* DidntThinkThisThrough: Roger's go-to way of getting people to calm down this episode is to bury them alive. Not only would this make them even angrier at him than before, but trying to do the same to Stan was an especially big mistake; unlike Francine, Stan is big and strong enough to force his way free, as the ending reveals, and Roger gets the shit beaten out of him. In fact, it's harder to tell if Stan is even angry about the kiss anymore, because being buried is certainly a greater reason for one's wrath.

* HonorBeforeReason: Francine wants to tell Stan about the completely accidental kiss, despite the fact a swear to secrecy could be easily held, and considering only Roger would actually get in trouble for this legitimate mistake, Francine would essentially be tattling on him.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Roger says that Francine doesn't really owe Stan that much honesty; after all, he keeps secrets from her all the time, like his figure-skating past which has made him leave her alone for many winters.

** Stan doesn't even consider Francine's side over Roger's, and when he moans about how this will upset everyone's lives, Roger buries him, giving him a taste of what Francine went through and showing Stan that Roger isn't the friend he thinks he is.

Francine was trying to be honest with Stan, so her getting buried alive doesn't come off as karma.
