* SheIsNotMyGirlfriend: Sawaki with Kei. Interestingly enough, Kei will also deny this thanks to an internalized belief, despite much evidence to the contrary.
** Hasegawa and Misato will vehemently deny any sort of accusation that either of them have gotten closer to each other.
* ShipperOnDeck: The ''A. oryzae'' from Sawaki's household heavily endorse a relationship between Sawaki and [[spoiler:Kei]]. This includes holding up signs that say "True Wife" and "Just go for it!"

* '''Madoka Nishino''' - A quiet, sullen high school senior working part-time on campus and daughter of a sake factory owner whose business was ruined by corporate brewing practices. She is determined to marry Tadayasu.
