''All Hope Is Gone'' is the fourth studio album by Music/{{Slipknot}}, released on August 26, 2008, by Creator/RoadrunnerRecords. This album drops their NuMetal sound completely in favor of straight-up GrooveMetal. It was also released as a deluxe edition with three bonus tracks, including a remix of [[Music/Vol3TheSubliminalVerses "Vermillion Pt. 2"]] that appeared in ''Film/UnderworldEvolution''.

This is also the last Slipknot album to feature the complete classic lineup, with bassist Paul Gray (who died in 2010) and drummer Joey Jordison (who left the band in 2013 and died in 2021).

!! Tracklist:
# ".execute." (1:49)
# "Gematria (The Killing Name)" (6:02)
# "Sulfur" (4:38)
# "Psychosocial" (4:44)
# "Dead Memories" (4:30)
# "Vendetta" (5:17)
# "Butcher's Hook" (4:16)
# "Gehanna" (6:53)
# "This Cold Black" (4:42)
# "Wherein Lies Continue" (5:38)
# "Snuff" (4:36)
# "All Hope Is Gone" (4:47)

[[AC:Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks]]
# "Child of Burning Time" (5:10)
# "Vermillion Pt. 2" (Bloodstone remix) (3:39)
# "'Til We Die" (5:45)

!! Principal members:
* (0) Sid Wilson - Turntables
* (1) Joey Jordison - Drums
* (2) Paul Gray - Bass, backing vocals
* (3) Chris Fehn - Percussion, backing vocals
* (4) Jim Root - Guitar
* (5) Craig Jones - Keyboards, sampling
* (6) Shawn Crahan - Percussion, backing vocals
* (7) Mick Thompson - Guitar
* (8) Corey Taylor - Lead vocals

!! And the tropes will kill us all:
* AlbumIntroTrack: ".execute." is a noise track with spoken lyrics in the background.
* BreakupSong: "Dead Memories" is inspired by Corey Taylor's divorce.
* EpicRocking: "Gematria (The Killing Name)" (6:02) and "Gehanna" (6:53).
* FaceOnTheCover: The band members standing on a field with tall grass.
* MyCountryTisOfTheeThatISting: "Gematria (The Killing Name)"
--> "America is killing name\\
It doesn't feel or discriminate"
* NewSoundAlbum: Continuing from ''Music/Vol3TheSubliminalVerses'', this album moves further away from nu metal and more into groove metal.
* ProtestSong: Several.
** "[[AlbumIntroTrack .execute.]]" is a rebuttal of UsefulNotes/SpiroAgnew's 1970 speech blasting protesters of the Vietnam War.
** "Gematria" does not speak highly of American politics:
---> "Feed the hungry, feed them shit\\
Feed them bones and politics"
** "Butcher's Hook" is about the music industry.
* ReligionRantSong: "Wherein Lies Continue"
--> "Thou shalt not\\
Kill your fathers, destroy another life\\
Question everything we've clung to for years"
* SpokenWordInMusic: The lyrics in "[[AlbumIntroTrack .execute.]]" are spoken.
* SurprisinglyGentleSong:
** Hard rock ballad "Dead Memories" sounds like a Music/StoneSour outtake.
** "Snuff" is an outright PowerBallad, albeit a dark one.
* TextlessAlbumCover: Not counting the Parental Advisory warning or the degrees of the pentagram around the band.
