* ItsAllAboutMe: Played with. Marcy is determined to have the villagers of Wartwood to accept her even though it takes time for her to fit in like Anne did but she does so without any intention to hurt anyone.

* AnAesop: There are two from this episode.
** Always be patient. It takes time for people to accept you for being yourself.
** Don't try too hard to get people's attention. It's best if you take your time.

* BittersweetEnding: Marcy's attempts to win over everyone in Wartwood backfire and she accidentally destroys the town, almost killing everyone and earning their anger. However, the villagers also note that [[NotSoDifferentRemark she's essentially just like Anne was when she first arrived too]], meaning that they're probably learn to like Marcy eventually just like they did with Anne ("whether [they] want to or not"). They also accept Marcy's offer to repair the damage she did to town for them.

* CharacterDevelopment: When everybody gets mad at Marcy for her changes in Wartwood almost destroying the town, Mayor Toadstool tries to take the blame. Yeah, you read that right.

* EasilyForgiven: In a way, the villagers of Wartwood seems to be accepting of Marcy's attempt to fit in since she reminds them of Anne during her first time in Amphibia, as they all leave with no malice or anything after the problem is solved.
* EtTuBrute: Anne is a bit baffled that part of the mob wanting to get Marcy at first includes Polly, who’s practically a part of her family.
* GenreSavvy: Anne knows quite well how Marcy will want to act to get Wartwood to accept her and pushes her to just be patient and let it happen naturally instead of trying to force it. Sure enough she isn't that shocked when Marcy does exactly what she expected.

* OutOfFocus: Sprig, Hop Pop, and Polly get this here where Sprig appears briefly with no lines while Polly and Hop Pop only get one line each in the entire episode.

* QuirkyGirlQuirkyTux: Marcy along with Mayor Toadstool wears a showman suit with a top hat as they introduced a revamped Wartwood.

** Marcy calling for Joe Sparrow at the climax is a reference to Domon Kasshu's method of summoning his Gundam in ''Anime/MobileFighterGGundam''.

* BreatherEpisode: This is the first of four segments to take a break from the temple missions, to Anne's request in the previous episode.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** The villagers of Wartwood have every right to be distrustful of Marcy because their last encounter with Sasha caused them to be wary enough to trust Anne's friends immediately. As such they are hostile to Marcy, out of fear that she'll turn out like Sasha, just like she did in her debut episode.
** Rushing construction on shifty landscape (in this case, marshland) without a proper foundation, especially with material as heavy as marble, is just asking for an unusable pile of failed architecture. If anything, it's a wonder it didn't fail mid-construction.

** Anne calls Mayor Toadstool "if the TabletopGame/{{Monopoly}} Man had a baby with a piece of fried chicken."

* EtTuBrute: Anne is a bit baffled that PD part of the mob wanting to get Marcy at first includes Polly, who’s practically a part of her family.

* NotSoDifferent: While everyone is reasonably mad at Marcy for destroying their town, the villagers admit that Anne was exactly the same way, so it's likely that they will eventually get around to liking her too "whether [they] want to or not."
