* MoodWhiplash: Meta example; going from Ninja Sex Party to Danny's serious indie rock/electronic-flavored music (Skyhill and The Northern Hues) or vice versa will certainly surprise a few people in how the same guy has sang and composed for all of those acts.

* UnusualEuphemism: Most of ''FYI I Wanna F Your A'', as the translations of Danny's sexual acronyms become more unusual as the song goes on.

Danny is also currently part of several musical projects outside of NSP -- Skyhill, an alternative/downtempo band with Peter Lennox that was originally active from 2006 to 2008 but reunited for single releases in 2015 and 2020, announcing work on a new album with the latter release; and Shadow Academy, an alternative band with NSP producer Jim Roach that formed in December 2021 and released their debut single "White Whale" in January 2022.

** The music video for "I Own A Car" has a few references to Film/MadMaxFuryRoad. Partircular, Danny sprays chrome on his face like the War Boys and Ninja Brian channels the Coma-Doof Warrior.

* ShoutOut: The video for "The Ultimate Sandwich" has a TrainingMontage in homage to ''Film/{{Rocky}}'' that even ends with Danny running up the iconic "Rocky steps".

* OurManticoresAreSpinier: The namesake of "Manticore" is described as a powerful and vile creature capable of despicable acts such as [[{{Psychopomp}} "inventing death"]], [[ForTheEvulz "killing your sister just for fun"]], and [[IBangedYourMom "making out with your dad"]]. It has been referenced in several other songs and music videos from the group. The funniest might be that despite being described as a 10 feet-tall creature from ancient Greece with [[FireballEyeballs eyes of flame]] and [[GoldTooth teeth of steel]]; it is played by an [[StylisticSuck half-naked man with a mask]]. It also gets chosen by the attractive young lady in "Dragon Slayer," despite not being in the song.

Ninja Sex Party is a [[ComedyMusic musical comedy]] duo that formed in 2009 in UsefulNotes/{{New York|City}} and is currently based in Los Angeles. The duo consists of singer Dan Avidan and keyboardist David Wecht, although they adopt the respective characters of "Danny Sexbang" and "Ninja Brian" in their music, which they base most of their comedy on in writing humorous lyrics and concepts.

* ADateWithRosiePalms:
** ''Next To You'', where Danny gets rejected by a girl but says he's happy to just be friends. He then spends the entire video stalking her while masturbating.
** In "Orgy for One," Danny invites a large number of girls over for an orgy, but none of them show up, so he decides to spend the evening masturbating instead.

** In "Next To You", Danny sings about how [[ADateWithRosiePalms he's going to be masturbating next to the girl]] all the time regardless of situation. Then it gets worse, as at the end of the song he spontaneously ends up having a threesome while the girl (and Ninja Brian) are there, right before suggesting the two of them get pizza. This being Ninja Sex Party, the entire scenario is PlayedForLaughs to make Danny look like a perverted asshole.

* MatzoFever: Danny at least thinks of himself this way, being a Jewish lover. He does however have his share of turnoffs for comedic effect.
