** On the other hand, in 'AudioPlay/'BigFinishDoctorWho the Eighth Doctor occasionally gets tortured, and while he makes a valiant effort to pretend otherwise, his resistance is limited. On the other hand, the Master finds torture insanely funny whether he's tortured or torturing, and is resistant enough that he remains a very dangerous ManipulativeBastard even after days of prolonged torture.

** Semirhage does this intentionally in Literature/TheWheelOfTime. Apparently, nobody trains their operatives to resist intense pleasure, so it works better than pain in some cases.

* Series/BrooklynNineNine: Adrian Pimento, a detective who spent years undercover in the mob and has more than a few... issues stemming from that, is very eager to engage in physically punishing activities just to "feel alive". In "The Bank Job", when Jake and Rosa ask for his help with them faking being dirty cops, he suggests they beat someone up and, when they balk at that, volunteers himself. His "ground rules" for this are entirely a list of what they can do to him, and he gets excited when he convinces himself that Jake's reluctance means he wants to do something "really sick".

* Slan, the only female member of the Godhand from Manga/Berserk, definitely qualifies as this. When Guts fights her at one point in the manga, the only thing that he accomplishes by impaling her and blowing off half her torso is giving her an orgasm. Because that alone wouldn't be creepy enough for Manga/Berserk, it should be noted that it's not actually her body at the time. She used Squick a pile of guts from the trolls that Guts had just slaughtered to manifest in the physical world.

* In Creator/JackChalker's stand-alone novel And The Devil Will Drag You Under, one of the jewels that Mac Walters has to retrieve is held by a demon named Balthazar, who lives in a primitive society that gives him full rein for his twin vices of sadism and masochism. Mac hasn't got a whole lot of time to get the jewel, so he kidnaps and tries to torture Balthazar - and finds that normal forms of torture are useless with someone who enjoys pain, the worse the better. Subverted when Mac does find a way to torture Balthazar: he forces the demon to breathe the fumes from a plantimplied to be that world's version of marijuana which gives a strong 'high' and neutralizes pain sensations -- and is also addictive. Balthazar gives in very quickly.

* The song "La Chanson d'Asterix" by L'Orchestre du Splendid is about a teacher quizzes his students about the titular character as if he was a historical figure and threatens them with bizarre punishments when they fail. When a student (stated to be head of the sex education course) incorrectly describes said hero as a typographical symbol, the teacher sentences her to be publicly flogged naked by the emperor's praetorian guard. She eagerly approves.

** ComicBook/WonderWoman1942: While Di is generally focused on the job even while captured by opponents, she often muses about being comfortable and has given villains pointers about how to do domination properly after she's got them on their way to Reformation Island, where her fellow Amazons will teach them "loving submission". There's also the way Amazons in the Golden Age seem to really like spanking.

There's also the way Amazons in the Golden Age seem to really like spanking. This is jokingly referenced in Comicbook/BirdsOfPrey2023, where Harley Quinn quips that the Amazonian guards she's tied up and gagged during the team's infiltration of Themyscira will probably enjoy themselves since she's heard Amazons love bondage.
