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Downplayed. Although he is the Token Evil Teammate of the animatronics, Freddy's eyes are reddish-orange rather than pure red, although they do look a little more reddish in some shots.
  • Self-Deprecation: Foxy's default voice is labelled "Poncy Brit." Foxy is voiced by the creator, Harvey Rothman, himself.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Bonnie is the only character to swear. He drops a couple F-bombs and at least one "twat." They're all bleeped out.
  • Sound-Effect Bleep: Whenever Bonnie curses, it's covered up by a glitchy sound.
  • Sticky Situation: This short suggests that the reason that the security guard can't move around is because someone put glue on his chair. He stays stuck to it for the whole video, forcing him to crawl home.
  • Talk Like a Pirate: Foxy has a switch on the back of his neck with "Poncy Brit" and "Pirate" settings. He switches to the latter once he gets his hook hand.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Freddy seems to be the only one of the animatronics who is actually evil. Foxy is completely innocent, Chica seems nice enough aside from using Foxy as a trash can, and while Bonnie is more of a jerk, he's too much of a Dirty Coward to be a threat. Freddy, on the other hand, is violent, rude, and antagonistic.
  • Token Minority: Freddy is the only character with an American accent, and thus the only one whose accent isn't from somewhere in the UK.
  • Unnecessarily Creepy Robot: Lampshaded. When Bonnie and Foxy stop in front of the "Kid's Corner" bulletin board, some of the drawings on the board ask "What is with the eyes?" referring to the animatronics' strangely Creepy Shadowed Undereyes in the original game. One of the drawings even suggests that the animatronics are high.

"Goodbye."
"'Goodbye?' (bleep)in' enjoy yourself, mate!"
